ENDANGERED SPECIES

I caught this item earlier today but only have the chance to comment on it now. In essence, yet again, the BBC is spouting more pro-environmental extremism clap-trap and using it to have a go at President Bush. It uses the tag that US “environmentalists” have accused President George W Bush of trying to rush through changes to the Endangered Species Act in his last days in office. These moonbats say the changes could take away protection for animals and plants facing possible extinction. The Bush administration says it wants to make it easier for drilling, mining and major construction projects to go ahead without a full scientific assessment. The BBC says that Bush has already been criticised by environmentalists for adding fewer than 10 species of plant and animals a year to the endangered list. That contrasts with former President Bill Clinton, who added an average of 65 species a year. Aw, how they must miss the degenerate Clinton

The BBC is obsessed with the environment and global warming. It knows full well that most of the population aren’t but that doesn’t stop its self-indulgence.

It’s about time the BBC got more in tune with the people who pay for it instead of inflicting its hobbyhorses on us for its own ends, or possibly to keep the government happy over the licence fee.

The enviro-nuts have used endless legal obstacles to prevent US oil exploration and drilling. Result – oil prices are far highr than they should be the US is in hock to the Middle East, all funded by the Chinese etc.

But of course the BBC will buy and support all the Dem/green nonsense about “investing in renewables”. Even though there is nil chance of gaining substantial and cheap energy from all the wind farm moonshine.

How to cut down a great nation ?

Global warming is so yesterday. I’ve even jettisoned my little nomme de guerre, The Happy Carbon Footprint. I mean, it is so over!

I know it may make you a little dizzy, so you shouldn’t read this without an adult in the room, but now we are into ice caps on glaciers getting thicker. Global warming dead in the chilly Arctic waters. Buy cardigans!

Surely this means that Bush was so much more in tune with nature. He was able to reduce the number of plant and animal species added to the list from the 65 per year under Clinton, to fewer than 10?

where david is the bbc “spouting” anything? it is reporting a politically sensitive issue, outlining the various views, and making a link between bush’s last days and obama’s first. this was an issue in
the election, so it’s a story worth reporting.

Conservation is not a right v left issue, as I am right of centre but still believe in conservation and preservation of nature.

Martin: it’s that kind of attitude that causes so many problems in the world. Heed the warning of Star Trek IV when it comes to endangered species 😉

Who gives a fuck about Polar Bears?

Not me. All they do is sit around on icebergs drinking Coke and watching Auroras. Bunch of good-for-nothing, workshy jerks.

Actually, sometimes they do something like this which no doubt upsets the Enviro-fascists. Which is fine by me.

Have they got round to reporting how George W Bush’s administration has had rather more success in reducing carbon emissions than their beloved Kyoto signatories have?

A couple of weeks ago the BBC daytime news had David King government chief scientist saying how he has not been as optimistic for a long time about introducing climate change legislation, as Bush had been obstructing it but Obama seems much more enthusiastic.

See the Christopher Booker column in Sunday Telegraph for excellent blogs on the subject.
