BBC is reporting that tom daschle has stood down from his nomination by Obama – but not making it clear that Daschle was a tax cheat. Or joining any other dots, eg this is just the last of several nominees that have been forced to step down.
So I don’t expect the BBCto report that a stink is starting over Obama’s nominee for the Number2 position at the Justice department – a guy who has a long record defending the porn industry :

More rubbish on News 24 about the great European project falling apart. Why does the BBC continually fail to point out that MOST European Countries (excluding us of course) blocked eastern Europeans being allowed to work in their Countries for several years?
When the BBC spouts on about the ‘Free market’ they really mean import foreigners who might buy a TV licence and hopefully if they get to stay vote Labour.
Sometimes I almost feel sorry for Obama, with all his irresponsible friends and supporters making their demands on him.

This is the kind of thing which made me laugh when everybody was predicting that the honeymoon would be over very quickly, and the BBC would turn on The Obamessiah once he started doing things they didn’t like.
No chance of that, I said. Anything out of order will be swept under the rug in Helen Boaden’s office, and they’ll pretend like everything is great (or something Boooosh stuck him with).
The BBC hasn’t been honest about the new President’s U-turn on gays in the military, or on one of the BBC’s favorite topics, preserving rendition and freeing all those agni innocenti in Guantanamo, etc.
During a recent catechism spiel, Pope Benedict XVI was talking about St. Paul’s preaching to the Corinthians about the Resurrection. The title of the address was “2 Facts Are Important: The Tomb is Empty and Jesus Really Appeared”. One of the passages from Paul’s letter now strikes me as being relevant to this discussion:

BBC 10 pm news. In full on discredit mode over the “wildcat” strikes. The powers that be must be getting worried.
I noticed the cameras only lingered fleetingly on the obviously very heavy mounted police presence. I wonder just how many police are involved? Do you think the BBC will tell us? In your dreams. The whole tone of the “report”, if you can call it that was to stress the illegality of the strikes and to focus on Britons working happily abroad in harmony with the locals. And to stress how damaging the British workers actions could be to this country.
Presumably Mandelson sent down a diktat to the news editors and they hastened to obey. Six figure wage packets are at risk. To hell with the workers on jobseekers pitances.
Every time a TV licence reminder comes I just laugh, as rather than paying them, they have lost the price of yet another stamp. I must have cost them a fortune. They also like spending nmoney sending endless ‘scary’ letters to empty properties.
In the end TV licence inspectors give up calling at blocks of council flats, as they realise no-one answers the door to strangers.
I know we get this every time but notice how the BBC reports this story.

Just as I’m complaining about the BBC sweeping Obamessiah problems under the rug, here they come with one article covering all his tax-dodging or otherwise unethical appointees:

News Sniffer says that this was first posted at 18:40:43 UK time, and it only takes until Version 3 for the Beeboids to start sticking in supporting quotes from John Kerry (of course it’s from a famous Bush opponent). By Version 5 it’s not only Daschle’s mistake, but the President’s. Which is the sign that it’s time for President Obamessiah to start smelling like a rose again, so now the BBC has to dress that up with a flourish: they’re “setting an example”. Yes, stepping down for being unethical is “setting and example”.
Sure, that’s straight out of the President’s mouth, but where are any words of criticism over this? All we get is James Coomarasamy saying that there’s “growing criticism”. I guess no pundits or Republicans had anything to say on the matter, and no US media of note had any useful reports to reference.
This is probably a surprise to those who rely on the BBC for information. And now, oh dear, there’s so much criticism that Coomarasamy has just now posted a little write-up. Of course, while talking about the apparent double-standard of The Obamessiah’s “no lobbyists from the last two years” rule, Coomarasamy makes sure to tell us that technically Daschle wasn’t really a lobbyist. And now BBC audiences will finally learn that quite a few lobbyists and influence peddlers have been brought into the fold anyway.
Finally a BBC reporter doing his job properly about US politics. Maybe the din from all the other media made them take notice. I’m sure things will be all smiles in a day or so. Will the story grace the pages of the Gospel According To…um…. I mean the BBC Obama Diary?

Nice bit of BBC double speak this morning. On 5 Live Nicki Campbell dug up some halfwit Labour MP who has put down some early day motion demanding that British workers get access to the jobs that foreign companies have going in the UK. Instead of putting a wedge between this MP and his own leader and cabinet we have some Scottish Union bloke from Grangemouth bigging this MP up.
So listening to this you’d get the impression that all is well in the Labour party and the Unions when in fact the Government is telling the British workers to get stuffed and live with it AND of course any attempt to change the rules would be against EU law and will probably get challenged by the foreign companies.
As I pointed out some time back the BBC took a while to sort out it’s position and work out how to be pro Labour and not anti European. They’ve worked it out quite well now.

They are having more difficulty over the clash of principles between the feminists and Islam, eg the muslim practice of putting a black bag over your wife and making her walk behind you. At present the line they take is: ‘it can be liberating to wear the veil as you are not judged by appearance’, but I think they are looking for something better.
Today I sent this letter to the editor of the Today Programme.

I feel compelled to write to you to let you understand why, after today’s Today, I have canceled my license fee direct debit and am prepared to go to prison rather than support the BBC ever again.
Today’s show was a perfect illustration, to my mind, of the moral, intellectual and journalistic debasement of the BBC in general, and the Today Programme in particular. And before you loftily dismiss me as neo-con fascist, let me tell you that I am an elderly man, educated to PhD level, from a working class background, who has voted Labour all his life. I have also always been proud of the BBC, but that trust has been so abused that it has now entirely vanished. I feel you have betrayed the people of Britain and today represent everything that is sordid, ignorant and ignoble about this country.
There is barely an item that does not expose your shallowness and bigotry, but four items caught my attention.
The first was the way you dealt with the Carol Thatcher incident. It beggars belief that a private conversation • and such an obviously innocuous reference • should have been dealt with in this vindictive and absurd way. It seems obvious to me • and I am sure to anyone familiar with the facts as given • that the BBC has used this to victimise someone whose politics (or perhaps name) they don’t like. It brings to mind the very worst of McCarthyism, and the fact that you lacked the courage to put forward a spokesman to defend the indefensible speaks worlds. I also notice that your senior management • unlike your increasingly dreary and didactic dramas – does not have a single black person.
The second item was the story of the treatment of juvenile offenders in Norway. I am not against this sort of discussion but are you really so naïve as to not see the socio-economic and political differences between the UK and Norway? Well, if you can’t then you are beyond hope. And if you can • and I know you can, because you are cunning and intelligent people – then why elevate this to the primary 8.10 slot? There are many other strong news stories that had greater claim to that slot. The truth is, as usual, you chose to follow your own agenda. This was about the BBC, not about Britain.
The third item was the Lincolnshire strike. As usual, your sole preoccupation was to portray the British workers (who incidentally pay your immense wages and enable you to send over 500 people to cover the Olympics or the Presidential inauguration) as racist morons. Of course your argument will be that protectionism is commonly regarded as dangerous. I wouldn’t disagree with that at all. But then why not throw some light on your pin-up boy Obama’s decision to launch a Buy American Steel campaign? More news management.
Then there was the 3 or so desultory minutes you devoted to the very peaceful and successful elections in Iraq. I thought this was a huge story, especially in view of the sacrifices that have been made in that country, not least by our own troops. And I have noticed with increasing astonishment that your programme (and the BBC in general) has studiously avoided this story. Now given the prominent campaigning role The Today Programme took in this • most disgracefully evidenced in the Hutton affair – and the way you revelled in the slaughter that followed (yes, you did) and the uncompromisingly negative attitude to the USA and coalition troops, I think even you must recognise your obligation to at least REPORT on subsequent events. But you ignored this extraordinary story, which indicated the success of democracy, the rise of secular politics, the inclusion of the Sunni community and the decline of Al Qaeda. Why? Who knows. One suspects it’s all to do with ego – Mr Humphreys and Mr Stourton didn’t approve of the war so let’s ignore it. Shame on you. Quite how you can look at yourselves in the mirror is just beyond me.
Moving on, we get to the story about the Iraqi terror Madame who got scores of women to suicide-murder hundreds of innocents (I presume it was hundreds, though of course no attempt was made to quantify the slaughter because self-evidently the BBC doesn’t care when Muslims slaughter Muslims). The idle, careless way this was reported to my mind reflects the BBC view that Islamists must NEVER be morally questioned. Such moral questioning is the sole preserve of white men (particularly Americans) and especially the hated Jews of Israel. Do you not the think the insight that this dreadful woman got these poor girls raped as a way of seducing them into murder (as opposed to honour killings?) is worthy of some examination? No, clearly not. It is simply pitiful.
From now on I regard it as my moral duty NOT to support you or the disgusting organisation you work for. I say this with considerable regret and disappointment.
There is a war between Government forces and Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka going on right now. Hundreds of civilians and many children have been wounded or killed.
No Stop the War marches and protests. No coffee shops ransacked. No rentamob rushing to attack Sri Lankan students. No cry that “we are all tamil tigers now”. No burka bullies calling on the British government to intervene. Galloway, Benn and Booth are silent.
No shouting at the Sri Lanka Foreign Minister or Army Chief from Humpreys or Paxman. No notes from a “voluntary worker” in northern Sri Lanka on the BBC website. Only a passing mention on News 24. No DEC national appeal for aid. No discussion on what constitutes a “war crime.”
Strange that. Where is Jeremy Bowen when you need him.

A day late but…
Interesting comment on the Toady programme yesterday about how short the nation is of Social Workers. The comment was that one third of social work students taking their degree course drop out and of those who take up employment a third of those have left within a year. Why no question to the purveyor of those facts along the lines of “Can degree level study actually prepare you for dealing with a “clientele” whose life style and problems are likely to be at a complete tangent to the student’s”.

He was born in Ethiopia.
He came to the UK in 1994 bogusly seeking asylum.
He lived in the UK for 7 years being given leave to remain ‘while his case was resolved’.
He was arrested in Pakistan attempting to return the UK on a false passport, having originally left the UK for Afghanistan in 2001. He was Ethiopian and had no family relationship to either country.
He was trained by Al Qaeda to make radioactive bombs in Afghanistan.
He has never given any indication of wanting British citizenship.
He is frequently laughingly described as a ‘West London student’.
He planned to set off radioactive bombs in the subways of western cities particularly the US, now that is what I call extraordinarily serious.

The problem with concentrating all this content from multiple providers appears to be the lack of choice, and the force-fed advertising that is intended to be included.
Of course, this is BBC Worldwide, so the content provided by the licence fee would have been converted into external revenue for which the BBC feels it does not have to be accountable for.
And more indication that the BBC has more money from the licence fee than it knows what to do with.

I saw an FT article the other day saying that the BBC has an expected deficit of some £450 MILLION by 2012.
Doesn’t stop them throwing money at the next dumb idea to come along.
Another FT story said they were trying to get back nearly £2 million in payments wrongly made to staff and contract workers- paying them after they has finished working with the BBC. Sems the BBC is full of dodgy types, £2 million is a lot of bread. Say 1000 people wrongly making off with an average of £2000 each – off our money.
You would surely have to make this stuff up ?

The Iranian sattelite was never meant to be an actual sattelite, the rocket was being tested to check its payload capacity and payload deployment operation.
The whole thing was a fraud to cover the testing of an ICBM capable vehicle and delivery system, and the BBC took the imadinnerjacket lies and blurted them out as the truth.
Iran enriches uranium and then tests an ICBM launch with a faked up sattelite on it and the swift decay of the orbit must prove that the Iranians are now ready to become a nuclear power with ICBM capability, the BBC just has to look at the evidence yet they ignore it and concentrate of making cutting edge programmes about how nice Iranian food is!
With ICBMs you have to test the payload capacity of the rocket and the deployment capability of the actual warhead, imadinnerjacket now has the delivery system all he needs now is the warhead and when he gets it he will use it as easily as we would step on a bug.
BBC news reported the Gitmo inmate as being “British man” then added British resident, so the BBC are giving valuable air time to a jihadist and pushing for this foreign jihadist to come to the UK for a life on lavish benefits for which he has contributed nothing, further more the risk that this terrorist will plot against the British when he gets here is plain crazy and sick!

The Iranian President is a class A loony tune. His personal faith is based upon a branch of Shia Islam that believes that Islam will only come to rule the world once the planet has been “purified” first by it’s utter destruction.

So last week, a group of well-armed masked men (State Thugs)smashed up the ancient synagogue in Caracas, beat up the local Jews and destroyed spiritually & historically important artefacts. They then called for the expulsion of the Jews.
I wonder if the BBC will illustrate these events (even if they can be bothered to cover it) with that picture of the brute with smiling children again. Like they did when he expelled the Israeli ambassador.

Anyone see that PRAT Harrabin on the 6PM News. Looks like he’s been sent out by the Greens to bolster the man made global warming scam.
firstly Harrabin explains WHY we’ve got cold weather, but of course fails to mention the pile of crap he reported on only a few weeks ago in yet another global warming story about Polar bears suffering in Moscow because of no snow. That was down to global warming claimed Harrabin at the time.
Then Harrain just slipped in that the world is going to ‘cool’ for a few years before getting warmer again. Really Harrabin? We who think you talk utter crap have been saying that for years, when the global warming eco greens claimed that was a lie. So at least Mr Harrabin now agrees. We are in a state of cooling.
“But some say it should be even colder” spouts Harrabin, then gets one of his camp friends to back this story up. What evidence is presented here? None of course.
Harrabin is NOT an expert on climate nor is he an expert in weather. What he is is a leftie mouthpiece for eco loons.
