Actually I think Boris’ analysis and prescription is correct in part at least.

34 years is actually extremely optimistic and it assumes no further people incoming (which is highly highly unlikely). Conservative and Labour have presided over this mockery.

Putting your head in the sand a al Woolas et al will not make it go away.

Better to make those long over stayers seek citizenship under the limits Boris says.

They should have to pay a “regisration fee”, an extra 5% income tax and double national insurance over their probationary 5 years. This would pay for any social costs such as NHS care and be put to doubling the budget of the UK border force as well as simultaneously intorducing ID cards.

At least 99% of the the illegals want to work, and are prepared to do jobs most would not do.

Then we might have a chance of getting a grip on any future immigrants.

Of course under these proposals the first to still be rejected and thrown out of the UK permanently would be Binyam Mohammed, no mention of that BBC?

Sorry to be a bore about the early morning comedy slot, farming today, but its actually getting worse ! It looks at every single issue from a completely different viewpoint from that of the farming community, so why call it farming today ?
Breathless beeboid girly does article on individual sheep electronic tags , in which man at auction house says their views on them are unprintable. Not a word about the fell farmers who are threatening to riot because of the sheer impracticality of the measure. Not a suggestion that defra might tell the eu where to stick them, nothing ! Still she’s probably too busy enjoying her £45,000 re-location package to bother.

Can’t find this on the BBC
    I wonder why…

Actually the MSM is largely ignoring the convoy which led Yvonne Riddley to complain, “There is a very clear agenda by some to keep Gaza out of the news and I am “dismayed by the Zionist influence brought to bear in the Maghreb.

First there is the logisitical nightmare of trying to find wifi on the move, or an internet cafe during late night stopovers”. Poor diddums 🙁

On the other hand the Egyptians appear to be quietly allowing small amounts of their cargo to enter Gaza at a time. This defeats the major purpose of this exercise i.e. publicity for ‘Gorgeous George’.

A rather interesting event from the convoy website also escaped BBC and MSM attention.
First convoy heroes return to UK
The four Viva Palestina convoy members refused entry to Egypt have returned home to Britain. They were welcomed this evening by up to 50 supporters from Viva Palestina at Manchester Airport who gave our brothers a heroes’ welcome.

Why were four lads from Manchester (‘Manchunians’?) refused entry to Egypt?

Another interesting item is the refusal by organizers to allow anything through the Israeli entrance points. I guess when the solidarity principle meets ‘urgent humanitarian crisis’ …

More Islamization of Britain ahead: fits with Labour government and BBC political plans-

    ‘Londoner’s Diary’:

“ITV plagued by new Al Jazeera bid rumours”

    [Extract]:

“ITV does have a future — but is it with Al Jazeera? Rumours persist that the Arabic station based in Dohar, Qatar, might make an audacious bid for the beleaguered British broadcaster. ITV announced losses of £2.7billion last year and looks to cut 600 jobs. Al Jazeera, which was first started in 1996 with an $150million grant from the Emir of Qatar, has established itself as a global news force with regular bulletins from Osama Bin Laden and it has won praise for its coverage of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

“The Emir continues to bankroll the Arabic station with annual subsidies. But what lends plausibility to the notion of an Al Jazeera tie-up is that many of the staff at the Arab network are old timers at the BBC and ITN.

“Al Anstey, who is currently its Deputy Director of News, joined ‘Al Jazeera English’ from the UK’s ITN where he was Head of Foreign News — responsible for running foreign coverage and managing news teams. Anstey previously held roles as ITN’s Foreign Editor and Senior Foreign Editor. In 2005 Al Jazeera also hired ITN stalwart John Pullman as head of output for Al Jazeera International. In 2003 the BBC signed an agreement with Al Jazeera for sharing facilities and information.”

the reason C4 are doing this programme is because the bbc is institutionally alergic to the possibility of government wasting money. as far as it is concerned spending lots and lots of govt. money is always a good thing unless it’s for guns.

Notice how the BBC attempts to avoid accusations of bias by putting a question mark on the end of their left wing statements.
eg Panorama’s “Immigration: Time For an Amnesty?”. I wonder, will they balance it with a follow up programme called: “Immigration: Time for Repatriation?”.

Also, incase you didn’t already know how lovely and wonderful Sharia law is, the BBC1 has done this helpful programme for you tonight:

    Celebrity Lives – Sharia Style!
British imam and politician Ajmal Masroor explores how celebrity marriages, divorces and disputes would be handled under Sharia law. He reveals the difference the Islamic legal system would have made to Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s financial settlement, and looks at the pros and cons of utilising parts of Sharia in civil disputes between British Muslims.

So the overall theme on BBC1 tonight is one of enthusiasm for more immigration and alien foreign culture. Anyone would think that the BBC has been taken over by people who hate Britian! 😉

R 4’s You And Yours (always a contender for the annual Socialism In Broadcasting Award) today gave lengthy airtime to tomorrow’s ‘demonstration’ planned by those three bastions of common sense; the TUC, Oxfam and Friends of the Earth (sic).

What are they demonstrating about? The recession (sorry, ‘downturn’).

Perhaps more to the point is ‘what do they have in common’?

On the face of it, the TUC campaigns for ‘the workers’, Oxfam for famine relief and FOE for ecology, though tomorrow it’s marching under the ‘climate change’ banner.

And there’s the link – the clue that even Inspector Clouseau couldn’t miss.

‘Global warming’ (sic) is a Left-wing cause. All three participants in this parade of clowns endorse it. Each has made this artificial construct its own.

Why? Ask the time honoured question, ‘Cui bono’, and the answer is ‘the Left’.

This is no coincidence. Combat ‘Climate change’ in the way demanded by the ‘Greens’ and, as if by magic, you will have fulfilled so many goals socialists have lectured us about since they crept out of the shadows – from vegetarianism to collectivism, public transport, ‘sharing resources,’ levelling down…

This is why all three organisations will stroll along arm in arm tomorrow, each perfectly happy endorsing the other’s demands because they are all after the same thing: the comrades, the bleeding heart multi-culti fake charity and the watermelons.

And, of course, there will be the dear old BBC, running along beside the parade with a microphone, breathlessly asking all the questions the Leftists want to be asked.

I suppose it’s too much to hope for a blizzard on the day?

Something stirred in the back of my mind as I read the Telegraph article about the “British aid convoy” being led by George Galloway: the name Yvonne Ridley – anyone remember her?

The website The Religion of Islam calls her “the formerly hard-drinking Sunday school teacher became a Muslim after reading the Koran on her release.”

    http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/445/

Isn’t it strange how these folk keep popping up and how little we were told about them at the time.

The BBC web profile reads thus: “Yvonne Ridley had been reporting for the Sunday Express and Daily Express from Peshawar and Islamabad in Pakistan.

A spokesperson for the Daily Express said the 43-year-old was the paper’s chief reporter and a highly experienced journalist who had covered several conflicts in many countries around the world.

Sunday Express Editor, Martin Townsend, said: “She is an experienced and courageous journalist.”

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/1570394.stm

So what are we to make of the Telegraph article that reads:

“It’s an absolute disgrace,” said the organiser of the aid shipment, Yvonne Ridley. “The power was cut. During cover of darkness members of our convoy were attacked with stones. Vandals also wrote dirty words and anti-Hamas slogans,” she said. “Several people in the convoy were injured in the attack.”

    She must be loving this!

    ‘Migrationwatch’

“Balanced Migration” (50 plus page pdf document)

    [Extract]:

“Our concern is not the principle of immigration, but its scale. In recent years we have
seen an entirely new phenomenon: very large scale immigration, the impact of which
has become a matter of increasing public concern. Official figures show that, over the
last ten years, nearly 2.5 million immigrants have arrived and almost three quarters of
a million British people have left, thus adding 1.6 million directly to our population.
This rate of arrival is 25 times higher than during any previous influx of immigration
in nearly a thousand years of our nation’s history.
This situation is not mainly due to the recent influx of East Europeans from new EU
member states. Leaving aside the movement of British citizens, two thirds of
immigrants in 2006 were from outside the EU1. Nor is this influx due to globalisation.
It is largely the result of government policies dating back more than a decade.” (Page 4.)

  39. David Preiser (USA) says:

Robert Peston continues to whitewash the history of Lloyds/HBOS.

    Will Lloyds’ chiefs resign?

As usual, Peston is trying to place as much distance as possible between the true ugliness of HBOS’s losses and the subject of his books, Gordon Brown. I’m sure I don’t need to remind everybody that back when Peston caused a run on HBOS stock…er…I mean scooped everyone with the announcement that Lloyds was going to take over HBOS, he said that the deal was being negotiated at very high levels, and that the PM himself was the one who convinced Eric Daniels to go ahead with it.

I’ve commented before about Peston’s recent efforts to hide any involvement by Mr. Brown. He’s doing it again today.

Today’s post is about whether or not Blank and Daniels should keep their jobs. Well, Peston pretends it’s not his opinion by using the lazy “some might say” trick. He repeats the story that they should have known how bad HBOS was, the decision was theirs entirely. No mention whatsoever of Mr. Brown’s invovlement, which Peston was trumpeting at the time.

Except, it was Mr. Brown who arranged for a suspension of any anti-competition rules which would otherwise prevent Lloyds from acquiring such a huge market share. But no blame may be shared by Mr. Brown now, according to his biographer.

Today, he’s even trying to say that Blank and Daniels should leave Mr. Brown out any decisions about their future, purely on principle. This is the same Robert Peston who for months was frowning about the dangers of the Govt. being part owner of banks. This kind of thing was bound to happen, and now that it has, he’s trying to find a way for Mr. Brown to weasel out of his own bed.

What Peston doesn’t realize is that there’s such a thing as an archive on the BBC website. I could find proof of his phoniness from other sources, but it’s much more fun to bust him using BBC reports.

Anybody who cares to know the truth can read this article from December will see that the government bent the rules to allow this to happen. If this was such a bad idea, but Mandelson said it was in the public interest anyway, why should the guys who gave the government a lifeboat when they needed get the knife? This wasn’t Gordon Brown’s original idea, but he jumped in and twisted arms once Lloyds realized just how bad it would be and what it would do to their company, and got cold feet. He knew just how bad it was, too, and Peston made it worse than it would have been otherwise with his little “scoop”.

Peston is desperate to suggest that there are valid reasons for Blank and Daniels to step down. He asks them to fall on their swords and put “principle before personal advantage”, when it’s really about protecting Mr. Brown. He’s doing this to completely sever any connection Mr. Brown has to the situation. The BBC business editor is a tool for No. 10.

“WE” use them for cheap labour, said the programme. Who`s this “we” Paleface ? Most of us dont and wont, but I suppose the Beeboids will in their favourite restaurants.
The figure of £11,000 per illegal to deport them is used. No questions why it costs that much – just take it as some law of nature.

I want an apology and a corrected statistic on the ten o clock news, or you can kiss my your licence fee from me goodbye, and I would be *delighted* to explain in court why I’m not paying for lies and propaganda. Hell’s teeth – a ten year old child could tell you that stat is garbage. The biggest caus eof mortality – bigger than heart disease, cancer, car accidents? You IDIOTS!!!!! And dont’ give me any crap about it being a Home Office statistic – no one could believe this,no matter the source, no one. Utter stupidity.”

Anyone interested can chase up my articles or Ally Fogg’s on the subject on comment is free – a fake state, used and abused by variou feminist groups, Amnesty, and foisted on the Home Office by the poppy project – pure lies. And now beamed out to the world by the liars of the BBC.
