This morning has seen a Cuban celebration on the BBC as Obama lifts travel restrictions to Castro’s gulag of our times. Listen to BBC reporter Michael Voss ENTHUSE about this. We’re all Cubans now.

Well, you’d expect female firefighters in Cuba, wouldn’t you?
David – I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or not. It’s obviously based all on whether you are being sincere or not. Either way, look at the other work I do; because it does back-up your remarks whether they be sincere or not. Always nice to see the other intellectuals like myself on here; or course minus the talents and balls most intellectuals have unfortunately. If David spent half as much time trying to piece together cute sentences on obscure websites; he might actually become known behind obscurity!!
My cinematographic non de plume is Art Wankstain and I specialise in candid female toilet epics. I have a funding issue at the moment, due to Obamas insane financial “policies”
Huh.
I was being sarcastic. You come here looking for a fight, to disrupt and taunt, not to debate BBC bias. That’s trolling. I don’t respect that. You say you respect intellect and balls, yet you come here anonymously and infest several threads with little more than a taunt and a link to something of yours that has nothing to do with this site, or anyone here.
How did you find this website? What do you hope to accomplish here, other than getting attention and hijacking threads?
Cuba’s strain of communism ceased to be a threat to America with the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The problem here is American policy has created the sh1t hole that is Cuba today through blocking any kind of economic activity with that country.
It is neither here nor there who is in power. The real question is why America has seen fit to base its foreign policy on a political dictrin that is no longer relevant or a threat to American soverignty.
During the Cuban missile crisis Castro was URGING a preemptive Soviet missile launch of the IRBMs on the Island.
Great guy..wanted to kick off a 500 million dead + holocaust.
A true beeboid poster boy.
Everybody keeps an eye on everybody, especially those in their back yard.

Not so. Without Castro, there would be no Chavez or Morales as they are today. Chavez has caused problems as well. He can’t do anything to the US, per se, but he can destabilize the entire region – which he seems hell-bent on doing these days – and that does have consequences up north.

Plenty of money was poured into Cuba during the Soviet Era, and by China afterwards (plus the cigar trade). If anybody in power in Cuba really gave a damn about making it a decent place, it would have happened a long time ago. That’s never how these political ideals seem to work, though.

Cuba was the funnel through which the Soviets tried to import Communism into South and Central America, as well as the US. It was a real problem for a long time, and we’re still seeing the results today with Chavez. It was always about much more than Cuba as the poor little Commie Island, all alone against the big bully, full stop. Much more. Not that anybody would know that from listening to the BBC.
Finally an end to all those BBC news reports of Americans, risking death and prison, washing up on Cuban shores desperately searching for a relaxing Caribbean holiday.

Millie Tant,
This one is an extremist film-maker named Cary Sontag. Obviously well-versed in all aspects of history, finance, politics, and international law.
I know I have full respect for his methodology and courage.
