Why do the BBC insist on using the term “Prime Minister Gordon Brown”?

Why not the “Prime Minister” or “Gordon Brown”? Are they trying to remind us that he is prime minister? or are they just reasuring themselves.

“Writing in the Observer, Ms Blears says the public does not believe many of the government’s policy announcements. “

We do that is the problem.

I’m looking forward to the BBC’s thoughtful and balanced approach to this historic event.Aren’t you?

Indeed – Britains first woman prime minister as well. Now I’m sure if it had been a socialist they would have a whole year of special programmes.

    David Vance,
Would be grateful if you could publish a guide to how to post on the new website.
What is “choose an identity” ?

What is “google blogger ” ?

I am reasonably fluent in English, Turkish , Wolof , and Malay, but not too good on computer-speak !

Do we have to type the “word verification ” in each time we post etc, etc ??? !!!!!.

David, have you seen George Pitcher’s comment on his Telegraph blog yesterday.

I did a post on it but of course not many responded because it concerned the Islamic religion. Just goes to show how in fear the ‘christian’ people of this country are these days.

I see there are rumours that Alan Johnson could be parachuted into snot gobblers job if things continue to head south for Cyclops.

Really? What YET another unelected twat as a PM?

No doubt if the BBC thought this might make Liebour more popular they will be backing it.

Why doesn’t the BBC get this “swine flu” in perspective.

Just read this on how “the world aka the UN” are panicking over this outbreak,
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8029871.stm

and then ask yourself “How many people die of the flu every year?”

Well these are just from the US.

“Each flu season is unique, but it is estimated that, on average, approximately 5% to 20% of U.S. residents get the flu, and more than 200,000 persons are hospitalized for flu-related complications each year. About 36,000 Americans die on average per year from the complications of flu.”
    http://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/qa/disease.htm

Why is swine flu special? Yes its nasty – but why don’t the BBC report every season on the thousands of deaths from flu?

MSM love a panic. Im Not just singling out beeboidism, which is unique for me.
As has been noted, it also gives the WHO and other supranational pen pushers the chance to call press conferences and play around with the DEFCON – like 7 stages of a pandemic.
G d help us if there is a major, real pandemic. People can only be scared so much and may think far more cynically of bodies like the WHO in future . This has the feel of a very realistic exercise.

Congratulations! The site certainly looks cleaner but it’s the judgement of Solomon between haloscan and this. Halosan seems unable to stay upright half the time – this system is clunky and awkward to use.

As long as the general threads don’t keep vanishing down the page, I’ll be happy – especially as the new, bright, layout will be Joe Public-friendly, which helps us spread the word.
