SUNDAY MORNING …

Anyone catch the Andrew Marr show this morning? Amazingly pro-Labour with Postie Johnson and luvvie Patrick Stewart bigging up Prudence. Johnson was on to slap down the Blears mutiny, of course. Meanwhile Marr himself commented that Labour had to be given credit for what they have already done for the Gurkhas.

And as an extra treat, Nicky Campbell’s “The Big Question” is debating should we be ASHAMED of our role in Iraq? Saddamite supporters in the audience. Total contempt for the British army. Universal agreement that the war was wrong because we were “lied” to and that weapons of mass destruction did not exist. No one too bothered about Saddam’s genocide. George Carey claims we brought terrorism into Iraq.

For further multiculti fun he also has a Druid on!

The look of this site might alter, the BBC agenda is fixed in aspic.

then roll on your rifle & blow out your brains
& go to your Gawd like a soldier."

Im glad I didnt finish work until 0330 this morning (dealing with the kind of person who the beeboids would love to defend; ie a druggie who was violent towards police) and was therefore in bed during the Labour lovein show hosted by Marr.

I actually pointed out to someone in my day job at work about how biased the BBC was. She couldnt work it out until I told her a few examples that have been stated on this site. And she said ‘Oh yeah, never thought of that’. And this is from an intelligent woman. That is the trouble. Some people still think that the BBC is the guiding light on impartial journalism.

thespecialone: And who is it that keeps telling us the BBC is the font of unbiased news? The BBC itself of course.

Where is the self criticism of the BBC? BBC Newswatch, stuffed away on News 24 for about 9 minutes a week.

The BBC should have a full on 1 hour per week show with independent guests examining the BBC’s output along with live callers.

Marr’s exact words to Joanna Lumley at the end of his show – when she was sat between Postie and Picard – were, “A fair point that Alan Johnson made, was it not, that it was the Labour Party originally, the Labour government, that did the first thing for the Gurkhas?”
How’s that for outrageous bias? Give that man a job in Downing Street!

And when Marr interviewed Postie Johnson later, Al made a dig at David Cameron & Nick Clegg's "photo-opportunity with Joanna Lumley". This was part of Johnson's answer to Marr's one and only question specifically about the Gurkhas. His answer as a whole, by the way, begged so many questions that a real interviewer would have had a field day with it. Did Marr challenge him on anything he had said? No.Instead he said, "Well, we'll try to organise that one later on, but…" and then changed the subject. At least he was true to his word!

Andy Marr made a cultural slip of the tongue on his Sunday morning show. Reading out the headlines from the Times he mentioned the Baroness from Wapping who has been claiming, “£1,000a year in second home allowances”
Either Andrew needs glasses or he can’t read but my copy of The Sunday Times reported “Labour peer claims £100,000 expenses on empty flat she said was her home” You missed out two zeros Andrew, thank goodness you don’t have your finger on the nuclear button.

    Why is Marr interviewing celebrities?
I don’t care if its Patrick Stewart or Joanna Lumley – no one has voted for them.

All this rubbish started in the 60s when some pop singer would be asked his/her opinion on “moral issues”.

The propaganda technique of “Glittering personalities” comes to mind.

He's trying to be Frost but isn't even playing the same sport let alone in the same league.

Re Patrick Stewart – he's a tosser to be sure but he was born 7 miles down the road from me and does a fair bit for Huddersfield so I kinda let the guy off a bit. Plus the Q episodes were ace in The Next Generation – was Q intimating that we evolve into the Q continuum? I think he was.

I felt sorry for Lumley having to sit next to Keith Vaz with a Kukri in the bag – the temptation would have been agony.

Anywho – let's get the boys on the baise!

PS & COT – John Virgo is an odious creature of the highest category. He's never won a bloody thing and yet can somehow criticize every bloody shot – nasty, horrible, dirty individual – it's the unique way they're funded blah, blah, blah. Come on Higgins!

Am I supposed to be impressed by someone on the TV waving a lethal weapon around?

I thought we were trying to discourage the yoof of today from their love of knives and bladed weapons.

I don’t remember the BBC regarding the triple purple heart heroism of John Kerry as being newsworthy.
