I suspect the BBC plan is to create divisions between Dan and Nigel, or some kind of trouble. E.G. If Dan believes in the UK leaving the EU, how can he stay in the Conservative Party and not join UKIP ? etc, etc .

I guess it is because some people here resent token women being promoted in politics on account of their looks and simply because they are women rather than on the basis of ability.
