Marvelous bit of predictable lefty statist propaganda courtesy of the dreadful Jim Naughtie this morning on the vile Today Prog. 'Jihadwatch'
"UK: Muslims could get their own police force!"
[Extract]:
"As Britain races headlong toward its own destruction, the latest from Absurd Britannia is the idea that one may only be arrested by members of one's own religion. The possibility that a Muslim police officer might cover for a Muslim criminal, in line with the Islamic teaching that one's loyalty to Islam trumps all other loyalties, does not enter into the considerations of the British authorities who are mulling this over. It is too politically incorrect an idea for them to contemplate."
"Muslims Could Get Own Police," by Katherine Fenech for the Daily Express, July 23 .
Just to bring a little balance to the proceedings, may I recommend to the board, "The Early Music Show". Broadcast on R3 at 13:00 Hrs on Saturday and Sunday. This is a superb programme, wonderfully knowledgeable presenters, sublime content , the same high quality every week. Shame about the Toady programme isn't it !
The same way that the BBC seems to able to get all the dumb shite middle class R4 audiences to applaud that self loathing ex public school leftie gobshite Brigstocke when he scourges the middle classes for their complacency, driving 4WDs daring to exist etc etc.
The Telegraph is fond of publishing items about the BBC. Yesterday David Hughes the chief political writer who “has been covering British politics for 30 Years” has written an article entitled “The BBC is treating Labour like the Royal family.” He writes that an item on the BBC news web site “could have been put together by Labour Party HQ.” He ends by advising the BBC to “at least try not to make it so obvious.” I disagree. The more obvious the better. In this instance the quote marks actually denote quotes. It’s nice to know as well that they’re not letting anything spoil their Christmas parties.
"Vermin (in some dialect regions, Varmint[1] or Varmit) is a term applied to various animal species regarded as pests or nuisances and especially to those associated with the carrying of disease."
BBC drama department's obsession with anti-American themes struck again last night – with a vegneance – in the previously harmless series New Tricks. The plot was that the CIA – who post 9/9 had roamed streets in Britain nabbing terrorist suspects to take to Gitmo – had also mounted a massive cover-up operation which involved random murder, torching and intimidation. Amanda Redman's character was so insensed by the Bush atrocities that she almost acted herself into a heart attack. And the American service chief? Well, of course, he was a one-dimensional idiot.
Now we know what the BBC drama chief meant when he said he wanted left of centre thinking. This could have come straight from the political aghitators' hand book.
I notice on the BBC report on the increase (or should I say continuing increase) in antisemitism in Britain there is no indication of where this racism is coming from. The BBC suggests a 'justification' in the 'link' with the outrage generated by the zio-fascist bombing of Gaza….So thats OK then.
Mind you I am still wondering if all these anti-jewish attacks are the arising out of the election of messers Griffin and Brons…. (surely no co-incidence) or from some deeply antisemitic elements of our society that are not easily identifiable as ideologically unsound
All such very droll comments. The reason I am a communist has nothing to do with my being placed on the sex offenders register – although I'm proud to have been added to such a legendary scroll. No. The reason I'm a communist is because it makes me interesting. Well that and the various benign growths I have on my face.
I know this site can be a bit lively but really you add very little with such weak and leaden trolling.
Just remember how your Communist heroes used to deal with any dissent, if indeed you are a communist and not just a bored A level student trying to piss off a few 'dangerous right wingers'.
Remember the promise of a material paradise on earth and universal justice held out by the Communist Party of the USSR and compare it with the sickening lies, paranoia, arbitrary arrest, poverty, death and opression that was the reality. People claiming to be communists sicken me in the same way someone proudly proclaiming themselves a Nazi would.
Let me ask you this – where would you have rather lived in 1934, the 'workers paradise' or in evil capitalist oppressed Halifax? How many British Trade unionists ended up in the gulag? I saw "Death of Respect" on very late last night. I assume it's late hour showing was because it may have offended the Guardianistas if shown earlier. I was amazed. A proper examination of the conservative traditional view of the family. And by that I certainly do not mean the Cameron PR pastiche of conservatism. I suspect even now BBC stalwarts are watching reruns of it from behind the sofa. it must have been a truly terrifying experience for them. Probably Cameron joined them. How on earth did it get made and past the censors?

I sent the following complaint to the BBC via e-mail:
"The article on "Iran plane fire kills at least 16" published on July 24, 2009 contains this statement:
"Sanctions imposed on the country by the US mean both public and private airlines rely on ageing fleets and have trouble sourcing replacement parts, says the BBC's Jon Leyne."
This has absolutely no relevance to this event.
The plane which caught fire is a Russian-built Ilyushin. Spare parts for this aircraft are freely available from the Russian manufacturer or from other sources. There is no reason at all to believe that US sanctions against Iran led to this fire.
The statement is a canned statement which has been re-cycled from at least one other BBC article on Iranian airplane accidents.
Its inclusion in this story would appear to be an editorial comment inserted by the writer of the article apparently in opposition to US foreign policy regarding Iran.
The BBC should report the news and refrain from making false and irrelevant editorial statements."
I don't expect to get an an answer back, though I do expect to see Mr. Leyne's canned statement to be re-used by the BBC whenever a Russian-built plane crashes in Iran.
There's alot of wriggling and contorting over here about the continuing saga of the chippy pseudo-intellectual, and very much hysterical, black "professor" Henry Louis Gates. You may recall the BBC reporting it as this: Black scholar arrest angers Obama. http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8164862.stm The BBC even pubished a story saying that the police had apologised Row over US black scholar arrest. Police have apologised to a black Harvard scholar whose arrest last week on his own front doorstep sparked allegations of racism.
The police are considering releasing the tapes of Gates going into an hysterica racist tirade.
All the TV reports over here are labelling Gates as a Grada A tosser. One of the arresting officers is a black police sergeant. He's been on the TV back his white colleague to the hilt. The BBC? Not keeping up with the story as usual.
I'm personally of the opinion that there should never be a platform for communists. Frankly I'm amazed that this latest manifestation is allowed to post here, but for as long as he appears here is not the best course of action to ingnore the prat.
Yet another Iranian aircraft crash, and as usual the Beeb tries to blame it on the nasty USA sanctions. This despite the fact that Russia will supply all the spares needed for the Iranian fleet – and nearly all the accidents are due to human error.
Sanctions imposed on the country by the US mean both public and private airlines rely on ageing fleets and have trouble sourcing replacement parts, says the BBC's Jon Leyne.
Anonymous 9:06 That is a brilliant complaint to the "institutionaly leftist" Beeb -no matter if they don't fall on their sword, a class piece of dismantling an indefensible line, come back to give more. (And choose a name. "L'Oreal"? Because you're worth it)
I don't know if anyone here happened to catch "Shappi Talk" on Radio 4 the other evening. It was advertised as a comedy and young Shappi, an Iranian lady, was going to talk humorously about religion. Like most R4 comedies these days it was about as funny as swine flu, but it did do its best to tick all of the diversity boxes. One of her guest comics was a gay Hindu and the other, for no discernable reason that I could fathom, was Ken Livingstone. This hideous creature has never tickled my funny bone and he only appeared to have been invited so that they could both slag off Daily Mail readers for two minutes. Shappi gushed "I can hardly believe I'm sitting in Ken Livingstone's kitchen"…she wasn't the only one. The most startling aspect of the entire pc lovefest was the reaction of the audience, whooping and shrieking hysterically at every banal, right on quip that anyone made. They sounded quite demented. You wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with any of them.
I know my name will be muck-but my new hobby is troll baiting,it makes B-BBC look rather more democratic than Al Beeb by allowing them to comment while at the same time making them look like the 6th form fools that they really are.
Lawks, Darlings predictions for the economy are treated with "incredulity" according to Newsnight. Is the worm turning and the Beeb wondering if they'll have new masters within a year?
By the way – has anyone seen the Glenn Beck programme on FNC earlier? It was hilarious. And: has anyone seen the Obama Healthcare graphic Glenn's been using lately. It's been crafted by Kevin Brady, a Republican Congressman and can be viewed as a PDF here:
It amused me to see that Jeremy Clarkson, calling Gordon Brown a "*unt" in off air banter, was severely reprimanded by BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow. They can't allow anyone to crticise the government can they?! (We all know that he is a *unt, let's be honest) That is not the BBC line….
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124835404608875685.html “The arrests in the public-corruption portion of the probe included the Democratic mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus, Peter Cammarano III and Dennis Elwell; Republican state Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt; and Democrat Leona Beldini, the deputy mayor of Jersey City.”
Usually the BBC likes to tell us when the Democrats beat the Republicans…..
The BBC report mentioned the "eminent" Harvard professor Henry Gates, huuuh, eminent eh?
Whats the narrative and whats the real story, the real question is did this race baiter deliberately provoke the police into arresting him to provide Gates with his cherished black victim of white racism status? Gates is no stranger to race baiting, he may be considered a racist and if the tapes are released it will certainly blow Gates' story wide open. Heres what I think happened, Gates plans a fake break in at his house with a witness, he waits untill neighbours call the police and when the police arrive to investigate he launches into a a preplanned racist tirade egging the officers into arresting him, shouting and screaming, issuing insulting and defamatory remarks and being agressive. I hope, I really hope the tapes are released, perhaps Obamas weasel words was an attempt to head off the highly embarrasing evidence being released, he did shoot his ignorant mouth off before he knew the facts didnt he? Typical black power instant white guilt, the black man is always the victim and the white cop is always the racist thug, the race baiting industry has used this meme to great effect, the victimhood culture has led to certain race baiters becoming very wealthy and powerful in the US. Obamas mistake was the kneejerk ignorant presumption that the black man was right and the white cop was wrong, oooops big mistake there from the POTUS, being president actually means you have to think before opening the cakehole, the half caste president should have been a symbol of black and white coming together, instead he exhibits the same racist, bigoted behaviour of his black power race industry backers.
The BBC brings you ONE side of the story only and guess which side that is!
It amused me to see that Jeremy Clarkson, calling Gordon Brown a "*unt" in off air banter, was severely reprimanded by BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow. They can't allow anyone to crticise the government can they?! (We all know that he is a *unt, let's be honest) That is not the BBC line….
no comment from the BBC about the countless insults to Thatcher (from Mock the Week, Marcus Brigstocke and other Leftie "comics")??
BBC R4 over the last couple of days; 1)Naughtie waxing lyrical over the great socialist model that is Denmark (no mention of the fact it has a tiny homogenous population, a strong very right wing nationalist party elected in 2001 and a tax burden which Danish many find unacceptable) 2) A lecturer from the LSE emoting about the joys of full unionisation and whining that kids want to grow up to be "entrepeneurs and bankers" God forbid that anyone should want to create jobs and money instead of lazing about as a gobby left wing lecturer. 3) Bob Crowe telling us that the gvt should financially support a wind farm as a green industry irrespective of their profitablity. We had an object lesson in BBC sympathetic interviewing of gross union stupidity. 4) thought for today as usual telling us to reject the capitalist system –bla bla bla as ever. 5) Shearman et al from the Labour Party trying to convince us and the gullible interviewer that Labour would be more popular if we knew more about all it's great achievments. A similar Tory love in would and has been constantly interrupted

Yesterday's Question Time came from Norwich.
Today they counted the votes in the Norwich North by-election.
The Conservative candidate received more than twice as many votes as the Labour candidate.
Would you have guessed that there were 2 Tories to every 1 Labour supporter in Norwich from the QT audience?
No, nor me neither.

I know my name will be muck-but my new hobby is troll baiting,it makes B-BBC look rather more democratic than Al Beeb by allowing them to comment while at the same time making them look like the 6th form fools that they really are.
BTW-I'm sure OMTE is our very own hillhunt

Lawks, Darlings predictions for the economy are treated with "incredulity" according to Newsnight.
Is the worm turning and the Beeb wondering if they'll have new masters within a year?

Iran does indeed have a poor air safety record:
http://www.planecrashinfo.com/rates.htm
The three airlines with safety records even less reassuring than Iran Air are in Cuba, China and the Subcontinent.
So be careful out there, and fly Lufthansa.

Brilliant. You've already made my weekend, mate.

(Funny, no mention of this on BBC)

“Three mayors from the state of New Jersey and two members of the state legislature were among those held.”
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124835404608875685.html
“The arrests in the public-corruption portion of the probe included the Democratic mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus, Peter Cammarano III and Dennis Elwell; Republican state Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt; and Democrat Leona Beldini, the deputy mayor of Jersey City.”
Usually the BBC likes to tell us when the Democrats beat the Republicans…..

TPO,
The BBC report mentioned the "eminent" Harvard professor Henry Gates, huuuh, eminent eh?
The BBC brings you ONE side of the story only and guess which side that is!

no comment from the BBC about the countless insults to Thatcher (from Mock the Week, Marcus Brigstocke and other Leftie "comics")??

BBC R4 over the last couple of days;
1)Naughtie waxing lyrical over the great socialist model that is Denmark (no mention of the fact it has a tiny homogenous population, a strong very right wing nationalist party elected in 2001 and a tax burden which Danish many find unacceptable)
2) A lecturer from the LSE emoting about the joys of full unionisation and whining that kids want to grow up to be "entrepeneurs and bankers"
God forbid that anyone should want to create jobs and money instead of lazing about as a gobby left wing lecturer.
