“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”
The Equality Commission has appointed former BBC Northern Ireland controller Anna Carragher as one of four new commissioners. Also appointed are human resources consultant Lyn McBriar, academic and former UUP MLA Dermot Nesbitt and retired policeman Peter Sheridan. The appointments to the body were made by NI Secretary of State Shaun “Where’s my Butler?” Woodward. He said the four new commissioners would “bring a wealth of knowledge, skills and understanding”.
Congrats to Ms Carragher – and what jolly good luck that BBC NI has taken such a pro-Good Friday Agreement line from which the Equality Commission flows.
