I see the BBC are running the story about some poxy Muslim woman being verbally abused, yet the BBC ignore the 40% rise in honour killings. I wonder why?
The broader question is this flaccid soapbox on stilits that is the ludicrous Toady programme.
All we`re getting is guilt ridden hacks on way too much money that agonise in public. They tow the NuLabor line with a nod and a wink to that nice Mr Cameron. Their stories are a schizophrenic mix of science fiction, Pollyanna fantasies and doom laden terror articles that frighten none of us.
We get water meters(yes please!) more airline flights(if you`re important enough) then Copenhagen. We get Silverstone(great for British esteem). We get a Minister saying that the Border Agency staff are “worth it ” the day after Brown says they`ve got to stop. Surely this is the story – a headless chicken of a State apparatus saying anything on a day-to day basis just to make news and create headlines. As if they should still be allowed onto programmes other than Crimewatch and benefit cheat exposes.
Time to bag it bin it kill it!
Dear Ryan We did a piece last week on Newswatch on the issue where a senior BBC exec said there was no policy on the subject – you can see the programme on the BBC website if you go to Newswatch. We will probably be doing a follow-up this week so if you have any comment you can email Newswatch@bbc.co.uk
best wishes
I referenced the BBC Trust document in my email to Ray, but he thinks the BBC have no policy. If that is the case it is an even worse case of bias on this issue.
Snoddy may be wanting to challenge the BBC exec’s statement that there has been no BBC policy. Black’s statement was such an outright lie, Snoddy may NOW be aware of the policy and wants to run it again. Well done for pursuing this.
John, I provided a link to the Trust document in my email to him. Perhaps you could follow up with an email to him too? I am not sure if he was aware of the Trust document at the time of the interview, certainly it is at odds with what Black said.
Looks like Snoddy may follow up next week, but I’m not convinced they will address this and how it is at odds with Black’s comments. Also, he isnt a Manager, Controller or Editor just a journalist.
Just watching SKY News. Apparently Brazil has sent 750 delegates to Copenhagen, whist the UK has sent ‘only’ 75. With 1 BBC employee for every two.
meanwhile, back on BBC Breakfast News, there’s ‘good’ green, ‘bad’ green and ”tee-hee’ it’s not green but as we like it we’ll fid a weasel’.
Just a few days after the Branson ‘it’s OK ‘cos it’s made from lightweight materials’ rocket commercial from the Mojave desert, we have the street ablaze with fairy lights.
But…. it’s OK. Not only are they LED lights, but according to the teleprompter readers, they ‘are sure they are offset’.
The planet breathes easier.

That Raymond Shoddy. What a card.

“Shoddy” – why so? Good on him for calling out the Today programme, I say.

DB — my bad.
Misread the full Snoddy tweet line. No excuse I know but I was messaging a mate, and lsitening to Rush Limbaugh at the same time.
And drinking some rather nice freshly ground Peaberry coffee.

“Poxy” Muslim women are the section of the population most affected by honour crimes.

How about “Legal Jihadist Bitch” rather than “poxy Muslim woman”?

Actually she’s a white woman who converted not some poor Pakistani kid living a hell life in Bradford.

Well Martin, apparently when it comes to Muslim females, the BBC thinks the gob is deadlier than the sword.

You are quite correct Mr Snoddy. Have you been given your P45 yet?

Actually, Scoddy does not refer to dissenting voices as “deniers” or “sceptics”. I’m not sure about the word dissident.
Snoddy I would guess is a rare thing at the BBC. Maybe that is why you don’t see him on the 6 o’clock news.

So he didn’t even acknowledge the existence of the report? I thought better of him than that. Well done putting it in his face.

I guess they’ll probably record it late Wednesday or Thursday so might be timely to email them asap.

‘Eat less meat’ says carbon footprint burger chain

The world has gone completely insane.

Wow, beef has a very large so-clled ‘carbon footprint’. I was having trouble deciding what joint to get for Sunday, but now I’ve made my mind up.

Make the most of it Asuka, I can foresee heavy taxes on meat in the future. Oh joy…

Does “eat less meat” apply to beeboids on Hampstead Heath as well?
