According to the presenter on a World Service panel show today, unless MMCC is tackled, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL DIE. FACT. Apparently, the sea will rise so quickly, people will not be able to flee. The temperature will rise so rapidly, people will be unable to seek shelter.

It’s THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THE PLANET. Not poverty, or abortion, or racism, or any other subjective measure.

Apparently too, it’s a THREAT TO PLANET EARTH ITSELF. Apparently, the planet will not be able to readust, to continue as it has done for billions of years before we came along and released a bit of the carbon locked in the ground. Oh no.

Latest opinion poll shows Tories 17% ahead of the jock Mafia. I thought I’d post it here as if you’re listening to the BBC tomorrow they won’t mention it.

Oh and I see Labour Minister Ben Bradshaw has f***ed off on a nice long haul flight (business class) to Sri Lanka. Didn’t he lecture us about climate change the other week on Question Time? The BBC didn’t report THAT story either.

Like I say when the liberal left elite talk about cutting back on flying they mean YOU LOT not them.

I see – http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/8423357.stm – that the BBC want us to feel Gerry Adams’ pain ”
Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams has revealed that his late father subjected family members to emotional, physical and sexual abuse over many years.
In a statement, Mr Adams said the family made the discovery in the 1990s and were still trying to come to terms with what happened.
“This discovery and the abuse which preceded it have had a devastating impact on our entire family,” he said.
“We live with the consequences every single day.””

I wonder if the BBC will soon be asking us to feel the pain of other ‘former’ supporters of terrorism or even (shock horror) the surviving relatives of those killed by the IRA during ‘the troubles’?

    The Beeb Shrugs

    […]

The Beeb’s complaints dept. wrote back:
Having investigated your complaint, BBC London would like to apologise for any offence you might have felt on hearing Mr White’s comments. However, we would point out that Mr White is not a BBC journalist, and he was clearly introduced to listeners as a commentator from the Guardian newspaper.
He was putting forward his own views with his own choice of words, and, as with other commentators, the listener is free to make up their own mind on the validity of his arguments. The BBC’s advice to its own journalists would be to use plain and simple language, rather than make value judgements, but we cannot apply the same guidance to interviewees.
Mr White’s comments about Israel were a brief aside, along with other remarks about Northern Ireland, during the interview about Signor Berlusconi. In these circumstances, the presenter had to judge whether to divert the interview into a discussion about what Israel calls ‘targeted killing’ or his comments about Northern Ireland rather than concentrate on the matter in hand.
Given this background and the incidental nature of Mr White’s comments, we believe the presenters were right to concentrate on the substance of the interview.

Fatty Nolan was having time off last night, but R5 was winding up for its day of  “Tory” bashing over householders’ rights. Being Sunday they had a guest clergyman pontificating on the news, not surprising that the clergyman was a sharia supporting Anglican bishop, Steven Lowe. After criticising the Tories for their timid proposals for getting physical he turned on the Christian teacher who had outrageously suggested that she offer a prayer for a sick pupil

The BBC is being dishonest when it presents Roger Harriban as an “analyst”.  He is a partisan activist, and there’s no possible way to deny it.  Once again his “Notes” feature is written from one perspective only, and his “analysis” is that of a partisan discussing what went wrong for his side.  Yes, there is the gentlest criticism of the US President, but it’s from the Left, from the side of Warmist advocacy.

Harriban is biased on the issue of Warmism, which is in fact the reason BBC management have given him the title and position.

BBC: unwilling to link Somali jihadists to Britain, and to British government policy of continuing mass immigration from Islamic countries, including Somalia.

The BBC has this typical headline which is about another Islamikaze murder in Somalia:

“Mortar attack as Somalia MPs return to Mogadishu.”
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8424945.stm

But the BBC is unwilling to make the connection of Islamic jihad in Somalia with the threat of Islamic jihad by Somalis to British people.

Given that British BBC licencepayers pay for BBC reports, one might think that a national public service broadcaster would be keen to alert the British people to any dangers. Like this, for example:

    ‘Times’ (May, 2009) :

“Somali Britons with jihad training pose terrorist risk”

    [Extract]:

“For Britain, the evidence of spreading AQ [Al Qaeda]  training camps in Somalia is particularly alarming because of the large Somali community in the UK. About 70,000 live in London, 10,000 in the borough of Tower Hamlets.”

Here’s some mindless advocacy from the BBC about refugees from Eritrea entering Sudan:

Eritrea:  the land its citizens want to forget

Now, it doesn’t matter what I or anyone else thinks of the Eritrean government, or if things are actually good or bad there.  If the BBC is going to make a piece on the topic of how bad things are, they should at least find some real examples.

Other than a couple of generic, uninformative statements (“there is no freedom”), it’s mostly people complaining that national service or other jobs don’t pay enough.  And that, shockingly, political opponents of the government are nervous.  This doesn’t give the reader any idea at all about what’s really going on. And I seriously doubt that 13-year old Mohamed is either a political opponent of the government, or was escaping national service because he was tired of the low wages.

The BBC should either report some actual information about what’s going on in Eritrea to make these people leave, or just put this in some section reserved for issues advocates.  As it is, it’s far more of a commercial for a charity appeal than it is a news item.

It’s emotional bias, which is not acceptable regardless of my or anyone else’s personal opinion of how bad things might be in Eritrea.

BBC favourite Yasmin Alibhai-Brown did pick up a dumbest question award but that was for a piece in the Independent, so al Beeb can’t accept credit. This is a false representation of the concept of recycling, because there are brands of wrapping paper made entirely from recycled materials.  Of course, the real agenda of this segment is revealed very quickly when they all start talking about reducing consumption, “anti-bling”, and several other anti-Capitalist clichés.

And then Peter York bleats about “teaching the people of Primrose and Notting Hill” about reducing their consumption, hiding their wealth, etc.  Gosh, I wonder which political party is a majority in those neighborhoods?

The BBC celebrates ant-Capitalist drivel, because they are biased on this issue.

    [Extract]:

“The Government has no reliable statistics on how many Somalis now live in Britain. One official reckoned that there were 150,000 legal immigrants and three times as many illegal ones.
The usual estimate is about 250,000, mostly in London but with sizeable numbers in Liverpool, Sheffield, Bristol, Cardiff and other cities.
“It is almost certainly the biggest Somali community in the worldwide diaspora and suffers from shockingly high levels of unemployment, low levels of education and wretched living conditions.
“A 2008 report by the Institute for Public Policy Research suggested that 46 per cent had arrived in Britain since 2000, 48 per cent had no qualifications and barely a quarter of the working age population was employed — mostly in menial jobs.
