What chance of Gordon Brown saying again:

“I promise – no boom and bust”?

Hope you have the time correct, because it does say 8:30 AM BST at the moment. Don’t want to miss out on tonight’s coverit live.

It all started in America. No time for a novice, we got it right, the do nothing party, inheritance tax, Ashcroft etc etc Oh and I misunderstood M M M M Mrs Duffy.

Well spotted Llew, and I’ve got the wrong time on the QT one as well…but as you rightly say, ID cards started in America and the recession will save us from terrorists so there is no problem!

Did you all spot the bias with the nice clear shot of a woman in he audience nodding to nick clegg? I did not spot – though my eye was off the screen here and there towards the end – any other close ups of people in the audience.

No, I recall at least a couple of moments when someone was nodding agreement at what Cameron was saying, although the were just off centre shot.

One thing which does interest me is how they get to choose the people who ask the questions. The question about immigration was asked by a black man. Now I am certainly not suggesting that there is any reason why a black man should not ask about immigration – indeed, it has been infuriating for years that race has been used as a reason not to discuss anything about immigration – but I am just curious to know whether that was (a) pure coinicidence, in that the BBC producers picked the question randomly out of the bag and then found it had been asked by a black man, or (b) as a result of screening beforehand the colour of the person asking the question. I can’t help suspecting it’s not (a), but (b) makes me rather queasy and smacks of unnecessary contrived interference on the part of the producers.

Did anyone notice Nick Clegg’s howling great whopper?  In the first debate he said the only referendum he’d have on the EU is do we stay or do we go, ‘its the only one that’s needed’.  Tonight he said we wouldn’t enter the €uro without a referendum.  What a liar!

I only watched the first 20 mins. then got bored. but I noticed the first question was from an  “asian”  and the second from a “black”. How very BBC.
I also noticed when Cameron or Clegg were speaking, the camera would cut to Gordon the Moron shaking his head. On the plus side , I was pleased to see how ill Brown looks.  Dare I hope……… ?

You were pleased to see how ill someone looked?  Sometimes people here are the BBC’s best asset.

I seem to recall seeing a vote on last nights LiveChat on what people hoped Gordon Brown would do, which included “have a heart attack”. This option had attracted the most votes, which I thought reflected badly on the site. I don’t know if it was commented on in the Live Chat as I don’t follow it and have better things to do than to scroll through pages of it to find out.

I noticed several times the BBC cut to Mr. Brown for a reaction shot, but I did not notice the same being done for Clegg or Cameron.  There’s nothing in the rules about it, but it did seem very unfair.
