GIVE THEM JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME….

An Iranian woman holds a banner in support of Iran's nuclear programme at the Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility, 2005
I suppose when we consider that the report is by Barbara Plett (Remember her?) we should not be too surprised to read the Mad Mullah’s plans to bring about a Second Holocaust gets a sympathetic press. Headed “Fourth Iran sanctions; Last Resort or Lost Opporunity?” Plett ensures that any tough approach to Iran is contextualised against the background of a kindly artistic people whose only crime  is toy seek nuclear energy. Can’t we just given them just a little more time?

There was more of this rubbish on the 10pm news last night – lots of ‘some people say Iran want to build a bomb but we shouldn’t assume the worst of them’ nonsense. It’s typical liberal left reporting; a country like Iran is always given the benefit of the doubt, a country like Israel is always treated with suspicion.

      David,
Spot on .  But Iran is a dictatorship and a police state. Israel is a democracy. That is  one reason why the BBC supports Iran and hates Israel.  It also helps that most Iranians are muslims and most israelis are Jews.
Of course the BBC don’t report much about the Iranians who hate the current regime.

Israel always treated with suspicion?  Not my choice of words.  Ermm, ¿malevolant hostility?

The main lesson not learned after WWII and the Holocaust is that when someone says they intended to exterminate the Jews you’d better believe them.

You are quite correct there Bio, the appeasers in the 30s took great pains and went to great lengths to assist the nazis by telling anyone who would listen that Hitler and the nazis didnt really mean he wanted to exterminate the Jews, it was just a figure of speech. There were plenty of raging anti semites in the west all too ready to believe the soothing words as helping would mean helping the hated Jews.
The hater and the appeaser combines to make a deadly enemy, the appeaser/hater makes sure no action is taken early when that early action would help to save many lives.
The simple error the appeaser makes with the islamic hatred of Israel is that its just about a few square miles of land and if only the Jews would give in and crowd thenselves even further into a smaller and smaller space all would be well. Its amazing what people will fool themselves into believing, Israel could shrink itself to the size of lets say the Warsaw ghetto and still the islamofascists would want more. If land were the issue then the surrounding states have millions of square miles spare and unused.
The aim is to crowd Israel into a corner, make her so used to giving and giving in return for peace and just when the muslims are ready they would squash her. Every suare inch of land occupied by the Jews and they want it.

Yes indeed. Land for Peace? How much land do they actually need?

“How much land do they actually need?” – all of it and more.

So long as the BBC maintains the illusion that Hamas and Hezbollah want only an independent Palestinian State in the West Bank and Gaza, there can never be impartial and honest reporting.

Well said Bio.  There is plenty of land in the middle east for Palestinians , if their muslim brothers would give it to them. The Palestinians could be free to follow their tradition of modern farming, business and contributions to the arts and science. Er…

And , of course, the BBC support the deranged Iranian regime and not the decent Iranians who absolutely hate it.

Screw Iran. What about our right to nuclear power? Plus why aren’t the Beeboids insisting that the Persians have to carpet their country with windmills?

    • David Sanchez says:

That’s a good point! Where has the ‘windfarms are the only future’ brigade been when it comes to Iran? They are all over the bleeding countryside here, I’d be more than willing to sell them to Iran.
