It’s odd that when the BBC runs a programme concerning the day release from a secure unit of violent offenders/sex offenders with mental health problem, the issue revolves around the fact that the offenders are “tagged” and whether this may be a civil rights violation. Not a mention of whether releasing these VERY violent people into the local community should be happening in the first place. I suppose in the BBC prism that’s just a no-brainer.

And, of course, the BBC will NEVER address the wider issues, like is it really a good idea to have policy on the ‘Mad Vs Bad’ question driven by the self-same quacks who make a life and a living claiming to be able to treat people suffering from Sudden Involunatary Axe Murder Syndrome?

Heard the crap on Today(where else?).
Funny then that Asil Nadir will be subject to an electronic tag-but the BBC see nothing odd or “violating his human rights2 does it?
Maybe Asil needs to wield an axe or consider a sexual assault on one of the lower orders-he`ll not need to wear one then without some speed dial lily liver to defend him at our expense!
