DRUG STABBING TIME

Lobbying for the legalisation of narcotics such as cannabis is an essential part of the BBC narrative and so, on cue, we had one of the “UK’s leading researchers on cannabis” on Today this morning arguing for the licensed sale of the drug for “recreational purposes”. Pity this esteemed “leading researcher”  ignores stories like this.

WE get these made up stories from the BBC daily know. They really do want Cocaine and Cannabis legalised. Poor old beeboids.

What next? That raping an 8 year old rent boy is actually good for you?

There is no war on drugs, which is a shame.

Indead, and the term “war” is profoundly misleading. Some people will always take illegal drugs. Some people will always steal, drink drive, rape, murder etc.

However the fact that these things will always take place is a poor argument for their legalisation. We don’t fling up our hands that people have been sealing since time immemorial and declare that the only solution is to legalise theft… or maybe the BBC do.

And BBC-NUJ gave George Michael’s drugs case an easy ride on Radio 5 today, implying that the main problem with George Michael’s behaviour is how ‘the tabloids’ will report it.

Apparently, George Michael’s conviction for the dangerous crime of driving a car while under the influence of drugs is a secondary issue to BBC-NUJ.

Mankind has always taken drugs.  Alcohol is one of the worst and yet it is promoted outlandishly by the very political spectrum that howls about the harm of ‘drugs’.  I certainly do agree that a lot of people are harmed by drug taking but that harm is magnified by the fact that drugs are illegal.  As for the scare stories about cannabis, again I think you will find that Alcohol does far more mental damage.  If we had been more grown up about this topic years ago we might not be in the mess we are now.
