  1. Craig says:

As well as discussing benefit reform, the News Channel (starting with Breakfast) covered the joint criticism of the government’s NHS reforms by the Royal College of Nursing and UNISON. The coverage was typically one-sided.

Breakfast got the ball rolling: “There’s a warning today that the government’s plans for re-shaping the NHS risk undermining its long-term future.” “The health union UNISON and the Royal College of Nursing say they’re worried about the scale and the speed of the proposed changes”.

6.20 Dr Peter Carter, RCN, critic
    11.50 Karen Jennings, UNISON, critic
13.50 Dr Anna Dixon, King’s Fund (and former Labour health advisor), critic
14.30 Dr Peter Carter, RCN, critic

Any defenders of the government’s plans? No. Which is suprising given that there must have been some defenders at the Tory Party conference! Why didn’t they ask a health minister there for a response?

Dame Nicola Campbell is in full flight this morning. Where to start, he’s at the evil Tory conference banging on about child benefit (he is of course a high tax payer) and how unfair it is that rich people like him will lose it.

Tory bashing all the way, oh and of course Dame Nicola is also going on about the stick and ball game yesterday asking Tories if they are proud of the European flag today. Well we know Dame Nicola is very proud of the European flag.

I’ve never been sure why the European team plays under the EU flag anyway: they’re representing the European Tour, not some tinpot political entity.

What’s going to happen if a Swiss or a Norwegian makes the team one of these days ?

If labour had annonced these changes to child benefit, the BBC would have approved of it. Instead they do their best to ridicule it.

Mr. Cameron all over the news today making a total horlix, frankly, of the benefits ‘fair, fair, it’s so fair’, with the ‘I think we got it about right’ counter maybe effective for the BBC, but not a person I can actually vote out.

However, the rigging of every reporting and opinion aspect off this by the BBC is beyond the pale.

If a pol wants to dig a hole with their own words and deeds, fine, but using public funds to shape every aspect in favour of a clear agenda is not.

You see Aunty, that’s your problem. Yes, I felt that Labour was, is and will be a total disaster. Hence I will err to any party who is not them. However, if these in turn show themselves to be as inept, as one of independent thought I will not blithely follow purely on tribal fealty and dogma.

That is the true threat of the hive mind coming to dominate the airwaves, and even more so concentrated with so few who have access to the broadcast only button.

Sort yourselves out, BBC. Soon. But, of course… no pressure.

I was too busy yesterday to see any TV and just caught snippets of R4 while driving. This morning I have been catching up with B-BBC and have just read the above posts on the Tory conference.
The usual eagle-eyed insightfulness which I expect from the posters here, but what depressing reading it makes.
Of course, we all predicted the contrast in BBC coverage of Labour v Tory, but it seems to be worse than anything in our imaginations.
I am not sure I can actually face watching any of the BBC coverage as I shall get too angry. So I pay my TV tax but my viewing of the conference is spoilt because of the blatant bias of the BBC which is supposed to be impartial. I shall follow the conference on this website !

that is the precise reason i got rid of my tv licence. i feel a lot less annoyed by beeboids acting as labour’s propaganda arm.  thought david cameron did well when camp nicky attacked him. even the phone in must have been a disappointment, they were waiting for people to come and attack the tory plans all out, but could only muster a few people getting annoyed. of course some mirror editor was there for balance

Craig. Have you ever done any analysis of Victoria Derbyshire or Nicki Campbell? I’m listening to Derbyshire right now and she is cutting across the Tory MP every 5 seconds, he can’t get a word out without her shouting at him.

She’s never like that with Liebour politicians, nothing like as aggressive. Same with Dame Nicki, I’d be interested to see a breakdown of these two tools.

Non-Muslims on trial for their freedom in Algeria (and the Netherlands, and in most places in the world with an Islamic presence):

INBBC merely reports this, without analysis:

“Two Algerian Christians ‘did not break Ramadan rules'”

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-11475137

Some non-INBBC analysis on the case, from ‘Jihadwatch’:

Algeria: Christians on trial for breaking Ramadan fast

    [Extract]:

“Here is yet another example of how non-Muslims are compelled to observe Islamic rules and mores when in Muslim countries. And of course we see increasingly that when in non-Muslim countries, Muslims demand special privileges and accommodation for their practices. At no point is there ever any concession or gesture of good will from the Muslim side. Yet this unilateral intransigence is persistently ignored, downplayed or mischaracterized by Western observers.”

Opening words of BBC blog column by Gavin Hewitt: `Wherever I go in Europe I am asked what happened to the Eurosceptics in the Conservative Party?’

Really? No word of exaggeration there Gavin ? It’s such a hot and topical subject throughout Europe that everywhere you go, people automatically raise the issue with you spontaneously ?…

It was quite interesting on the Radio 5 phone in (about those evil Tory bastards taking away child benefit from the rich) that most of the callers seemed to either support the move or at least understood the motivation (take it away from those that could afford to lose it and not from those that couldn’t).

Even the BBC seemed to struggle to find lots of people who opposed it, EVEN two callers from Scotland were largely supportive.

It seems to me that there is a disconnect between the BBC and the general mood of the nation. People accept that the nation is in a hole a big hole and that everyone has to make a sacrifice (except the BBC it would appear) and that the Government has a difficult job, thanks to the useless management of the one eyed twat and his lefty mates.

Dame Nicki seemed very out of touch.

Ipm TV news. Is Emily Maitlis thick or just incompetent? She is supposed to be interviewing Ken Clarke on his prison reforms. Not a word about it just her bleating on about the tragic plight of the 44kers losing their family allowance. I was surprised he was so polite to her.
Apart from the discourtesy to Clarke it really shows the priorities of the BBC. Attack at all costs the coalition and misinform the public.
The BBC is a joke at our expense.

As is obvious, the BBC-NUJ presenters are all paid much more than £44k (by we know who), so they have a vested interest in this issue, and are wondering if  money will be a bit tighter for spending on their second homes, etc. Hence their enthusiastic political opposition to the measure.

It’s an easy target to attack the nasty old Tories for being “unfair”.  Simple as that.  It’s an own goal, and has been and probably will be the number one story of the entire conference, filling up more than 50% of BBC coverage.

She’s as thick as two short planks. She was the one slagging off Sarah Palin for daring to stand as a VP candidate “she’s got a young family and a disabled child” bleated Maitlis. Yet Maitlis has kids herself, so shouldn’t she be at home looking after them? Oh hang on she has a nanny to do all that, nice to see our Child benefit allowance being put to good use. NOT!

Another carbombing in Londonderry, I see.  Or was it in Derry?  As a parochial United Statesian who is ignorant of the rest of the world, I must rely on the BBC to inform me.  But the Beeboid on the scene signed off from “Derry”, while the text crawl on the News Channel just said “Londonderry”.  Which am I supposed to think, BBC?  Is there a separate version of that text crawl for BBC NI?

In any case, I thought that recent inquiry result that those IRA supporters were INNOCENT was supposed to put an end to all this and lead to renewed reconciliation.  I expect that next we’ll hear about how Sinn Fein is as powerless in controlling their outliers as Hamas is about those pesky rocketeers.  Can’t do a thing about it, don’t blame us.

Wow, excellent bravery by the BBC to show that wannabe murderer’s suicide video message.  They actually showed the guy saying that he had wanted to join the jihad “ever since 9/11”.

Will the BBC dare address what this means?  Nope, total failure.  The report they’re doing right now is sweeping that under the rug.  He wasn’t having financial problems in 2001, BBC.  You lying @#$@s, there were no drones in Pakitan or US troops in Iraq or Afghanistan in 2001.

This little mumser said that he had been thinking about this since 9/11.  The BBC just lied about his own words, which they just broadcast!

I’m sending in a complaint as soon as I stop swearing.

D.B. is right about the “Tories”, but this blog really isn’t here to defend them. I am not a LibCon supporter (they really cannot be classed as”tories” since they were taken over by the PR people).

To the BBC though, no matter how far left they go, they remain “Thatchers Party” and only one side of an argument is allowed. That the LibCons sit back and take it , is their own hardship, they certainly will not gain by it.

Today a five lite women was “interviewing” a headmaster who has had his funding withdrawn to build a muti-million pound ultra-modern school and now he is going to court over it.

Not once did this woman take the other side of the argument. To point out this extreme bias is not cheer leading for the LibCons, I don’t care about them, but I do care that people may get the immpresion that the BBCs outlook on all things is the true and only one. There must be balance in all of the BBCs output and any bias has to be pointed out loud and clear, not for the LibCons benefit but the licence payers.

The childcare story is the BBC meme of the day. Throughout the week they’ll be picking up on the most negative story coming out of the Tory conference, and running with it incessantly.

Did that happen last week, or indeed at any given time when or when New Labour were in power?

It is so obviously an attempt to go for Cameron. The vast majority do not earn  44k or anything like it and it is disingenous of the BBC to suggest this is an issue that really concerns most of us.
I have a feeling this could rebound on them but so arrogant are they- just listen to the demented owl Nick Robinson dripping condescension in his interview with Cameron.

This whole child benefit thing is really pissing me off (as is having to type this twice because comments keep failing to show up for some reason).

Toenails finally admits on the 6PM news that the main reason this story won’t go away is that most hacks are big earners and they will lose their benefits (I wonder how many beeboids have been telling Toenails to really stick it to the Tories?)

Just how many rich single mothers are there in  the UK? I thought most of them were fat idle chavs living on council estates? 44K a year is not poor, it might not be rich but if you can’t feed your kids on 44K a year you need to have a re-think.

But what gets me is the attitude of the BBC, remember when the BBC were cheerleading the one eyed twat to put up income tax on the ‘rich’? I don’t remember Toenails going around asking well off single mothers if they could afford the tax rise. So what changed BBC? I thought the BBC were great believers in the old Dennis Healy attitude of squeezing until he pips squeak?

What do you do if you’re so convinced it was tough but in no way fair that you’re calling it “an unnecessary own goal?”
And what do you do if you’d already agreed to be interviewed on the last day of conference? ”

‘Newsnight’ and Islamic jihad threat to British people.

With the likes of Mr. Urban relegating this threat over the past weeks, and INBBC’s website censoring news of the Islamic jihad threats around Europe (inc. Britain), ‘Newsnight’ comes up with this:

“Drone death man ‘being groomed to head UK terror group'”

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11480267

Throughout the report, INBBC keeps to its pro-Islamic script of avoiding words such as ‘Islamic’ and ‘jihad’, but sticks to its misleading euphemism of ‘militants’.

The clue as to the Islamic nature of the threat to British people comes from the very name of the group involved which even INBBC cannot avoid:

‘The Islamic Army of Great Britain’.

Why is the Beeboid Corporation adopting peculiar Labour Speak? Gawd help us! Even the Conservatives are now at it.
Last week we had all those Labour types addressing “Conference”, whatever that is, instead of their Dear Friends or Ladies and Gentlemen (not that they are…heh!). Why couldn’t they address their pals as something human, even if it is the old “Comrades”? 😀  When did that stop?

Then we had Diane Abbott on the TV saying that she had come from “conference”. What? She had come from the conference. It’s daft. It’s like saying that I have come from “meeting” instead of from the meeting. She hasn’t even the excuse of coming from Yorkshire where she might come from mill or t’mill!
And to crown it all, we have the Beeboids now lifting the same Labour-speak, trailing a programme: Today at Conference.

Wind farms can affect local weather patterns

The research showed that, depending on the natural air conditions, mixing the air with a turbine’s rotor would either result in a warming or a cooling near the surface.

“This turbulence leads to a warming near the surface at night and a cooling during the day,” Dr Roy told BBC News.

He added that the effects were in the range of ‐0.4 to 1.5C.

Does the cooling effect make up for the warming effect?  Curiously, we aren’t told.  But we are told – by an advocate who is not associated with the people who did the study – that wind farms will definitely be part of the solution to AGW/ACC.

Actually David, wind farms have been generating excessive hot air from the BBC for years.

Obama Loses Presidential Seal: “All Of You Know Who I Am”

The presidential seal has fallen off President Barack Obama’s podium and clattered to the stage as Obama delivered a speech to a women’s conference. The president was joking with the audience and getting some laughs when he realized what happened. “All of you know who I am,” he quipped.

    Video at the link.

“All of you know who I am” yeah you got that right comrade!

Oooh BTW if the Republican/tea party win the Nov midterms then its all a fix I tells ya, the BBC toady show had some Yank leftist on to proclaim that big business is gonna steal the elections because of the dastardly supreme court allowing corporations to be viewed as individuals.

Its all a big fix IF the republicans win big, no mention from the lefty fruitcake that the democreeps have creamed off tens of millions from corporate America of course, it would spoil the narrative which is plain and clear. The reublican big business vested interests corporate America is out to steal the election.
We dont get to hear just how this would work of course, it would spoil the narrative you see, cant have that can we comrades eh? So IF the Obamaloids lose its not their fault.

Get the excuses in early and rely on the BBC to get the message across, if you are a democreep with a narrative to pimp then the BBC is there with time and money to make all your dreams come true.

I have it on good authority from a friend who works at the BBC (as a fifth columnist) that every New Generation Labour shill (or as they describe themselves – ‘journalist’) in the organisation has been sent a ‘fix’ for their Microsoft Word programme which means every time they depress ‘Ctrl *’ the words, ‘David Cameron faces continuing criticism ‘ get typed.  It has worked wonders for productivity with views bulletins now getting written, on average, about 25% quicker.

Todays Ctrl * is of course removal of child benefit from al-beeb’s NBFs, the ‘stay-at-home-mom’ – or as we used to call them ‘the housewife’.

My friend informs that this Ctrl * will last ’til the middle of next week, at which stage it will be replaced by an as yet to be decided Ctrl *.

Edit – My mate tells me they’ve had another, ‘urgent’ fix sent round.

Ctrl # depressed together autotypes. ‘ threatens to overshadow David Cameron’s speech this afternoon’.

        LoL

Just watching BBC Breakfast Views Daily ‘attack on public sector pensions (others are not deemingly worth mentioning as much, if at all), which I think is accessed on a BBC hack screen by hitting ‘return’.

‘Paula, a teacher who has worked hard all her life, is braced for… ‘

She is, apparently, ‘angry’ that, having prepared for years for her retirement (mostly in the time off she has enjoyed?), the taxpayer funded holiday she was set to enjoy is under threat.

No question to her as to which private sector employee she feels should work until they drop to keep her in cruises.

    Geert Wilders.

This is the sort of interview we would never get on INBBC – Gerard Batten (of UKIP) being allowed to talk sympathetically about Wilders (Russian TV), 4 min video.

    INBBC political line on YEMEN:

Yemeni murder attacks on Western people is caused by poverty, not Islamic jihad!

“Twin attacks strike at Western targets in Yemen”

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11482626

Out of nowhere, the INBBC presents the following, as the concluding sentencew to its islamic report, in which jihadists are described as mere ‘militants’:
“More than 40% of Yemen’s population live on less than $2 (£1.25) a day.”

INBBC is forever trying to avoid or justify Islamic jihad and Sharia. Why, INBBC, does your Al Jazeera contact,  multimillionaire, Bin Laden engage in mass murder against we infidels? He tells us; and it’s correct – he does it in the cause of Islam. The common factor in our enemies is not their poverty or wealth, but their Islam.

The BBC website has a nice article about how Michelle Obama has held a forum with a bunch of African First Ladies (no, it’s okay when black people do these things – freedom of association and all that) to help them learn how to use their position to help improve their countries.  Seems like a lovely idea.  The piece is written by the BBC’s resident Michelle sycophant, Kim Ghattas.

There’s one lesson Michelle Obama could have taught the other First Ladies that Ghattas forgot to mention:  how to have a Marie Antoinette-style vacation in Spain while ordinary citizens are struggling to put food on the table and facing severe economic distress.

Of course, the BBC never reported it when it happened, and never mentioned the backlash.

A non-BBC view of Michelle Obama:

“The Two Faces of Michelle Obama”

      (by Michelle Malkin)

      [Opening paragraph]:

“Two first ladies will hit the campaign trail for Democrats this month: Michelle Obama, champion of ordinary Americans, and Michelle Obama, money-grubber for the liberal elite. The actions of the second Michelle will tell you all you need to know about the lip service of the first.”
