Peter Hain given free rein to go on and on about how awful the Tories are. Beeboid Julian let him say whatever he liked, uninterrupted, and even gave him a nice juicy opening to criticize – what else? – the child benefit deal. Naturally Hain in his prepared wisdom said that it was a “back of the envelope” scheme, Labour Talking Point, Labour Talking Point, and that if they wanted to save £1 billion the Tories should have added yet another levy on nasty bankers. Which is what Labour did, he says, and they collected far more money than they even dreamt of. Problem solved, Labour point driven home.
Is nobody going to even slightly challenge Ed Balls on his claim (which we hear every ten minutes) that his constituents are always asking him about what he would do as Home Secretary?
I was listening to 5 Live’s reporting this morning of Donald Trump’s plans to build a golf course development in Aberdeen.
They had Doctor David Kennedy on to talk about it. He’s the man who is handing back his honourary degree after Robert Gordon University decided to award Donald Trump with one.
It won’t come as any surprise that he wasn’t particularly in favour of Mr Trump’s proposal. He was allowed to rant on that he was (Mr Trump) an insult to decent people everywhere, a bad example of how to conduct business, how local people were against it and how bad bad BAD it was for the area.
I’m sure it will also not come as a surprise that none of this was challenged by Dame Nicky. The alternative view that the development comprising 50-bedroom hotel, 950 holiday apartments and 500 residential homes could be a positive thing wasn’t explored. After all you could argue it will generate jobs, regenerate the area and provide a vital boost to the local economy and Scotland as a whole which will be of benefit to many citizens.
I got the impression that the BBC don’t really like Donald Trump – a very successful businessman and the product of a capialist society.

Thank you very much. In other news…..

Can’t think why that would be?
Once again no balance from the BBC.
