Have a giggle as we enter the weekend by reading Mark Mardell’s latest love poem to Obama.
It strikes me yet again that poorer black Americans have infinitely more patience than those who are new to economic hardship, (Mmm……is he trying to say w-h-i-t-es?) and they don’t expect change to happen overnight. But they, too, await results. There is little doubt that Mr Obama’s image is not all it was when he was elected. What is fascinating to watch is how much the upcoming elections force him to become another sort of president still – either more accommodating or more political and tactical.
Waugh, it’s all so unfair. How’s that hopeychangey thing workin’ out for you, Mark?
Me thinks that poster of Barry he carries around with him is getting a bit sticky. Ugh!

Mardell agrees with the New York Times and the JournoLista at the WaPo that He’s just too good for the dirty job of President. It’s nothing to do with His policies at all.
Whites just don’t get it.
Mardell also seems to think that the President really is doing the right things to fix the economy, and that it will recover at some point. He can’t seem to figure out that the policies are what’s causing the economic problems to compound, with interest. Of course, since Mardell is a Socialist, he wouldn’t imagine it possible.
You can tell he’s resigned himself to watching the President’s reputation go down with the economy, and is trying hard to remind everyone that it’s wrong to blame Him, wrong to doubt Him. That’s why he finds a couple different ways to say that the economy will get better, but we just have to wait before we see the results of His work.
The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.
(Matthew 16: 1-4)
The President played the race card when he was talking about barber shops and whatnot. He said very clearly that His opponents were trying to discourage black folks from voting. That’s pretty low, and Mardell eagerly laps it up and spins it away.
Mardell’s faith in Him is clearly shaken, and he’s traveling around the country to find inspiration. He needs to convince himself that his faith wasn’t misplaced.

I think David Preiser has become an essential part of B-BBC giving us a birds eye view of our cousins perspectives across the pond and I for one love his detailed and quite brilliant insights.
Please can the PTBs give him a regular spot perhaps and internationalise this blog?
Jus sayin is all 😀 .

That sweeping statement about “poorer blacks” was made after he had met all of two of them! 😀

He has never seen the Grapes of Wrath.

You know how it is with these BBC types. If an asteroid hit the earth, their story would be: Asteroid hits earth, minorities and the poorest hit hardest.

Mardell like all good little libbies believes in the state. To him Obama is the embodiment of state power used for , to be charitable, the general good.
The US is too vast and too complex to be much altered by one man. The people themselves, as always, will rebuild America. Obama will only get in the way if he interferes. If he is wise he will realise this. And his colour has nothing to do with it. Mardell like all libbies cannot face reality when that reality destroys his illusions. There is nothing so sad as a European trying to tell the US how to govern itself.

“..poorer black Americans have infinitely more patience” and these poor people will always be poor people under socialism. Socialism does not produce wealth.
The elite will still be rich and the poor workers poorer.
People like Mardel idolise socialism but only if they can be with the elite. He certainly would not want to be part of the “working class”.

Obama is the most racist President I can remember – and I followed the Kennedy election of 1960.

He’s a typical leftie black, play the race card every time you screw up.

How is it that a Brit knows so much about America? Remember the smug sagacity of Justin “I hate America and I am all seeing” Webb. This kind of crap is just short changing the licence payer.

People like Mardell and Webb and Frei would run a mile from a black man with real class :

For David Preiser – here is a hymn to the Tea Party in its battle against elitism :

And here in the UK, the BBC epitomises elitism. “We know best – you plebs should follow our propaganda, the economy should be warped to suit our prejudices, social values should be as we prescribe”. How very decent of them.

From IowaHawk – Obama playing the Washington Adventure PC Game, all his game decisions since he started. People here will be familiar with many of his dumb decisions / blunders – mostly hidden by the BBC.
Just this morning, I heard a Radio 4 presenter saying “The Democrats MIGHT do badly in the coming elections”.

And just to show how far Obama has really lost his marbles – for the past week he has been attacking the US Chamber of Commerce alleging it gets foreign funds.
That is the Chamber that has 87% membership from small employers.
That represents all the millions of Mom and Pop businesses across America. The businesses that are neded to re-start the economy, the businesses Obama is taxing to bits.
2 weeks to go. And all Obama can do is whine whine whine :

The President had to stop making those accusations after the New York Times called BS on Him. That hasn’t stopped CNN and others from continuing to push it, of course.
The highly nuanced brain of The Obamessiah also figured out that He better shut up or people will start to remember about how His campaign (led by one David Axelrod) turned off the address/location security for credit card donations on the campaign website. This not only allowed anyone to donate more than the legal limit for individuals, but for anyone in a foreign country to donate anything they wanted. It’s basically untraceable. It was so bad that even the Washington Post – which was in the tank for Him and had to apologize for it – published an article (sorry, now hidden behind the paywall) about it in the week before the election.
BBC: ZZzzzzzzzz. Connollys Kevin and Katie are too busy looking for militiamen and racists under the bed. Instead of covering the issues and events of the day, Mark Mardell is wandering around the countryside carrying that poster like a priest with a holy relic, hoping to inspire the faithful and himself.
