Peter Oborne had a right go at the BBC on Radio 5 this morning, which didn’t go down to well with Dame Nikki. Oborne was going on about the failure of the Euro and how the BBC attacked anyone who opposed the Euro (and our entry into it) as nutters and idiots.
You could hear dame Nikki getting wound up as of course he is a big fan of the EU (hosting Referendum Street a few years back that tried to convince us idiots in the UK that the Euro was the way to go) and his only defence to Oborne was to try to make the one eyed idiot the real hero, Brown of course only opposed entry into the Euro as it would have stopped him spending like a drunken sailor.

Totally with you on not wanting a poll tax funded state broadcaster at all.
Zero possibility of any of our mainstream coward parties delivering that though.
So its back to saying replacing one bias with another is no good, they need to be unbiased.
