SAINT JULIAN OF ASSANGE DAY

Well, it’s pretty easy to work out what the BBC finds so attractive about Wikileaker Julian Assange. His viscerally anti-American agenda was always going to resonate with the BBC so he was afforded two interview spots on Today this morning as John Humphyrs travelled to his mansion to pay seasonal homage to him. There was SO much wrong with this simpering interview not least the way in which the BBC insists that Wikileaks is a “whistle-blowing” website when it is not. It is much closer to a criminal conspiracy that accepts hacked and stolen information but so long as the US is the victim, who cares, right? Assange is able to suggest that he cannot justice in Sweden hence his attempt to avoid being sent there to face the serious allegations concerning sexual assault and the entire interview was set up as a soapbox for the peculiar ego-tripper Assange.

I though that the Humphrys interview with Assange this moring very trite and silly.  What a waste of air time.  I also thought Assange rather silly for giving it.  In his present predicament, he should retain an air of enigma, it’ll do him more good in the long run, because he doesn’t come over as particularly inspiring when he’s interviewed.  My tuppence’ worth.

I suspected a motive for Assange for coming to the Uk and it seems the bBC has no problem promoting his case as an human rights issue. I’m sure a request for asylum will be presented by Al Beeb as the right thing to do. What is very worrying is how the bBC downplays if not belittles the reason for this whole debarkle which  is after having unprotected sex with the 2 women concerned he refused to have an HIV test as requested by them, which is why both women went to the police.

By defending this shirt buttons (he doesn’t warrant been called a man) peccadilloes  the bBc has simply adopted another tenet of the religion of peace in its attitude towards womans rights.

Having heard the Swedish allegations from these stupid women I would say he has no charge to answer (as has been previously dismissed) apart from a couple of women scorned.

Be careful not to pull your back stretching by equating this to the Talibans treatment of women.  Only a radical feminist could even begin to think such drivel.

As the government monitors our communications routinely I expect to see what PUBLIC servants are hiding.  They work for us, remember the mantra nothing to hide nothing to fear.

Interesting viewpoint ATB. Sweden isn’t the Uk, but I’d say has a better record on treating people in the dock (on both sides of it) than the Uk. What the Uk does have is a law system that isn’t set in concrete. Which is why rich people (and terrorists) are able to run rings round our laws and which lets be honest here is why Assange is here, rather than elsewhere. Now to be honest I don’t ggive a shit about this tosser, but I do give a shit about how he allowed to play the victim card via the public news outlet in which berate another country. As for you coming out with:

Good shout, I suppose tomorrow you’ll be demanding that these women be stoned to death.

I read that he originally went to Sweden and set up his operations there because he calculated that he would be safer there than say, the UK or anywhere else, from extradition to the US. Then suddenly he is in the UK putting on the martyr act and accusing the Swedes of conspiracy, political motives and all sorts of chicanery in order to extradite him to the US at the behest of the CIA and God knows who else.
He could just have remained or gone back to Sweden to clear the matter up by having a test and straightening with the authorities but no, suddenly the Swedes, from being the most fair and just, are out to get him. And it’s all the fault of two pesky women and the legal authorities, who are of course both stupid and malevolent.  It’s not faaaaairrr! Mummy, Mummy…

Yes I will be demanding that they are stoned to death.

The levels of your delusion force me to retire from this discussion.

@ ATB >>As the government monitors our communications routinely I expect to see what PUBLIC servants are hiding<<

HMG doesn’t monitor my communications.  I’m not a terrorist.  Terrorists, on the other hand, are delighted by Assange leaking Government secrets.

They monitor EVERYTHING for keywords, so as such you are monitored.

Thanks for clearing up that you are not a terrorist, be sure for your mum to send a note to the people at ECHELON in North Yorkshire excusing your communications from analysis.
As for the terrorists being delighted, that’s just spin.  I have seen nothing in the leaks that would be useful to terrorists that isn’t already in the public domain.

A really interesting story over at wuwt about Assanges attempt to take credit for the Climatgate leaks. The man has clearly got issues, and the BBC ought not to be getting too close to him, but hey……………

Sublime piece by Mel, especially highlighting the hypocrisy of Pilger over leaks of Swedish police files when he is lauding Assange for leaking.
