I took part in Radio 4’s Sunday programme this morning. To say I was flabbergasted by the report on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 is an understatement.
Alas, whenever you believe that you have nailed British hypocrisy, the BBC comes along and proves that it is worse than you thought. If there were an award for intellectual cowardice, a gold medal for journalistic double standards, this morning’s effort by Radio 4 deserves it.
Nowhere in the BBC’s output is Left-liberal bias more thickly applied than on Radio 4’s Sunday programme. If you didn’t think you could actually hear a lip curl, try listening to any of its “reports” that involve Christian conservatives.
As I said just now, I’m glad to see that I wasn’t alone, and gratified that such distinguished others were flabbergasted by the same things.
But hey, at least I didn’t merely link to Nick Cohen as did Stephen Pollard himself, and Damian Thompson, because “he said it better that we could” like a couple of lazybones.

One thing that struck me was Damian Thompson’s: ” I am glad to say that in the studio discussion afterwards, Stephen Pollard exploded. “The idea that there is some kind of equivalence of extremism” between a Florida pastor with a tiny congregation and a global clerical fascist movement was “fantasy,” he boomed.”
He may well have boomed. (Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom. Baldrick c 1945)
But all the booming in the world couldn’t stop Ed Stourton interrupting and cutting him off mid boom.

I’m listening to the programme as I write. I share the comment of someone on Cohen’s blog, I dont think Pollard ‘exploded’, ‘incredulous but measured’ was more like it.
Stephen Pollard’s comments on the huge rise in anti-semitism on campuses due to radical Islam was certainly worth taking up. We know it wont be. It cries out to be, but the BBC will smother it with the fiction of ‘Islamophobia’. Thus Britain continues to sleep walk into moral oblivion, made somnolent by the traitors and appeasers at the BBC who make Chamberlain look warlike.

I heard all that, just another example of the BBC tipi toeing around a herd of elephants in the room.
Instead of acknowledging radical Islam’s existence, the BBC politely ignores what was in front of its nose and implies that to oppose radical Islam is to incubate a racist hated of all Muslims.
Stephen Pollard did not explode with indignation, although he had every right to. To equate Christian extremism to an American Pastor is beyond belief.
Pollard hit the nail on the head, he should, and could have gone further, that would however, have sent the BBC into apoplexy.
There is only one form of extreme religious extremism, and we all know what it is.
I was just reading Mark Steyn on Ayaan Hirsi Ali : “She long ago got used to the hectoring TV interviewer, from Avi Lewis on the CBC a while back to Tavis Smiley on PBS just the other day, insisting that say what you like about Islam but everyone knows that Christians are just as backward and violent, if not more so.“
If American evangelicals were funding radical churches across the globe, Christians had carried out 9/11 and were blowing up mosques at Eid or Ashura in Egypt and Nigeria, do you think we’d see this kind of equivalence ? It’d be ‘what’s wrong with Christianity?’.
Somehow, I think we’d see the likes of Obama champing at the bit to see as many Christians as possible interned in Guantanamo.

I don’t understand why people put up with the continual interuptions from beeboid mongs. You get it on Radio 5 from Dame Nikki, Vicki Pollard and king mong Richard Bacon.
I’d just talk over them, unless they turn you mic off there’s little they can do. Don’t answer their questions just say what you want to say.
They should also call out beeboids for being lefties, why no one ever hammers the likes of Richard Bacon or Naughtie for their blatent support of Nu Liebour amazes me.
It’s like Paxman or Emily Titless on Newsnight going on about MP expenses, sure MP’s were ripping us off, but so are beeboids I’d just put wankers like Paxman on the spot and demand to know how much he gets paid.
Far too much respect is given to beeboids who don’t deserve it.
