    Hoorah, that R5 live “business expert” And(y)rew Verity (sure he’d love to be Pancho Villa to Paul Mason’s Don Quixote – “Venceremos!!”)  is back on air with a Panorama prog on incomes failing to maintain their real terms value. A reasonable subject, but could it be prompted by the opportunity to use the Millipede phrase “the squeezed middle”? Good old Andy got that in early when guesting to trail the Panorama on his old “show” “Wake up to money” on R5 this morning.

      Yes BBC discovers that incomes fall in a recession shock!

      As the FT points out I wonder how much has been wasted on this rubbish…. Next water is wet

    On the fivelive blog there is a post which proclaims this.

    “Last week in the Independent Jane Thynne wrote a thoughtful piece about BBC radio programmes that you can watch online”

    One of the comments enquires as to whether Jane Thynne works for the BBC  a point which is somehow missing from the post. The reply says.

    “Jane Thynne is a freelancer. She started her career at the BBC but has not been on staff for a long time. Jane occasionally contributes to Radio 4 programmes. There’s more info on her website.”

    So thats a yes then….
