I am sure that the Monty Python team would never get away with their “Bruces” sketch in this politically correct BBC era. I note that the BBC was trawling an item here which alleges that Aborigines in urban areas of Australia suffer worse health than those in remote areas. Phil Mercer reports from Sydney on the discrimination they often face at hospitals and clinics. It’s a no-win scenario for the Aussies – a bit like the Ashes!

Even worse, wasn’t this the sketch which included “No pooftahs ” ?

Yes. It was episode 22, part of the second series.
Happy days.

It’s the same with the Scots’ health figures, no? Is that racism?

David,
Yes, of course 😀

Taking all factors into consideration, I would expect urban-dwellers’ health to be worse than country-dwellers’ generally.
Did the study compare Abos with non-Abos ?
How about other countries ?

With a fearless Phil Mercer sketch like that, who says the BBC doesn’t do comedy anymore ?

How much does our Phil get paid for his occasional dreary reports from down under ?

Fine piece on All in the Mind tonight on Radio 4.
Some caricature of a Dutch professor tells the gullible Claudia Hammond that racism is linked to people not liking a mess around them.
So-if the Councils will only mop up a bit more, then racism can be washed away too.
Uni of Amsterdams Coffee Houses no doubt-but got her a free trip over to correlate tidiness to multiculturalism.
Those messy Nazis eh?
