Weekend 9th August 2025

Ok – so how did the BBC do this week ? A cooking programme put on despite the presenters having been found guilty of woke crimes and banished ; a BBC presenter charged with two cases of a rape – a Female senior figure under investigation for showing a junior member pictures of mens’ members ( identity unknown ) …not a bad week at all … I won’t mention a labour housing minister having to resign for unseemly conduct as a landlord … and the boats keep coming ….

Bearing in mind Parliament is in recess there seems to be a hell of politics, announcements and pronouncements happening. This time used to be called the ‘silly season’ when the media would struggle to find stories to fill their pages and airtime.
Smarmer, Reeves and co are making full use of the lack of scrutiny, Smarm, notably, is backing a Palestinian State whatever that may be, taxation, he also does pathetically bad deals over the illegal immigrants that can’t withstand the slightest scrutiny. The result is that whatever examination there is of all this nonsense is spread all over the internet, TV, radio etc and lacks the focus of being in Parliament. The BBC finds nothing to say about it of course.

On GBNews a leftie guest was disputing the sex crime statistics saying they were flawed. His argument was that the high numbers are misleading because some of the offenders were charged with several crimes. What he was basically saying was that serial offenders are OK and don’t count.

Immigrant sex crimes are under reported anyway. What girl, woman or family will want to say they’ve been raped by a Pakistani.

The Mezquita cathedral in Cordoba has had a serious fire. Apparently it was an automatic cleaning machine that caused it. The building used to be a mosque under the Moors and then became a church.

Trouble is I now never believe anything the MSM reports. OK, I believe there has been a fire. But the cause of it? That is when I begin to wonder?

So how does the BBC be a Green organisation ?

It has trees chopped down to make paper for its threatograms .

Its “enforcement officers ” aka “enquiry agents ” if you are in dispute with them ( or goons ) do not operate in the areas where they live . Thus they use a car . Not bus , train , bicycle , hot air balloon or walking — a car ..
Why aren`t their Enforcement Officers working within their local community ? I thought after globalism the BBC hated patriotism but loved localism .

Yesterday the US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released another series of documents which clearly point to Obama as the puppet master of the Russia hoax designed to cripple President Trump’s first term.
There was a half hour press conference in the White House where she pulled no punches in accusing Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other top Obama people of committing treason and made it very clear that the documents proved her accusation.
You would think that such dramatic events would make the news in the UK. You would be wrong. The Daily Telegraph and the BBC web site ignore it, no mention. The Spectator does have a piece which spends more time speculating about Trump’s lust for revenge than about the contempt shown by Clinton and Obama for democracy and the American people.
Within a few months or so these household names in America , once all powerful , are very likely to be on trial for treason. You would think that this was news worthy but not to the BBC and the DT.

Should Mr AsI tell him, or will you? We’ll leave it to an American to explain the dire state of British international standing: US diplomat says UK would have lost WW2 with Starmer as leader (BBC)

As of January 1, 2025, the British Army’s full-time trained strength was 71,151 personnel… The total number of paid police workers (officers, staff, designated officers, and PCSOs) in England and Wales was 236,655 on September 30, 2024 – Thank you AI – and that tends to tell us where the UK government thinks the actual threats lie – far closer to home.

Russia grinds forward in the east – observes our BBC, grudgingly. The maps reveal Pokrovsk, Konstyantynivka and Kupyansk to be outflanked and precariously poised to fall to the Russians. No amount of pompous gung-ho armchair generalship – or indeed trendy cafés boldly still flying the now somewhat faded and tattered old yellow n blue – is going to change the facts on the ground. Mr AsI in London spots the odd balcony and apartment window flying the twin Ukraine and Palestine banners – how to pick a loser, eh?

Sturgeon addresses rumours of affairs with women… ‘I have never considered sexuality, my own included, to be binary’ (Telegraph) – you think you’re a bit confused, luv? I’m completely bemused – The Daily Star features the late lamented mustachioed wife beater vest-wearing singer with the rock band Queen: Freddy’s girl talks

    Talking of queens…

Royal exclusive… Camilla and the Tory donor’s yacht… Queen’s free summer getaway on Saudi tycoon’s £30m pleasure boat – the in-the-tank-for-Labour Daily Mirror there, evidently more put out by the fact that Wafiq Said is a Tory than he happens to be a foreigner and an arab buying influence over our royals.

    Speaking of boats… small ones…

The Daily Star attempts to ridicule Rupert Lowe MP for mistaking a charity rowing boat off the coast of Great Yarmouth for yet another migrant dinghy. This is pure regime sponsored cope. Times Radio – I think it was (or some other broadsheet journos gone a podcasting) were scoffing “We’re enjoying this Rupert Lowe story”

In crime news: All kids must be safe in school! …family call for knife arches after 15-year-old found guilty of his lunch break murder (Daily Express) – one tends to be very wary of what measures victims’ families are reported to be “calling for”. Surely the responsibilty for thinking up and enacting daft new laws still resides with our elected politicians?

Of course, it’s hard to design a policy to remedy a problem when not all the fact are made public – and this 15-year-old killer benefits from legal anonymity. And just think, he’d have been eligible to vote in another 12 months.

The Mirror may not have him down as the now proverbial Welsh Choir Boy, however: Lad, 15, guilty

We’ve heard of the Uniparty, now there’s the Omni-cause: Eco-mob to join Gaza protests… Now Just Stop Oil links up with banned Palestine Action (Daily Mail)

So you support Iran’s proxy terror group – but you’d ban the mainstay of their economy, oil?

The BBC website is carrying an article titled ‘People are angry: Behind the wave of asylum hotel protests’. It’s one of those typical BBC pieces with contrived balance and objectivity, whilst nevertheless giving a dog-whistle of disapproval. There are the usual inaccuracies, the slight-of-hand techniques. For instance, it states that ‘The police have largely kept control, sometimes facing criticism for their methods, including the false claim that Essex Police used buses to transport pro-migrant activists to a protest in Epping.’. But has been no claim that the Essex Police used buses, rather it is that they bussed in the troublemakers using police vehicles, for which video evidence exists. Even the BBC’s own link item does not make the actual bus claim.

For the emotional, empathy part, we are introduced to a resident of the notorious Bell hotel in Epping, a chap called Wael from Libya. There is no reason to doubt the sincerity of this young man, and Libya is not a pleasant place, made worse by the West’s interference in that country (here’s looking at you, Hillary Clinton). But look at his words as reported/created by the BBC “I want to learn English and work. In a car wash or something.” Well, kudos to him, but in what way does Britain need more car washers? Are cash-in-hand car washers really the answer to fixing the £20 billion/£50 billion black hole in Britiain’s finances or fixing the NHS. Get real BBC.

Racism: such an ugly word, and constantly used by the BBC to cow and silence those they disagree with on a host of issues, most notably illegal immigration (aka invasion).

So how about we call it “preferring to live among one’s own kind”, which is what every society in the history of the world has done.

The Beauties are still at it.

Zurcher couldn’t hide his disdain and contempt for Trump this morning and did all he could to shape his reporting in a way that tried to portray Trump in a bad light sneering openly at Trump’s assertion that he could end the Ukraine war in one day….apparently next weeks negotiation will be a show trial for Trump and expose the promises he made last year as hollow…just letting in a little bit of animosity and personal comment there….but it’s standard stuff from Zurcher.

Then there’s the BBC’s ‘Man in Moscow’ or is it Putin’s ‘Man in Moscow’ Steve Rosenberg who, like Zurcher, gabbles on furiously trying to damn Trump….each time reading out scathing criticisms from Russian media….as planted there of course by the Kremlin…thus Rosenberg is literally pumping out Putin’s propaganda.

Rosenberg did wonder why Putin let him stay in Moscow…

‘The BBC’s Russia editor has been able to live and work in Moscow and report on events since the invasion of Ukraine.
Rosenberg speculated that the Kremlin sees allowing his, and the BBC’s, continued freedom is their way of indicating their indifference.’

Some might think, judging by his reporting, that Putin is more than happy to have a ‘respected’ BBC journo on his team attacking his enemies….ie Trump.

Not of course a new thing as the BBC was essentially working in collaboration with Putin as they spent years trying to fabricate a narrative that Trump was a Russian agent and Putin was trying to get ‘his man in Washington’ elected…never mind the BBC admitted the information in the dodgy dossier came directly from, er, Russian intellgence agents…and that the ‘kompromat’ was pretty sordid stuff that the Russians were saying meant Trump was in their pocket and thus a Russian agent…..how was that helping Trump get elected by saying he was a Putin puppet? The logic fails me but the BBC was and is desperate to discredit Trump by any means. Rosenberg is just the latest example of that.

The Russians must ahve been delighted at the total chaos, division, instability and distrust the Democrat’s and their media allies attack caused to America and thus the West. The BBC was a major part of that.

These incidents are recorded to monitor community tensions and potential future criminal behavior, but they are not considered criminal offenses themselves.

Has anyone else noticed how FarLeft activist demos masquerade as something that sounds quite innocent?
For example the ‘Stop the War’ coalition might sound reasonable until you figure out what the are campaigning about and who they count among their supporters.

Well, in the news today, I read the Plod have made arrests on a demo demanding the acceptance of Palestine Action as legitimate.

The demo was apparently organised by the reasonable sounding ‘Defend Our Juries’. Only when you look at their website (yes, they have one – though since when it is not known) that they demand that juries should acquit not on the basis of evidence but conscience. And the head story is about Palestine Action.

So it seems to me this is another example of highly organised Far Left and why the useless Tories have failed on the job.

There’s somthing about the Observer, the Sunday iteration of the Guardian, that somehow chimes with our BBC, and causes it to come out on top of the press pile over there at the BBC online news page again.

Perhaps it is the somewhat arty, conceptual, nature of their typical frontpage layout? Surely it isn’t the Observer’s leftist politics – afterall our BBC purports to be politically neutral.

Famously, at the opening of George Orwell’s cautionary novel about a future distorted and totalitarian state Britain, 1984: “It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen”

This Alice Through The Looking Glass sense of dissonance increasingly pervades the news cycle.

Similarly, in Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s sci-fi puppetry, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, we find the unsettling notion of the nation’s most famous clock striking thirteen to have been featured in the episode: “Big Ben Strikes Again”

And to our BBC’s favourite Sunday pictorial newspaper frontpage where we observe photojournalism presenting to us a backdrop of Westminster’s iconic clock tower together with a foreground sea of white middle-class trendy-looking Palestine Action supporters – immitating Mahatma Gandhi (I guess) awaiting their arrest in a sitdown protest.

The sound of silence – is the Observer’s vaguely poetic caption (not a headline since news ought really to convey information not feelings)

The implication, no doubt resonating with the no doubt more than several presently long vacationing academics and their impressionable young students among the protesters and their Observer reading supporters, is that Big Ben ought perhaps to fall silent in shame?

The BBC liked that and cropped and cut and pasted the phrase into their summary header for their news review of the day: ‘Sound of silence’ and ‘Frantic Europe pushes new Ukraine plan’ (BBC)

So do wish the guns would fall silent or do we not? Depends on which bloody battlefront we’re talking about.

The sound of silence to your Mr AsI provokes more the memory of his old mum’s copy of Simon & Garfunkel’s LP.

There’s hard news reporting at last in the Observer’s explantory sub-header: More than 400 arrested at a peaceful protest in support of Palestine Action

Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph each feature frontpage pics of batty old grannies in the process of being lifted by burly coppers. Where’s one of them when you need one? A burly copper I mean.

The Times’s old dear (“La Pethick, 89, from east Sussex”) sporting a rather varicose-looking pair of shins, I like to term “fireside tartan”

The Telegraph rather spoils the mood of kumbaya earnestness by revealing the fact: Protesters including former Guantanamo detainee will face terror charges after Westminster rally… Moazzam Begg… one protester could be heard shouting “Pigs! get your hands off Moazzam! get your hands of Moazzam you f-ing pigs!”

Gives ’em all something to do during the long hols and in their retirement, I suppose.

And, as our corporate advertisement sensitive BBC used to put it: “Other protests taking place this weekend are available”

Student life ain’t what it used to be: Students choose home over digs… unable to afford to rent… The trend for stay-at-home students rose sharply after the financial crash of 2008 and has jumped again since the Covid pandemic (Sunday Times) – nothing to do with the Blair/Boris hyper-immigration housing crisis then?

I’ll do the quick editorial correction – you’d be disappointed if I didn’t: has jumped again since the Covid pandemic Lockdown panic – which was a policy choice

Well, I guess many students can now spend a little more time away from home – locked up in a jail cell on terror charges, next door to their professors.

My fav headline of the day is the concise although not precise by later accounts: 365 nicked in terror protest (Sun)

Next best: Sue Dares Wins (Star on Sunday) Military chiefs say 20 GI Janes earning their the SAS’s winged dagger badge will boost troops… It’s the Special Her Service

Nearly two million over 50s claiming jobless benefits (Telegraph)

Mr AsI contends that Lockdowns demoralised the British workforce.

…amid a growing “sick note” culture a study has found… 1.99m, from 1.4m just before the Covid lockdown in March 2020 (Telegraph) – told you so.

Just a tiny editorial correction required there – I simply need to swap the capitalisation and to reflect the government policy choice: 1.99m, from 1.4m just before the covid Lockdown in March 2020 – which was a policy choice

From the sound of silence to the pregnant pause…

Preggers plays pop in the popular papers: Emmerdale star reveals her joy at pregnancy (Sunday Mirror); Phoebe’s looking swell in her dungarees… Picture exclusive (The Mail on Sunday)

Blimey, even the gays might be at it: I’d be stunned if Freddie Mercury has a secret child, says former girlfriend (Sunday Times)

And finally, it’s Premier League football wallchart weekend – so at last we can all forget that soppy wimmin’s game.

For months he had worried that his mother would be “deported” after ministers – Theresa May, Philip Hammond, Amber Rudd, Brandon Lewis – said that EU citizens could be made to leave. The Brexit decision fundamentally changed our outlook on Britain as an open, welcoming society. It changed our sense of belonging. Trust, that invisible bond that links us to other people, had been broken.

Consider how the Nazis took power….economic downturn, politicians and others in positions of power and influence decide the Nazis are the solution or are so unstoppable they better get on side, the Nazis themselves with an ideology that was almost religious in which the leader, Hitler, was literally worshipped and which used propaganda, street thugs, the threat of violence and essentially blackmail to take power.

The German people were sold out by the Establishment.

      From the Mirror newspaper….

‘WE MUST NOT GIVE IN TO MUSLIM BLACKMAIL’

‘AS the country vexes itself over how to deal with the radicalisation of British-born Muslim youths, it’s revealing to know some of their leaders believe they have the answer.

The introduction of Sharia Law in Britain along with important religious days in the Muslim calendar becoming public holidays for followers of the faith should do the trick, or so claims the secretary general of the Union of Muslim Organisations in the UK and Ireland.

As Dr Syed Aziz Pasha says: “If you give us religious rights we will be in a better position to convince young people that they are being treated equally along with other citizens.”

This sounds perilously close to blackmail. Thus far the British people have shown exemplary tolerance in the face of terrorist threats.

Some people, John Reid reminded us last week “just don’t get” the seriousness of the threat facing the West.

What will it take to understand? Ten planes destroyed and thousands of innocents dead while the family of the perpetrators weep into the cameras and say, “he wouldn’t do a thing like that”.

Oh yes he would. And believe me, he will. ‘

What if doing your chores were as easy as flipping a switch? In this talk and live demo, roboticist and founder of 1X Bernt Børnich introduces NEO, a humanoid robot designed to help you out around the house. Watch as NEO shows off its ability to vacuum, water plants and keep you company, while Børnich tells the story of its development — and shares a vision for robot helpers that could free up your time to focus on what truly matters.
