THEY LOVE DEATH LIKE WE LOVE LIFE

I’m not talking Jihadists but rather the BBC. Interesting interview here with Baroness Finlay of Llandaff. Along with some other peers, she has stated in a letter to The Times that the BBC is “running an orchestrated campaign” to change the law on euthanasia. Justin Webb sounds decidedly hostile to the contention put forward by the Baroness and after contradicting her position himself, he then plays back comments from another BBC spokesperson on the subject. The truth of the matter is that the BBC is very much on-board with the assisted suicide narrative and it gets annoyed when those such as Baroness Finlay and her colleagues simply point out their bias!

It’s pretty obvious that the BBC want assisted suicide to legal as they rarely put the other side of the argument, if they have smeone opposed to it get a Christian, the shriller the better. The usual story.

But where is the gain for the BBC/left?  Who do they want to ‘assist’ to die?

I really don’t understand this one.

I would say that few other left-wing/BBC causes are defended with more dishonesty and more robustness than euthanasia and abortion.

Leaving aside all of other left-wing causes dear to BBC hearts – undermining national security, aiding terrorists, oppressing and taxing the middle class, freeing violent criminals – I would say one of the most important item on the BBC’s agenda is euthanasia.

But like all lefties, the BBC don’t handle contradictions very well.  Perhaps they could have invited a Muslim spokesman on board.  Muslims strongly oppose any measure to hasten death, including:

    – The Mental Capacity Act (which allows the withdrawal of food, fluid and reasonable medical treatment from a person who is not in the process of dying, in order to bring about their death).

    – Any attempt to re-introduce Lord Joffe’s Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill.

    – Any future attempt to legalise assisted suicide or euthanasia.

I only came to this late-I like to check on Brian Matthew on a Saturday, and know that the marvellous Danny Baker is on the mend now!

Isn`t it funny that the BBC often fail to find ” a spokesman” to answer even the gentlest of lobs and pat-a-cake with Justin etc?Why so scared…it`s not as if they have to leave the building so no interns need hold the golf brolley need they?

After all, they pay their nibbly fish well to splash gaily in the shallows, so no-one will find themselves in deep water will they? Mere quibbles about whether those jacuzzi bubbles are man -made or not…should not be a problem to get a linen suit/cropped dye type from the thought pods on the floor above should it? Yet come anything ever so slightly “controversial”…straight behind the sandbags(Toksvig,Brand.J and Mardell on rota today I`d guess)

So “no BBC spokesman(PERSON mate!)”was “available” to bite his own leg and sniff her own nether bits in contrast to this lady who is onto something . Tasteless in the extreme this Saturday morning, so let Justin grow into his fathers son. He will get it right one day by the law of averages surely?

Maybe they remember Jay Hunt/Caroline Thomsons quite marvellous appearances on their own flagship- scuppering themselves with every vacuous platitude! Don`t these big wigs ever GO to media training-like woodlice racing out from under a stone they were!

It was therefore left for little Justin to be is own spokesman-and very revealing it was. Basically it is “new”, “radical”, “controversial”. It is “what we creatives do” and is seen as a good thing by the liberati…so it is bound to get prominence over such fusty notions as love, gentleness, care, duty, sanctity, faith and honour with dignty. What`s your problem Lady? Where you been…and where`s your head at `ho?

Best bit was her quote from the Radio Times that she gave-as the luvvies wonder on how best to create a prospective cocktail for Terry Pratchett should he come to his last soiree at one of their homes, I imagine that there will be no shortage of BBC spokespeople hoping to be Dimbleby Snr into their delighfully appointed death camp of choice for that exclusive first and only night!

Only one true fearless dragon of Wales in that studio today, and it wasn`t John. Never is these days.Poor Humphrys is only the cigarette lighter in the Byfords Daimler these days…those electric cars won`t be needing his like ,will they folks?
And it`s not as if he can safely scoot over to Greece either…Paul Mason says that the Western Media aren`t getting complimentary olives by Syntagma at the minute!
    What a to-do!

Perhaps if the current crop of humourless left-wing parasites at the BBC watch these two Youtube clips, their sense of guilt at working for a corporation that once broadcast such content will be unbearable and they’ll commit mass-suicide.

First and foremost the BBC can never admit that they have an agenda on anything. That would start the whole structure crashing down – suicide indeed.

They are clearly keen on assisted suicide. I agree that in part this is because it ticks boxes as a trendy celeb human rights-type issue.

I could well imagine them as good statists welcoming some kind of Logan’s Run law – so long as it came from the UN EU Greens or Labour (and there were some exemptions for luvvie elitists).

I’ve said it before but I think they like this debate because they look to set up some miss-matched Christian in the blue corner for a ritual duffing up.

This is what the BBC has done time and time again over many years with so many issues: abortion, feminism, homosexuality, immigration, climate change etc, etc: they’ve either ignored the case against what starts out as a minority view, or put up weak and outnumbered advocates to oppose the liberal case.  They talk about balance over a period of time, but the period of time never happens.  They have played a large part in bringing about the post-1960s social devastation we see all around.

At least the baroness was allowed her minute in the sun.  I happen to believe in my right – everybody’s right – to commit suicide and to allow those who assist to be exempt from any legal consequences from our rulers.  Nevertheless, there is a genuine debate to be had on this and I can understand and appreciate why many are opposed.

That said, the baroness is, of course, correct.  The BBC has made up its (corporate) mind on this and most of the comment/news “across the BBC” is pro-abortion. pro euthanasia etc. and Webb’s aggressive questioning was only to be expected.  Remember though, this interview was conducted at around 8:45, the Today dead zone even on a Saturday.  Accordingly, this feather of an item goes into the BBC “impartiality” scale at a generous weight.

Maybe we should reserve our ammunition to ask why the main item of “news” this morning was that one of the new generation of neanderthal trade union leaders stated his opinion that public sector parasites are going to create mayhem if they have to work a little longer (not harder I suspect) to get a still over-generous pension which is impossible to buy in the real world.  This is merely a tactical sound-bite by Prentis and has no more (and no less) news importance than a press release by Friends of the Earth – another lobbying group dedicated to the destruction of this country’s economy.
