BBC coverage of Islam is done with such sensitivity, such consideration, one could almost be forgiven for thinking that the BBC is horrifically dhimmified. A Biased BBC reader notes;

Not only do I agree that the BBC is Dhimmified but I think the process should be reversed so that Christian values are epoused constantly and consistantly. I have no time for the ‘secular’ viewpoint as this just creates the perfect vacuum for Islam to capitalise on especially when the secularists are belittling Christianity and other religions but bending over backwards for Islam. We desparately need to return to our Christian values as we are virtually morally bankrupt. Sayings like ‘spare the rod, spoil the child’ were lessons we have forgot or more likely been made to forget. I could go on but I think you might get what I mean.
Politically, Islam Not BBC (INBBC) has decided that in its utopian aim to build some sort of ‘ socialist-Islamic republic’ in Britain, that Islam must continue to be treated preferentially.
So we get INBBC undertaking such pro-Islam activities as:
1.) appointment of Muslim head of religious programmes, Aaquil Ahmed;
2.) connected to 1.) above, the commissioning of Islamic broadcaster, Al Jazeera’s Somali Muslim, Rageh Omaar, to present INBBC TV series on e.g. Islam in Europe, and Mohammad; in contrast, Christianity is relegated, and unlike Islam, treated critically, often very critically by INBBC.
3.) censorship of global Islamic jihad activities of Muslim groups, so that one gets little impression of e.g., the world-wide scale of the Islamic jihad massacres, as indicated at ‘Religion of Peace’ site, as illustrated on its home page of contents:

4.) the uncritical view (as with Obama/Clinton) of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), on which INBBC is inclined to delegate opinion to the likes of descendent of MB founder, Tariq Ramadan.

INBBC is inclined to adopt a politically benign attitude towards e.g. Hizb ut-Tahrir which has a commitment to impose a global Caliphate based on Sharia law, achieved via jihad; but in contrast, INBBC is totally hostile towards the anti-Islam English Defence League Along with its Islamic and trade union allies, INBBC wants to ban the EDL.
5.) With exception of its Muslim staff brought up as uncritical believers and advocates of Islam, few other Beeboids appear to know or care about the tenets of Islam, and how many of these tenets are a direct physical threat to non-Muslims and to ‘deviant’ Muslims.
INBBC staff need to educate themselves about Islam, and NOT to delegate any such educational process to Islamic interests.
In practice, INBBC delegate all comments on Islam to Muslims in its organisation, and to the many other INBBC Muslim commenters.
6.) INBBC is frightened of Islam. This shows in all sorts of ways, not least over the Danish cartoons.
7.) INBBC was politically instrumental in supporting the Labour government’s open-door ‘policy’ on mass immigration of (largely) people from Islamic countries and areas of the world. And INBBC is in denial about subsequent negative effects on British people, and censors reporting of such effects.
8.) In practice, INBBC self-censors on Islam. Its very vocabulary reflects this – routinely avoiding words such as ‘jihad’, ‘sharia’, caliphate’.
9.) INBBC’s anti-Israel political stance is driven by Islamic interests and propaganda, so that INBBC is a politically comfortable ally to Hamas, Fatah and Hezbollah.

There is no hint by INBBC that the tax transfer from British people to Somali Al-Shabab (‘foreign aid’!) won’t finance the usual Islamic jihad murder and persecution.

…Unfortunately not a very deep one, as he speaks against a Mr R.Spencer, who has a “blink & you ll miss appearance”, on Beebo s nauseating Moh doc.
As i ve mentioned before, he,(Spencer) is used as a rouse, to feign some kind of “balance”.
If this kid had,”thought” at all, he may have wondered why Mr Spencer has virtually wiped the floor, with every Muslim scholar, in debate for as long back as i can remember.
But thats not the point, how did he get on, we all know how Beebo vets the hell out of everything, he contributed nothing about the rights/wrongs of images of Moh, or the Moh doc?, just droning tolerance

It’s a shame that the BBC has had such a tragic intellectual failure regarding Islam that they actually end of encouraging the opposite reaction from their audience than they claim they intended.
We were once soundly chastised by a BBC producer using the alias “John Reith”. He told us that the BBC was desperately trying to work for Social Cohesion and create harmony between Muslims and non-Muslims, and said, “You’re not helping”. We always asked why the BBC never reached across the aisle from the other direction, and instead of “Don’t Panic, I’m Islamic”, they should try to encourage Muslims to leave the jihad behind.
On further reflection, I’d like to retract the last sentence in my comment above. Using the word “jihad” was a poor choice, and doesn’t really get across what I mean. Instead, I should have said that the BBC ought to encourage Muslims to abandon the “we don’t need to join your society and any criticism is hatred” mindset.
A BBC programme about Muslims reaching across the aisle instead of doing things like “White Girl” would do wonders. They don’t do it out of fear of criticism from Mohammedan circles that they’re encouraging apostasy. and because they mostly likely don’t understand that the problem isn’t all the fault of the EDL and people like the inhabitants of this blog.
The left’s affection for Islam is inexplicable in rational terms so it is best to treat it as such and not waste any more time on it.
The best anyone seems to come up with is that the left sees an ally in it’s guilt laden attack on Western culture and it’s refusal to admit any enduring standards of public and private morality long sanctioned by custom and tradition.
I have long thought that the conservative with a small c Englishman has more in common with some of the tenets of Islam than any liberal.
That said a true conservative would make it clear that there could never be any accomodation with Sharia of any sympathy with Jihad, that in England the old ways rule without any qualification.
Conversely the liberal interventions(wars) in Moslem lands can be no part of a conservative viewpoint. In their lands their way . In our lands our way even if it eventually means a form of separate living in the world we all share. How we treat each other’s minorities is a test of us and our cultures but the West must be as implacable in defense of it’s way as Islamic lands now are.
This viewpoint is anathema to the liberal mind but it is rooted in reality.
When Communism fell, the left had no other “champion” of anti-western, anti capitalist rhetoric to back any longer.
The search began for the next crusade against the West and the USA that led it.
Palestine took the prize-victim status, pictures of refugees, you get your oil still-and you shaft the only western ally in the region that is capitalist, democratic…that it is full of Jews being a bonus too!
So it is now that we have the West denounced at all times, 9/11 seen as “natural revenge” and Islam has that frisson of beheadings, burnings and may well do what Moscow couldn`t! The BBC/Guardain wet dream.
Of course it won`t-but the media and the left liberal elite will get plenty pictures and Question Times out of the personal tragedies and traumas whilst we`re finding out!
