I listened to this interview with Terry Smith on Today this morning and chuckled all the way through it. His analysis is spot on, I agree with every word. There was a stunned silence when he politely explained to the BBC interviewer that the so-called Public Sector cuts have not impacted to any significant degree, yet. He excoriated the Eurozone folly that Merkel and Sarkozy are seeking to pull. Make sure you listen – I am sure this was NOT what the BBC were looking for!!

I suspect there must be a UKuncut activist out there called Terry Smith and that was who they thought they were getting and the mistake was only realised as he was being introduced.

I’m amazed Today had him on again but, as 1327 implies, it was probably a mix-up on the BBC speed-dial. Why isn’t this guy on more often? No, don’t answer that: we know why.
I dont think his media section is up to date. If you check out his archive he was interviewed / featured on BBC’s TODAY in April as well.
I suspect that the BBC’s finest will be wondering which Terry Smith they have on their speed-dial.

The problem with the latter is the delusion the BBC and it’s £100k+army of spokespersons really speak for anyone other than themselves.

That’s given me an idea – in order to solve the BBC pension shortfall, maybe beeboids should be allocated the income from their own personal wind turbine.

Terry Smith is a megastar in the City. Not one of the biggest earners but he always tells it like it is. He wrote a classic book “Accounting for Growth” 20 years ago about the wide use of accounting scams by listed companies and got fired for his trouble. Legend.
Terry Smith was correctly identified at the outset by his company name. UK Uncut are a bunch of ex-public school and uni faux-class warriors under age 25 whose grip on the real world is decidedly tenuous (Murdoch being “greedy” rather than “successful” says it all. Economics, fail)
Smith says we are all going to be much poorer in future than we expect to be, and it will be worse than it need be, because our politicians are living in fantasy land. Sucker-punch.
Without needing to labour it, he implied the BBC and MSM have been lying to us all along, or are too economically illiterate to tell us the truth.
I almost felt sorry for the Beeboid £90k+ poppet trying to hold her own, but I thought, nah, not sorry at all. Slap her again Terry, she deserves it.

Was on holiday when this was first run, so a sheer joy to find it, what with the new layout of Biased BBC!
Brilliant-a masterclass in BBC pretentions and presumptions when it meets someone who actually produces wealth( as opposed to pissing it up our walls and flicking V-signs at us!).
Will have to study this as the showcase of when the liberal elite meet reality…lost for words, spluttering , inept, vacant, vacuous, incomprehending…and in need for that Ayurvedic head massage at nannys!
