Has anyone watched the bbc2 Thriller ‘Page 8’. I’m watching it at the moment and the main thing that hits one in the face is that it included pro-muslim and anti-Israel sentiments. It seems that there is nothing on the bbc that can be regarded as innocent entertainment.

I read the preview in the Telegraph TV section yesterday, which happily includes this wee hin.

“…..an activist fighting for justice for her brother’s murder at the hands of the Israeli army”

(Bearing in mind that DT television bods include tailor-made-for-the-BBC Simon Horsford, I’m pretty sure that the DT reviewer didn’t intend that the above should put me off the programme).

Whilst I’m about it, tomorrow night on BBC One we have “The Field Of Blood”, which I might risk. However, this doesn’t fill me with optimism:

“Meehan stoically takes this on the chin and carries on working on a murder case until she makes a chilling discovery that threatens to drive a wedge between her and her staunchly Catholic family.”

Why does nobody in drama ever make chilling discoveries that drive wedges between them and their staunchly left-wing families ?

John, whenever the name David Hare appears, you know what sort of leftist, rich trendy, ticking-the-boxes drama you’re going to get. As they say in my local bookies at the start of a greyhound race, ‘ Hare running, Frankfurt! (school).

  2. As I See It says:

The BBC have come to the Dragons’ Den looking for a public investment of 3.4 billion and offering a 100% share of their brand of pro-Labour, welfare multiculturalism, global warming, left-liberal, anti-Israel….

And you think this is a realistic proposition?

If your product is as good as you say it is then why won’t people buy it voluntarily….as a subscription for example?

After a confident start the BBC seem to have upset the Dragons.

Are you sure there is no one in the market saying the same things as you are? The Guardian?

Let’s look at the numbers….what are you paying yourselves? How much are what you call the ‘talent’ taking out of our funds? Why are your expenses so high?

The BBC are stumbling over the figures – that is just the sort of carelessness that will alienate the Dragons.

How about you control the costs and we take the things we like….the arts, the drama, the music, the sport….you have to sort out the science because that’s a mess….and the news….what can we do about that? How about you just give the news as it is without all the comment?

The Dragons are throwing the BBC a lifeline.

So wait a minute….you say you don’t believe in capitalism? This just isn’t a business proposition. And for that reason, I’m out!

You got to love the BBC. Now after ignoring Sky’s report about the murder of the men on the farm in Libya, the BBC now tell us that indeed it did happen and the vile Orla Guerin is there to tell us.

What a bunch of useless effing wankers the BBC are.

I couldn’t believe the report – 24 hours later than Sky, clearly the BBC and the majesterial Simpson didn’t feel that any credit was due to the Sky Journalists who were actually reporting from the sharp end, not pontificating and lecuturing us from some hotel 200 miles behind the front.  Simpson should realise that opinion is cheap – I have several, Martin quite a few (!), but facts are valuable and the basis of opinion, noy [BBC] dogma.

Great news the BBC tells me that “Carnivaaal” has been largely peaceful and trouble free.  Anything to do with the cold and the rain and the 6,500 police?

Just notices a hatchet job on ‘free schools’.  The BBc really are smug useless bigoted bastards

  4. Martin says:

Oh and now we’ve got the walking burkha….sorry fat ego, with up the duff pock face Silverton asking Simpson to once again give us HIS opinion.

Why does the BBC do this? We don’t care what some fat old lefty thinks, we want facts. For 24 hours the BBC ignored the massacre of the 50 men on that farm, now the BBC decide it did happen even when Sky were filming it.

The BBC “We’re really shit at what we do”

Martin, couldn’t agree more.  Simpson is completely useless, but I disagree the BBC are really good at what they do – cultural engineering with every spoonful of East enders, Holby etc.  Every phone in, every chance to re design society (CBBC, get em young eh…)

      Don’t fancy her then, Martin ?  πŸ˜€

(I swear she’s been preggers for longer than nine months. What the heck IS she going to give birth to ?)

“Scotland Yard said there had been 33 arrests at the carnival, with 11 drugs-related, five for theft, four for public order offences, two for criminal damage, six for assault, one for offensive weapons, one for robbery, one on a warrant and two for burglary.”

Trouble free eh BBC, that is clearly relative.  Relatively peaceful compared with, for example, the sack of Rome  by the mass migration of Visigoths in 410AD perhaps

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migration_period

Or just compared with the usual mayhem?  Sounds pretty seriou to me>  How many arrests were there for assault at the BBC fav Glasto this year?

    • Buggy says:

Actually the Visigoths have given a bad press by history. In reality the Romans invited them along to drive whatever the classical equivalent of buses were. The Goths duly arrived on the “S.S. Roman Empire VisRush” to provide much needed vibrant diversity to the dull society the pasty locals had created.

INBBC TV has just screened a play, ‘Page 8’, a contrived piece of anti-Israel and anti-USA political propaganda by ‘leftist’ writer, Mr Hare.

Here we have some degenerate leftists urging some more degenerate leftists at the BBC to pimp a leftist paper that has a smaller circulation than the BNP newspaper. And do you think the BBC will be having a copy handy for the papers review?

Put up job? The BBC asks some of its regular rent a gob comrades to agitate itself so it can pimp a failing leftist rag that needs some of that BBC billion pound fairy dust, the BBC equivolent of advertising.

If theres ever a leftist that needs help, the BBC is there, if theres a leftist narrative that needs a boost, the BBC is there. Always ready to help another leftist. I am surprisedthat the BBC didnt spend a few hundred thousand on a rigged poll to show the public just how loved and cherished the Morning Star is.
