You will recall we posted this a few days back concerning alleged BBC “comedian” Anthony Richardson and his not so hilarious antics. Max Farquar had also done some great work on the same subject which has resulted in this apology. Draw your own conclusions.
A BBC COMIC APOLOGISES

“I was ashamed of what I said as soon as I said it” Of course you were, that’s why you posted it on Youtube when you got home!
I’ve written to the BBC encouraging them to never employ this hate-filled piece of misogynistic filth ever again, and I’d recommend anyone else who was disgusted by this video to do the same.

Excellent work there by Max F. To be completely honest, I bought the apology entirely until I read Dazed & Confused’s comment asking why the funny boy posted the video at all if. as he claims, he immediately regretted what he said as soon as he said it. Now my opinion is back to what it was originally.

I had to wonder at the phrase ‘I can categorically state that I am not part of any political party or particular leaning….’
I would have thought that his political leaning was so blindingly obvious that he might as well have made it his excuse.
Something along the lines of ‘I was so caught up in the anti-racist fervour of the moment that I lost all sense of proportion’.
Oh wait a minute, this is a wouldbe/fledgling Beeboid so he must always be seen to be unbiased in his jeans (sic).

I think he would have been caught up in the racist fervour of the moment to be honest!

“We know we come across as complete idiots and never did it cross our minds that we would cause so much offence”- Anthony Richardson.

Punchline: “That’s Andy Gray in your fanny. Andy Gray in your minge”
Ho hum.

I’m sure he was actually caught up in the RACIST fervour of the moment, to be honest.
The sight of a ‘piece of white working-class scum’ being kicked senseless by a mob of Muslim savages quite obviously had him jizzing in his pants.

I buy the apology _ I do think he realises how terrible this makes him look and has engaged on damage limitation. I also think he genuinely believes that he ha no leaning. to quote from the panel opp…
“It’s not a conspiracy. It’s visceral. They think they are on the middle ground”
I guess that he really believes that the left – and the hard left – are the true voice of moderation and consequently that you are not displaying political opinion or leaning if you support hard left/anti-racist/eco-loon/anti-road/animal-rights type causes. And if people get hurt because they disagree with you or dare to have a different opinion it must be their fault because they have (incorrect) ‘leanings’. Clearly someone kicking ‘disgusting tatooed scrotes of women’ (to paraphrase) in the face is just something that happens when you are caught up in ‘anti-racist fervour’.
As I have said I think he is genuinely sorry, if this is so perhaps he could consider that all arguements have two sides and thugs dragging women out of toilets and beating them up is a) not the best way of democratic protest and b) no laughing matter

These people live in a media bubble, promoted and preserved by the BBC, where their views and behaviour are rarely challenged so when it does leak out and they find out that the wider world considers women to be women, regardless of their political views, and kicking them on buses is not quite the done thing they are brought up short and subject to a healthy dose of reality. The drawback is that they continue to be subsidised by public funds and the BBC, which was originally set up to be the standard-bearer for what were considered to be generally accepted norms of moral behaviour, condones and excuses rather than excoriates them.

Oldie but a goldie…
From an apology from one, to an apology for one…
