ALWAYS GRATEFUL FOR THE WORK…

Ah, the Now Show, such a gem. A Biased BBC reader notes…

“Some of your hat-tippers may have already picked this up, but last Friday’s edition of The Now Show featured a comedian called Paul Sinha. Amusingly, and to much audience laughter, he said that in order to meet the BBC’s commitment to editorial balance a comedian from the Far Left was always balanced by one from the Centre Left. He added that ‘he was always grateful for the work’.”

I thought there were only two possible political stances at the BBC:
Far-left and ‘GOD DAMN RACIST NAZI FASCIST!!’

Something suggests that Mr. Sinha may not be banking too many BBC cheques in the future.

Paul Sinha has regular tv income from ITV show the chase, so I guess he’s not worried about the BBC shilling.

The man`s not funny, but now I find myself liking him!
Let`s at least thank him for the honesty…and ,no doubt: the rush to wipe it from the memory as soon as poss in the BBC editing suites.

    I loathe the BBC because……

For at least the last 50 years the Left has not only been intellectually misguided (a rough dictionary definition of truth is whatever is the exact opposite of what Leftists are currently claiming) it has also been morally bankrupt (a Leftist essentially is somebody who wants to redistribute wealth taken from others [with lots of banners emblazoned with the phrase “Social Justice] into their own pocket) and the broadcasting output of the BBC over the last 50 years has been increasingly little more than self-serving Leftist propaganda (a typical BBC producer is a middle class Oxbridge educated socialist who believes that tax serfs should fund their sinecures).

Although Leftists believe that tax serfs should be instructed to have correct thoughts (a correct thought is that we should be slavishly pro-EU, not because it is yet another sinecure but because it is anti-British – Leftist hatred of England is bottomless and would be laughable if it were not so poisonous) I see no reason why if somebody believes (for example) that Paxman is a Leftist twat, they should be forced to pay his (million pound a year) wages.

The overwhelming dominance of the BBC in television/radio broadcasting in the UK is not accidental, its tax funded opposition to all alternative sources of news and comment (as its recent campaign against the Murdoch press demonstrates) is a direct consequence of its political agenda.
If you believe in liberty (in other words if contrary to the political practices of nearly every society in human history you believe in a free society) this implies that all news/comment broadcasting, indeed ALL television and radio production, should be supplied by a PLURALITY of providers, so that power is shifted away from the State back to the viewer/listener. The huge BBC in short should be dismantled.

I protest, if they come from Oxford or Cambridge they have the lowest qualifications in the Arts and Humanities and are therefore driven to the left by an innate sense of inferiority towards their fellow Oxbridge interns, and therefore are only fit for employment with the BBC.

Marcus Prigstocke must be in a quandary whether to add him to his Christmas card list .
On the one hand he`s ethnic minority , which in The Now Show`s shallow minds means Double Good , but he speaks truth unto power , which means Doubleplus Bad .

One of the interesting shifts over the last 50 years is that humanities scholars were generally on the Right politically, whereas researchers in the sciences were generally on the Left, and the opposite is now more accurate.

The New Left have more or less destroyed the humanities in the universities, and so hard sciences community is now much more likely to have advocates who are hostile to its relativist assumptions, although because most universities hang off the public teat, they are still full of the usual (the poor should be forced to pay my wages) middle class parasites.

It pays to be an anthropgenic climate change advocate at the moment because of all the government funding. A good case study in how politicians can corrupt the sciences. The sciences also require a “free society” in order to flourish.
