So Barclays is cutting bonuses for their own evil greedy employees. The trend begins. This is being driven by the BBC, yet nobody seems to complain.

If the Mail can cause an outcry, and Beeboids and favored comedians and actors and Guardianistas can bitch about it, why doesn’t everyone assume the BBC to have the same power? The BBC pushes the “get out the pitchforks” agenda, and we’re starting to see the results. Yet they continue to roll their eyes at any such accusations and continue to get away with it.

We’ve seen certain segments of the media try the same thing here in the US, but it hasn’t worked as well. Thankfully, we don’t have an official national broadcaster with a legacy of trust and culture spanning generations, from which the majority of the public gets their news and opinions.

I was in the gym tonight on the running machine  :'(  and on the little telly was the BBC news with Fiona Lookatmyarse.  I didn’t have any headphones so it was silent thankfully.

Up comes on the screen the Barclays logo, a picture of Bob Diamond, and the number £3 million.

A more relevant number (you would think) would be Barclays’ £6bn profit, the tax on which funds the client state.

Anyone remember a picture of ToptalentGraham Norton on the screen with the number £3 million, or Fiona Lookatmyarse with the number £1.2 million, or Jeremy Vine with the number £1.4 million.

The bBC brings out yet another bleeding hearts article for murdering scum:
‘Shocking’ toll of prison remand deaths
A lodger accused of a double murder has been found hanged in prison two weeks after a man in a separate double murder case was found hanged in his cell. Both men were on remand at the time of their deaths. Last year, more than 40% of people who killed themselves in prison were on remand, according to The Howard League for Penal Reform. But why do so many prisoners on remand take their lives and is it possible to prevent suicide if someone is determined to take their own life?

Yet again the bleeding heart liberals at the bBC wax lyrical about the rights of murdering scum rather than the victims of these odious people.
    ‘Shocking death toll’
Frances Crook, the chief executive of the charity, which campaigns on a range of issues to do with prisons and community safety, said: “We have seen 30 deaths in January – nearly one person a day dying in custody.

Never a more apt name for somebody who feels that criminals have more rights than decent law abiding people. Well you want to know something crooky That figure of 1 death a day isn’t enough for me, more the merrier. But then I suppose to the toffueatingethicallattedrinking wankers at the bBC this is the biggest travesty in the UK.

The impact of a prisoner’s suicide on those affected by crime is something the charity Victim Support is concerned about.
Javed Khan, chief executive of Victim Support, said: “News that an offender or person on remand has committed suicide is bound to have a strong emotional impact on the victims.
“Some victims will feel cheated of justice, others left wondering if the person on remand was responsible or not. It’s vital in situations like this that the authorities keep the victims of the crime informed – or the families left behind in the case of murder – and that they make contact sensitively.

And I bet the vast majority of victims feel really glad the murdering scumbag is dead and thus saved the tax payer a lot of money. Yet, the bBC or Mr Khan don’t mention that side of the story. I suppose the bBC will now edit the Wizard of Oz in which to take out how the little people celebrate the death of the Wicked Witch. I mean we be can’t be seen to be making fun of nasty people now, can we?

Just for the record. There are no criminals in remand. Innocent until proved guilty. There are only people accused of committing a crime.

Unlike prison which is a punishment (we can argue about recidivism, severity of punishment and prison conditions in another place) remand is designed to restrict the movement of an accused until trial and judgement not to be, as far as is possible, a  punishment. If a substantial number commit suicide while in remand it really ought to be investigated.

Esler on the News Channel has been covering the noise about the Falklands. A couple minutes ago he was talking to some guy from Argentina who said it was a matter of national pride, etc., and the Argentinian people felt that the islands “historically” belonged to them. Esler was clued in enough to ask if there wasn’t also an oil factor involved, but failed to point out that back when Britain took control of the Falklands, there was no such thing as an Argentinian people. No real challenge to the Argentinian position at all, really, just helpful statements by Esler clarifying their position for the audience.

Yet when he then talked to some woman who was defending the British position, he even tried to challenge her by saying that having search and rescue crews in the area was provocative militarization.

P.S. Come to think of it they would blame the invasion on the cuts to the armed forces.

A few years back I was doing Ju-Jitsu and one of the lads there kept on asking me to fight him, I knowing what I can do kept on refusing him, one day sick of his badgering I accepted. He young ,strong and good, Me just that bloke who never fights anybody and always says sorry if he hurts anybody. It was over in seconds, I took his knee out, everybody had a go at me, including his wife , why? he started it, I finished it simples.

The same thing transpired in Germany where my new black belt wanted me to fight for him, I refused and he found a young lance jack to do his bidding, Anyway later on he drew up a fight between me and his protege and on the mat he attacked  boy did he attack, problem was he was so easy to work out, me I kept on moving back until I saw my chance and dropped him with an ushiro mawashi geri ( A reverse round house kick) he dropped onto the floor and the sensi came out with “Anybody can do fancy kicks” I repleid “I’m not the one on the floor” and walked out of the Gym.  (Have to admit, even i was impressed with that kick)

I see the bbC (As mentioned at the end of the last open thread ) have dragged up the death of Roy Hunniford in its usual loaded towards Islam article.
    Ray Honeyford: Racist or right?
Ray Honeyford, the head teacher who caused a national controversy over his outspoken criticisms of multiculturalism in schools, has died. But have his views, which once polarised opinion, become mainstream?… Bradford’s then Labour Mayor, Mohammed Ajeeb, called for Mr Honeyford’s dismissal…. Mohammed Ajeeb stands by his actions more than a quarter of a century later. He told the BBC: “The article was very critical of the Muslim culture and the race relations situation in the city was not very good at that time.
“If he wanted the Asian children to get better equipped with linguistic skills, he could have advocated the policy of dispersal of pupils among different schools into other areas, which is what I wanted. He could have done that if he was interested in the harmony and mixing of different races and living and working together.”But he chose simply to criticise the culture and religion. He was not critical of the education system, which I think in those days was responsible for the perpetuation of schools developing in such a way that they were more apart.
    “It smacked of cultural chauvinism.”

Yes in the eyes of the bBC nobody but nobody may dare to oppose the march of the leftwing/Islamic bigot and anybody who does so must be sanctioned, removed or re-educated. So has anybody read what Mr Honeyford wrote and where he was coming from. He was a head teacher where the vast majority of children were ‘Asian’ his words not mine, yet the bBC allows the former mayor ’Mohammed Ajeeb to play the Islamic  victimcard(His words not mine)
He told the BBC: “The article was very critical of the Muslim culture and the race relations situation in the city was not very good at that time.

OK let look at what Mr Honeyford wrote shall we:
I recall, for instance, the meeting called to explain to Asian parents the importance of regular school attendance for their offspring’s future. A very high proportion of Asian immigrants have a habit of sending children to the Indian subcontinent during term time with obvious, deleterious educational consequences. Not only is the practice inadvisable, it is almost certainly illegal, though no local education authority has had the courage to bring a test case, and the Department of Education and Science turns a blind eye. After much badgering from the schools, the local authority had agreed try to impose on brown parents the same obligations it demanded from white and black parents with regard to school attendance…. Against all normal expectations the meeting was packed. There had obviously been a local ‘three line whip’ from the Pakistani leadership. It quickly became evident that what had been proposed as an act of reconciliation, based on the school’s concern for the child, was to descend into a noisy and unseemly demonstration of sectarian bitterness. The hysterical political temperament of the Indian subcontinent became evident — an extraordinary sight in an English school hall. There was much shouting and fist waving. The local authority was accused of ‘racism’; the chairman insulted. One anglicised Asian stood near the door and, at regular intervals, shouted ‘bullshit’ at the chair. The disorder was orchestrated. Questions were always preceded by a nod from a Muslim leader… I raised my hand to speak several times but was ignored. The atmosphere was highly charged and threatening. I left before the end, bitterly disappointed. Needless to say, the absenteeism of Asian pupils abroad continues. The authorities have simply given up. And I am left with the ethically indefensible task of complying with a school attendance policy which is determined not, as the law requires, on the basis of individual parental responsibility but by the parent’s country of origin — a blatant and officially-sanctioned policy of racial discrimination

So a teacher concerned about the poor standards attained by his students is shouted down as a racist for stating the bleeding obvious and the bBC allow a former mayor to lead the posse against him.  A religious bigot who the bBC allow to play the victim card in which to promote their leftwing ‘Muslims can only be victims’ angle. I quote:
“I received hate mail saying I should go. I still have a sack full of racist letters I’ve kept.”
And poor Mr Honeyford, he had to have police protection, but according to the bBC he was a ray-cist
I’ll leave with another snippet from Mr Honeyford’s article :
The issues and problems of our multi-racial inner cities are frequently thrown into sharp relief for me. As the head teacher of a school in the middle of a predominantly Asian area, I am often witness to scenes which have the raw feel of reality — and the recipient of vehement criticism, whenever I question some of the current educational orthodoxies connected with race. It is very difficult to write honestly and openly of my experiences and the reflections they evoke, since the race relations lobby is extremely powerful in the state education service. The propaganda generated by multi-racial zealots is now augmented by a growing bureaucracy of race in local authorities. And this makes freedom of speech difficult to maintain. By exploiting the enormous tolerance, traditional in this country, the race lobby has so managed to induce and maintain feelings of guilt in the well-disposed majority, that decent people are not only afraid of voicing certain thoughts, they are uncertain even of their right to think those thoughts. They are intimidated not only by their fear of giving offence by voicing their own reasonable concerns about the inner cities, but by the necessity of conducting the debate in a language which is dishonest.

The bBC continues its anti-British drive over the Falkland Islands.
Falklands: UN chief calls on UK and Argentina for calm
UN chief Ban Ki-moon has called on Argentina and the UK to avoid an “escalation” in tensions over the disputed Falkland Islands. His appeal came as Argentina’s foreign minister made an official complaint to the UN about the UK’s “militarisation” in the South Atlantic. Last month the UK said it was sending one of its newest Royal Navy destroyers to the region.
The two countries went to war in 1982 over the British overseas territory.
War, bBC? War was never declared it was a conflict. I do like the loaded sentence which describes how the UK went to war over an overseas territory. Thus implying stolen land.
The UK says it is only carrying out routine operations in the South Atlantic, off Argentina’s east coast.
Really, just off their coast,  the Falkland’s are  over 300 miles away from Argentina bBC , that’s the same as saying that a ship docked in Hull is off the Danish coastline. Good job the British are sending HMS Dautmess then I quote from the bBC:
“The HMS Dauntless, which is due to arrive off the Falklands in March, is among the largest and most powerful of the UK’s air defence destroyers.”
“The” HMS Dautless bBC, f-ing hell what does one need to get a job at the beeb a degree in Arabic? But back to the above. how threatening can HMS Dauntless be to Argentina if it is an air defence destroyer. It’s not fitted out for long range surface to surface contact, (Anything more than a few miles) its role is anti-air. So much for the bBCs defence experts.
The UK says the islands have been militarised ever since Argentina’s invasion in 1982 and insists its defences remain unchanged and the warship is only replacing one in the area.
Yes bBC lets look at what the UK has down there shall we:
    1 destroyer,
    4 planes
Around 500 soldiers of which around 120 are infantry.

Now Argentina can bring to the table over 53 jets to the table. 4 destroyers , 9 corvette’s and 3 subs

So on paper who can more to the table? But I do love this snippet from the bitch who cried over the death of Arafat :
The escalating rhetoric reflects escalating tensions over the 30th anniversary in April of the Falklands war, the BBC’s Barbara Plett at the UN in New York reports. Our reporter says there is a fair bit of sympathy at the UN headquarters for Argentina’s position that the Falklands are a British colonial holdover.
No change in her liberal mindset then. Shame the bBC don’t mentioned the huge chunk of Paraguay , Argentina annexed in 1876. You know that bit of land around 5 times larger than the falkland islands. But then only the British and Jews steal land according to the bBC don’t they.

The latest news flahs from the bBC reads that Argentina is complaining about the 4 fold increase in the British military presence by sending down HMS Dauntless. Really bBC? Any astute person would know that any such complaint will result in the UN asking the Uk to clarify the situation and the Uk will tell them thus allowing Argentina exactly what we have down there.  I wonder why the bBC doesn’t mention that. Oh and for f-sake bBC. HMS Dauntless doesn’t replace HMS Montrose until the end of next month. So how the hell can you continue to shite-stir by continually regurgitating this old tripe:

And the bbC steps up a gear by repeating the Argentine propaganda that the UK has sent a Nuclear armed Sub into the South Atlantic.
Argentina claims UK sent nuclear submarine to Falklands
Err bBC, do any of your so called Military experts know the difference between a Nuclear Hunter killer (The Trafalgar class) and a Nuclear Ballistic  Submarine (Vanguard class) why would any rational mind send a nuclear missile armed sub (of which we have 4 , 1 on patrol, 1 in dock, 1 training and 1 getting refitted)  when its missiles (with a range of 7000) would be out of range of their designated targets in the Northern Hemsphere. Instead they would send a Hunter killer of which we have 7 (6 Trafalgar class, 1 Astute class)
But here is what really gets me, remember that Russian surface fleet that was off the coast of Scotland the other month. Well guess where that fleet is now. Why only off Brazil, I wonder why the Argentines don’t bitch about that, because as we all know the Russians wouldn’t carry nuclear weapons on their ships would they.

I also wonder why nobody at the bBC is mentioning how the Russians have 1 nuclear powered Aircraft carrier ,

So the President is having to make yet another compromise on His Health Care Plan For Us because enough people got wind of the fact that He was going to force Catholic institutions to violate their religious beliefs and pay for birth control for their employees.

The BBC attempts a balanced report about it, but just can’t resist making sure you get the White House message. Four different times, they quote the President or a White House talking point about fairness and protecting women’s health – the standard buzz words on this issue. The full White House position is spelled out and reinforced. Plus there’s an extra White House talking point that some states already have similar laws on the books, just to help further diminishing critics, as if there’s nothing wrong with it because someone else is trying it. There are three spots of actual opponents’ words, plus a “critics say”, so we’re heading towards balance, although not really there. Once can sense the poor sub-editor striving, so a little bit of credit where due.

Aside from that, I’m sure insurance companies will be overjoyed that they have to provide birth control free of charge, out of their own pocket, if a Catholic employer’s plan doesn’t cover it.

    But the BBC ends with:

The Obama administration has sought to portray the issue as a balance between religious freedoms and preventing discrimination under the new healthcare law.

Just in case you didn’t get the message. They just can’t help themselves.

The bBC’s Guide to the Falkland Islands
    Regions and territories: Falkland Islands
The isolated and sparsely-populated Falkland Islands, a British overseas territory in the south-west Atlantic Ocean, remain the subject of a sovereignty dispute between Britain and Argentina, who waged a brief but bitter war over the territory in 1982.
Argentine forces, who had landed on the Falklands to stake a territorial claim, were ejected by a British military task force.
I see the bBC continues with its leftwing viewpoint on the falklands which is why it has rewritten History in which to remake the British as the bad guys. I mean Argentina never invaded with deadly force in 1982 (read up on how they attacked Moody Brook barracks with machine gun and rockets in the hope of catching the Royal Marines in their beds.) But according to the bBC they landed in which to stake a territorial claim , of course they did bBC. Which is why the bBC also reports the bloody invasion of the Falklands by Argentina writing:
After months of sabre-rattling, Argentine troops set foot on the islands on 2 April 1982.
Setting foot bBC? Strange how the bBC which waxes lyrical over how Arabs, China and Argentina never invade others but the nasty Americans, British and Jews do.
In December, the Argentine parliament passed a law laying claim to the Falklands, along with nearby South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, in a move rejected by the UK.
Nearby??? South Georgia is around 1000 miles from the Falkland’s,  over 1500 miles from Argentina, nothing nearby about them. Antarctica is bloody closer and nobody say’s that’s nearby.
In what it described as a “routine” move, early in 2012 the British government dispatched one of its newest destroyers, HMS Dauntless, to the South Atlantic to patrol the Falklands coast.
Again the bBC promotes this belligerent British point of view. Once again bBC, the Royal supplies a ship to patrol the Southern Atlantic and they do so for 6 months at a time, currently HMS Montrose is on duty, she replaced HMS Edinburgh and she in turn will be replaced by HMS Dauntless.

The bBC the traitors in our Midst.

As you so rightly say, JHT, this is simply dishonesty resulting from cowardice. We need people like Nigel to show the public that politicians can say these things that chime with the silent majority, provided they do so with boldness and confidence. Of course, one has to have the courage in the first place. Some hope.

Argentina has no valid claim over the Falkland Islands. This is obvious to anybody (especially somebody from Argentina) who looks at the evidence. The UK would have a stronger legal case if it claimed the French province of Anjou for the British crown.

If all four journalists (who are invited by the BBC to discuss the issue) declare that they want the victory of Argentina, this tells us only one thing, they hate Britain.

They cannot say, well we have looked at the evidence and we think that Argentina has the stronger legal claim, because the evidence is not there to justify it.

They cannot say, because we are democrats we are seeking to follow the wishes of the Islanders, because as far as I can see not a single person who lives on the Islands wants to be invaded by Argentina.

How about the moral case? That might is right and Argentina is much closer hardly amounts to a moral case. Rather the opposite.

So why does the BBC make a programme in which all four of its guests are invited to sit around and hate Britain, to support force rather than justice, and come out in favour of tyranny rather than freedom?

      What does it tell us?

It tells us that in 1940 the BBC would have invited four journalists to sit around a table in London in order that they can explain to us why we should capitulate to Germany.

What does that tell us about the BBC?

These people want to eliminate the most effective opponent of Britain’s Left-wing establishment – the popular press. Protesters at Friday’s “Occupy CPAC” event, organized by AFL-CIO and the Occupy DC movement, told The Daily Caller that they were paid “sixty bucks a head” to protest outside the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

One protester told The DC that all the “Occupy” activists were being paid to protest, and that his union, Sheet Metal Workers Local 100, approached him about the money-making opportunity.

The Occupiers, darlings of the BBC, are now exactly the kind of paid astroturfers guided by the hand of a national political organization, just like Kevin “Teabagger” Connolly said the Tea Party was in April 2009, and what Mark Mardell claimed in September 2011. Of course, back when “Teabagger” Connolly made his assessment, the Tea Party movement really was a spontaneous grassroots deal, and was just beginning to be a bandwagon on which national figures and organizations would jump. Even today, there are plenty of local groups around the country which do their own thing and are not run by think tanks in Washington, contrary to Mardell’s statement to the BBC CoJ. But you won’t ever hear a Beeboid saying such a thing about their little darlings.

Evra’s hand was out as it was with all the Liverpool players that had passed before Suarez, and all the others had taken the hand and shaken it.  Suarez clearly snubbed it.

Maybe Evra over-reacted by grabbing his arm, and celebrating a win at the end (I thought all footballers celebrated winning matches, but you’re not allowed to do that against Liverpool apparently – I remember Gary Neville getting a hefty fine for doing the same thing!).  Maybe he was too near Suarez when he celebrated – possibly but I think he felt provoked by the non-handshake at the beginning.

They are all paid shitloads of money and need to act like they deserve it. Having said that; the initial fault was with Suarez, but maybe it wasn’t helped later by Evra’s reaction.

But isn’t that rather the point, Ron?  Islam was indeed ‘mentioned’, thus ticking the box for balance; but ‘the culture associated’ was deftly avoided, thus avoiding the ‘wider and deeper coverage’ that you advocate!

The production team will consider that a job well done.

*Just slapped one in on Gavin Esler’s Dateline Londion panel composition (cited earlier), which managed to all agree, with the chairman, that the British are wrong over the Falklands.

Took a few goes to overcome 502 – Bad Gateway dropouts. Are tech issues going to be the next hurdle they throw in?

Actually there is a wider point to made here.

Dateline London views should come as no surprise. They came as no surprise to me – heavily tipped as they are towards non-British viewpoints and opinions.

I will bear this mind when I hear these supra-national commentators pontificate on other issues. You know what…? They may not have the British people’s best interests at heart.

So for once a sincere thank you to the BBC is in order – for outing these anti-Brits.

When they go on to big up the EU, the Arab Spring, Global Warming, Obama et al – I will recall the general thrust of their agenda.

Strange that their views fit so comfortably with an organisation that has the word British in its title.

Is this not going to be seen by anyone in the UK?

Still, I’d rather hear an apology for the BBC hiring a bunch of  partisan supporters of the President to do reports on US issues.

Oh dear, oh dear. INBBC’s Aleem MAQBOOL is in Islamabad spending our money expounding a politically censored version of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan history, excluding key references to ‘Islam’, ‘Jihad’, the sheltering of Bin Laden, the support for the Taliban, and Pakistan’s opposition to the West.

It’s essentially a colour piece. Falkland Islands: A shortage of eggs By Allan Little BBC News, Falkland Islands.

I can’t expect them to relate to Israel’s blockade of Gaza (One bad, one apparently neutral) but I would like to know why the Falklands don’t invest in Israeli agricultural technology, as in green houses and aquaponics for their fresh vegetables? There is no reason why an area about 60% 0f Wales (for the BBC that is apparently not much smaller) couldn’t produce food for 2,500 (Wikipedia says 3,140) can’t uitilise technology to grow their own?

I stumbled across this yesterday. The message I got from it was that the Falklands are a lost cause. Nobody there seemed even to object to being punished by an international boycott.
