Tonight Question Time comes from Nottingham.
David Dimbleby is joined by Ken Clarke, John Prescott, LibDem Susan Kramer, businesswoman Julie Meyer* and a random lefty freak called Owen Jones. In fact ignore that last link – you’ll just encourage him with the hits on his blog.
So with the possible exception of Julie Meyer that means no-one right of centre on the panel tonight. Oh dear.
As with last week, please remember that humour is good, sarcasm is fine, biting wit is even better but direct threats of violence and disgusting language are not acceptable. We will not add such comments. Have fun – but be good now…
Your Moderators line-up consists of David Mosque, TheEye and John Ward. David Vance has taken the awesome option of heading out to a concert tonight. I suspect we will all envy him within minutes of kick-off.
It’s a 10:30pm kick off and there is no This Week afterwards so drinking can be focused and intense. See you here later!
UPDATE: For those who enjoy the Blue Nun Bingo whilst watching This Week (and also for those who don’t understand it) David Mosque has created a website dedicated to the game here. Genius. No other word for it. Genius.
* Oh yes
If I were Julie Meyer, I would bale out now; for fear of catching something from the lice-infested creeps who`ll be surrounding her.
She is clearly a successful can-do American woman, so what do you think are her chances of avoiding Prescott or his bussed-in goons?
Just the BBCs posh version of bear-baiting!
And if there`s not a question about Tracey Temple or who paid Prescotts legal aid and why…or about how exactly Dimbleby gets his three hundred pieces of silver paid to him (or his estate/business/trust fund/blind trust/company/business/offshore account); then I`d really get some sleep!
It’s good to know they’re now inviting bloggers on. I imagine to balance things out they’ll have Guido on next week.
Mr Dimbleby, when will you retire from this nepotism post? And, do you think you will ever ask Jesus for forgiveness for what you have done? If you don’t, you know you will be going to Hell, don’t you? Me, I’m not a good Christian because I really look forward to seeing you there.
Oh FFS! What a tired, corrupt bunch of bile filled hatemongers and hypoctitical bigots. That is the one overiding characteristic of the left I find most repuslive, their sickening hypocrisy over issues of “tolerance” and “diversity” as they seek to impose their version of exactly the same, left-wing hate-filled thought policed society on everyone.
Last time Lord Lard of Prescott was on he ignored every question and tweeted the show away.
sorry i thought it said twatted the show away….
I wonder if the trendy middle class chit-chat show Question (but no real answers) Time will be discussing this horrific case that has happened purely as a result of successive PC Marxist governmental policies of uncontrolled mass immigration? No, of course it won’t be; we can’t deviate from the Group Speak narrative now can we?
crack-head in the country 8 days and manages to slay an elderly couple. Cost of keeping this guy in jail for 34 years = £1,275,000 (excludes inflation) Cost of a one way ticket to Warsaw on BA = £148, WTF are we keeping him here for?
According to the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice, the cost of lethal injection is $86.08.
But a length of rope costs £4.99 from B & Q.
And volunteers to hang on to one end, free and plentiful…
Recently I noticed one of these ‘cops with cameras’ shows which followed a police team tasked with serving an extradition warrant on a man wanted for a crime in Poland who had fled to the UK.
A policman remarked that this was not an unusual event – there were about one a day. That is 300 a year and that is just Poland.
Newsnight are back to “The Sun”…is it the end of scummy newspapers like Ruperts, but hello to more BBC and iPlayer…and, of course the Morning Star and The Guardian will be “free”.
Oh…and the BBC will be fussing over the “interns” issue…
Neither story came up today as faras I know…so they`ve “surprised and delighted me” with these public interest stories, that we`ve all been talking about!
The BBC is just the pinkoes vanity press nowadays…let them publish their own vanity crap but not with our money.
I am glad to see Murdoch finally fighting back and defending the Sun and launching the Sunday Sun. let’s hope he fills the first issue with copious amounts of shit about the BBC, the Guardian, the labour party and other venal left wing bastards who want to control our access to news, by giving the BBC overwhelming dominance in the media market.
I admit that I do not like everything Murdoch has done, but I am very glad that he provides some small alternative to the left wing establishment’s almost total domination of UK news output.
The only reason they invited a businesswoman to appear is because she’s a business woman. That is, a crusader against the pinstriped army of groping, leering, sex addicts.
So I don’t fancy her chances with Prescott in the studio. Mind you, at least she won’t notice if he does manage to shag her.
Two-jumps Prescott, the Lardy Lord with an eye on the police…
(who, no doubt, have their eye on HIM…)
It was really very very poor stuff. RT has the Keiser report. In a different league to anything the BBc can come up with. All that money and all that rubbish.
Owen Jones is really a very stupid self opinionated pipsqueak that in any normal household wouldn’t be squashed.
So he was a union sponsored parliamentary assistant? A relatively quick search of the internet says he was ‘assistant to a MP’ but more time than it is worth spending over Mr Jones fails to reveal which MP he was an assistant to? Does anyone know?
He`s an author too remember!
And don`t let that Stockport accent fool you either…he turns out to be Scottish too, and has a wardrobe stuffed full of Muslim friends too.
Truly just the kind of Renaissance Man the BBC love to love.
Still-didn`t he devastate NuLabours legacy…in reverential tones and with an awful lot of respect to the Lord Prescott?
That passes for the BBCs version of a “good rebellion”…so we can expect to see a lot more of this “Uni grajewitt” as the “voyce of yoof”.
Only the BBC would choose the leavings of Starkeys chihuahua to speak for the nation-and cast the Great Man himself into outer darkness.
Yes and the BBC really love him for writing Chavs, the Guardian-approved narrative of working class demonisation ie poverty and the rightwing media. He was the burk the BBC brought to represent their sanctioned view of whites on the infamous Richard Starkey incident.
When I heard the shallow guff exuding from his mouth, I remember thinking “what exactly is the white equivalent of an Uncle Tom? A nephew Owen, perhaps?”
Owen Shoutie made the program an even bigger heap of elephant dollop than it normally is.
‘I wasn’t affected by Thatcher but my family was’.
Yeah that’s right, Shoutie, you being minus two years of age when she left office an’ all.
Still I understand your nan was majorally affected by Thatcher -having bought her own council house for twenty grand and seeing it rise ten-fold since.
Owen – truly the half-wit’s half-wit.
I took one glance at QT and thought I had gone to some kind of adolescent Sci-fi Hell.
Overfed Dimbleby flanked by two Jabba the Huts! Mirror image Tweedle-dumb and tweedle-a-lot-dummer.
Some arsey oik on the left and a bit of eye-candy on the right.
I turned off and had a stiff drink to help me back to reality.
And Prescott is doing Desert Island Discs apparently very soon.
Obviously it`s “our John” who`s the BBCs dream Commissioner for Gotham City then.
Let`s see that fat garbled fool do security at Salfords BBC Pod of Brilliant Things for a week before we let him loose on Hulls Chip shops.
Why jail Ali Dizaei when he`s only what Prescott has shown himself to be?
The BBC are one fat taxi for hire, as long as the ex-lefties have been neutered, and lavender sachets stitched back on in place.
‘And Prescott is doing Desert Island Discs..’
Let me guess.. dedicated to Tracey Temple?
Reckon there`s a good game to be had here!
1. Thief in the Temple…Prince.
2. I like Chinese…Monty Python
3. Yellow River…Christie
4. Cunard Yanker…to be written yet!
5. The Boxer…Simon and Garfunkel
…and all manner of croquet, bulimia, Hull, police commissioner, Fat corrupt Lord with his family doing very nicely themes…life`s too short to waste on the great disgrace of a stain on Westminsters bedsheets.
No future generation will ever think we didn`t dumb down as low as possibe by giving this man a “Deputies badge” and not keep him as the cartoon fool that he is!
6. Fire Brigade…The Move. After Prezzer blowing almost £500million on National Call Centres, now mothballed: as should he be.
‘1. Thief in the Temple’
Gets my vot across all historical applications.
I wonder, is there a song that has ‘rapporteur’ in it… preferably not in a good way?
For now I’ll offer..
Black Eyed Peas – Labor Day (Its A Holiday)
‘When I’m out of my cucoon, I’m ready to consume’
About right for Lord Creosote of Hypocrisy.
I could not abide that Owen Jones so much i had to switch off.
Inspite of my better judgement, I thought I may tune in after all this week.
By the time that young idiot Owen had spoken two sentences, I swtitched off again.
When it was announced that he had written in defence of chavs, I knew he was some sort of intellectually malformed fuckwit.
You cannot defend chavs, unless you are one. They are scum simple as that! Anyone who has had the terrible misfortune to live within the vicinity of any chav gangs knows that they are scum. One of my nephews is a chav and he IS scum. They exhibit no redeeming attributes whatsoever. They contribute nothing and cause grief and suffering to those who live around them.
I am glad I switched off.
I could not abide that Owen Jones so much that I never switched on in the first place.
The odious Owen Jones is just the male equivalent of Laura Penney.
Tomorrows schmoozers and greasers of the perpetual left, that can see a meal ticket and a permanent locker at the BBC and associated liberal rags and orifices like the Guardian or News reviews.
As Costello once sang…let`s try and be amused, and not disgusted..hard though it it!
Reason for this mellowness..I remember when I too was a gobby, shallow plonker…let`s call it my ScoDez phase. Twenty-something and having spent too much time with the Class Warriors of my era.
And now?…well the Ridleys,Lawsons, Inghams, Whitelaws. Powells and Tebbits are all heroes to me…for most had atually DONE something before they ended up in Thatchers cabinet…most of them can write and had something to say…and Owen Jones only reminds me to send Margaret Thatcher a “thank you and I`m sorry for having been a shithead ” letter to her, whilst she can still appreciate one.
The likes of Jones are homeopathic dilutions of Prescott-God help them!
All we need to do is stay amused, don`t give them your money or consent…and be thankful that the likes of Ridley and Tebbit were a bit more than the likes of Jones, Miliband…and Cameron of course.
Off Topic… I notice that yet again the BBC spent the whole morning speculating on yet another set of negative economic figures to be released today. This time it was the retail sales figures, which the BBC fully expected to show a fall, due to the high streets being slaughtered by austerity measures with rows of empty shops all over the country a stark reminder of the economic turmoil in which we live.
Then, yet again, SURPRISE!!! A shock rise in sales? This is now an opportunity for the BBC to beat the drum for more pessimistic forecasting to cast the shock figures into sharp relief against the dire economic outlook. So dear viewer, don’t you dare start thinking that the economy is looking up!!! The BBC will do all it can to kill off any confidence in the economy and to talk of any “feel-good factor” is to commit herecy!
Isn’t there a special edition of QT for school age children?
Why is young Owen on the grown-ups program?
