Oh, and the post is slightly more nuanced than you appear to suggest.

Sky yesterday ran a piece on national fraud.

What surprised me was that one of the major ones, at £200M, was ‘licence fee evasion’.

More so that this was simply skipped past without anyone asking further questions.

Why? How? Who? That is a lot of people not stumping up for some (possibly very good) reason.

And equating forgoing a compelled fee for EastEnders or The Voice whether you watch them or not, and inaccurate headlines as they want to ensure their ‘news’ fits an American social media service, with getting vast benefits by lying and cheating, seems… unique.

Don’t have time for everything. But have our favourite geniuses bothered with the story about the MP who now needs police protection?

      Good find Burt.
Now if it would have been an MP threatened by pro-Israel activists you can be sure it would have been on the BBC mainpage. As it is, they prefer to ignore it. They probably think ‘serve him right for sticking up for Israel’.

There is no current thread on “Climate Change” so I’ll raise it here.

It seems that scepticism is now a disease and like racism and other ‘isms are in need of urgent treatment. Never fear, we now have new health practitioners who are going to treat all the loons with this disease and they are called “Environ-Sociologists”. I kid you not.

    Thanks to The Register;

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03/30/climate_scepticism_racism_slavery_treatment/

Lets see how long it takes for the BBC to enlist the services of these specialists to ensure each one of the sceptics receives treatment for the disease.

Message to Stalin; these modern mortals would make you blush with embarrassment.

I take it back. This move by Newsnight from its tightly controlled blog to FaceBook & twitter may just work out:

    http://www.facebook.com/bbcnewsnight

I presume FaceBook won’t be too impressed with the ‘we don’t like it so it’s OT’ rule the BBC editors deployed like confetti?

So the debate may actually open up.

However I know they can block you on twitter.

    What then?

    Who to appeal to?

I doubt getting hold of twitter is that easy to appeal, and being US-based, them then asking the Trust what’s going on might be interesting.

Can the BBC ban licence-fee payers from any interaction via these social media, which they have forced folk to use?

I feel a precedent or two worthy of testing.
