Wonder WHY the BBC seem a tad reluctant to report this story?
“An emergency medical crew narrowly escaped being lynched this week while responding on the scene of an injurious car accident near Jerusalem, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Friday. The fateful call came on Tuesday; a car carrying a group of Palestinian youths from DNA match found in TA rape case.”
One wonders if the reverse scenario had occurred and Jews had carried out an unprovoked attack against Arabs, such a story would be given prominent coverage…??
If you were a BBC news editor, would you run this story ahead of the Olympics Torch’ journey around the UK, the G8 summit, The Queens Diamond Jubilee, Chelsea winning the Champions League, the weather and the (not yet announced yet … I’m guessing this on the basis of news elsewhere) that a British soldier or two have been killed in Afghanistan (The BBC nearly always report these deaths a day or two after they happen) or maybe even the fact Obama is trying to get the French not to start pulling out of Afghanistan almost straight away.

Have to say, ‘If you were a BBC news editor.. and ..guessing this on the basis of news elsewhere’ do, on current practice, go well together in terms of professional integrity.

I think the point is that the Original Poster is suggesting that if things were the other way round (a gang of Jews had attacked a Palestinian ambulance) then the BBC would be all over the story like a rash!
a not wholly unreasonable suggestion, given the normal practise of the BBC in reporting from Israel.

Sadly, few are resourced to prove negatives in the form of bias by omission, at least to any degree of accuracy that would stand up… further raising the question of ‘stand up where’? Try raising such an issue with BBC complaints and they laugh all the way no further than the first level of ‘we’ve checked our comfort levels and… we’re very comfortable’ (when pushed, they do seem very well resourced, and I have had on complaints truly daft attempts made to compare how deep the BBC is in the mire with many others – all listed – with others equally wrong, as if two wrongs make a BBC editorial guideline). Hence observations will of necessity need to be empirical, and no less valuable for raising.
What is interesting is the need in some to rise in challenge even then, which serves only to highlight the paucity of their arguments in defence. And the BBC’s odd volume dial as suits. Which at least serves to raise the issue awareness up a notch, and for this they must be thanked.

This depressing story reveals the degree of Palestinian hate for the Israelis, such that they don’t even want aid from Israeli paramedics.
However, it’s only fair to point out that the bit about a DNA match seems to have got accidentally pulled in from a quite different news item.

What is certain, is that if these Palestinians would have had an accident, and the Israeli emergency service refused to send personnel to cover it, for whatever reason, it would have been made the most prominent story on the BBC Mid-East webpage.
