The BBC finally admit ‘someone’ jumped an Olympic torch bearer and shouted Allah Akbar whilst doing it:
‘A boy who tried to grab the Olympic torch as it was carried through Kent has been ordered to pay compensation to the torchbearer and a police officer.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, attempted to grab the flame in Rochester Road, Gravesend, on 20 July
The court heard as he went for the torch the 17-year-old shouted Allahu Akbar – Arabic for God is great.
He did not know what it meant but had seen people shouting it on TV, the court heard.’
That’s alright then….he had no political motive behind the action….just did it for the hell of it? This report says he did it to impress his friends…..but also says : ‘Defending the youth, Wayne Crowhurst said: “He doesn’t get out of the house very often – he spends most time at home on his computer.’
Just what websites does he visit…and which friends did he want to impress?
Wonder if Nicky Campbell will now do a show asking if TV is radicalising our youth?
So this numpty, who conveniently cannot be named, thought he’d just leap out of the crowd and attack someone with an Olympic flame, whilst crying ‘Allahu Akbar’…….as you do without thinking, obviously…..
Yeah, right.

Did I miss the bit where Charlie Stayt asks an eye witness (as per the brevik massacre) ” tell us, what did he look like?”

It’s like all those videos from Syria where things are blown up or people are killed. You just know which side they came from because some demeted duck is quacking ‘Ali Akbar’ in the back ground.
Not sure what it means tho’. Maybe it’s the arabic for ‘boom’?

I suppose the ex-PM of Syria only said today he was a “soldier on the path of righteousnous” because he heard someone else say it – probably one of his fellow Sunni jihadist colleagues…

While I can understand that dopey kids would think it a cool stunt to grab the torch, what kind of friends would be impressed by yelling that, specifically, I wonder? The Guardian-reading atheists down at the Co-op? His Jewish friends? His Warcraft guild? His fleet mates from Star Trek Online? Was he doing a false flag op to please his friends in the Junior BNP?
It must be one of those, which is why you left it out, right, BBC?

Ask any international aid worker what happens when there is an emergency in a Muslim country. The West pours in money, aid of all kinds, doctors and workers, and set about rebuilding. The Muslim countrie(s) usually Saudi, rebuild the mosques, or build new ones, distribute Korans and provide imams who tell the locals that the reason this terrible thing has happened, is that Allah isn’t pleased with them and has punished them, because they haven’t been good enough Muslims. Oh yes, nearly forgot. The recipient country frequently charges special taxes on the value of the aid, in addition to the normal import charges, so for example, a million pounds worth of aid, costs another million before it can be distributed to the needy. I would love the BBC to do a documentary on this, but I rather suspect they would be too afraid of the potential for violent reprisal that seems to happen from some misguided followers of the religion of peace.

From the context, ‘Allahu Akbar’ seems to mean something like ‘fire in the hole’ or ‘everybody lie down on the floor and no-one will get hurt. Oops. Too slow, everybody.’

This version from YouTube is a far better Geiger counter than the BBCs line, as you can here the goon shout his words with an out and out passion. I wonder why the BBC have gone with the sound button at “off” in their version of events.

Well, to these ears he seems to pronounce it confidently and expertly, and to enunciate it clearly. I suspect, then, that he knew perfectly well what it means and its import.

‘finally admit..,’
Sub judice presumably until the case was over?

Except that this was well reported at the time, not something only from the trial.

The INBBC deliberately obscured the words with a voiceover in their version. Sweet FA to do with sub judice I’m afraid matey!
Just plain old nasty witholding the truth as ever from that treacherous bunch.

In Islam, the phrase Allahu Akbar is said during each stage of both obligatory prayers (performed five times a day), and supererogatory prayers (performed at will). The Muslim call to prayer (adhan) by the muezzin and to commence prayer (iqama) also contains the phrase.
If the boy had received any type of Muslim education he is either mentally retarded or telling lies probably on his brief’s instructions. If he isn’t Muslimand we can’t be quite sure without even knowing his name he is an idiot.
He could be receiving all his news via the BBC in which case his ignorance is understandable.
