Does anyone know who commissioned the ‘Newsnight’ story about Jimmy Savile? Who threw the first pebble into that stinking pool? How does that producer feel now that his/her hard work was set aside? Did the editor of “Newsnight” know what horrors lurked in the story when the idea was first muted?

My, my. The “Newsnight” office must be an interesting place right now.

The BBC (&others) demonstrate an inability to distinguish between Debt & Deficit. BBC News provided a further example of innumeracy this morning, informing us that the Consumer Price Index had not been lower since 2009. When of course the index is at an all time high, it is just the rate of annual increase was last this low in 2009. Sky News were no better. The September increase determines the increase to pensions etc next April. Last year the annual rate in September was 5.2%, this year it is 2.2%. Sky said that pensioners would therefore get less next April (they will actually get a lower percentage increase)

To lifers in journalism and politics the world of business and economics must remain an eternal mystery.

Also, don’t you think it suits the BBC to conflate debt and deficit to hide the true extent of Brown’s destruction of UK plc? For example, you never hear them mention the £50 billion p.a. we have to pay in debt interest before we even open our doors for business.

is anyone raising an eyebrow, at the overbearing coverage and, all i can describe as a distinct “tone”, concerning the housefire in essex coming from al bbc?

“Harlow fire deaths: Three-year-old ‘still critical’
“Harlow fire deaths: Father tried to save children, say police”
“i heard cries for help” –
    “wonderful family killed in fire”
    “father fought to save family”
in one report alone – very active, clever, just a lovely family, intelligent – very good family – very happy, seen at the mosque, very interesting, very lovely family, etc,
direct phone calls from karachi to the bbc.
it has been on 5live news every hour
    breakfast tv

one wonders, what al bbc, would really like as a result of
the police investigation? to send their coverage into the stratosphere? wink wink, or immediate disappearance
    from their newpages.

The Beeb was momentarily confused when Teresa May agreed with it and refused to extradite Gary McKinnon but, PHEW!, it’s OK they’ve found reason to start drawing attention to critical tweets because she referred to Asperger’s as “an illness” rather than “a disability”. I’m stuck at home today waiting for a delivery so have watched far more 24 hour news (Sky and Beeb) than is good for me. So bear with me as I vent 🙂

Is anyone else amazed at the gullibility of the MSN (not just the Beeb , Sky are as bad) when it comes to Mr Mckinnon ? Firstly we have an amazing diagnosis of Aspergers which seems to so often follow a guilty verdict these days. Early newspaper reports (and it is still up on Wikipedia) describe him as being a “Systems Administrator” which kind of implies he has or had a job (and probably a decent one as well). But no one seems bothered to find out anything about this job or speak to ex-colleagues. Neither has anyone looked into his educational background either. I’m guessing either enquiry wouldn’t exactly agree with the “total vegetable” narrative we are being fed.
Finally why does no one ever even try to interview (or even just talk) with Mr Mckinnon ? Old footage shown today was of him walking to court talking on a mobile phone while speaking to what appeared to be a couple of legal advisor’s so appearing to be someone that could be interviewed.
I’m not accusing the media of some grand conspiracy here just pure idleness. They are being fed a line by Mr Mckinnons media team and aren’t going to bite the hand that feeds them.

      Beyond gullible, I’d say.

February 2007 – McKinnon appeals to the High Court to set aside the decision to extradite him. The appeal is based on multiple grounds but none of them concern his health. The appeal fails.

July 2008 – The House of Lords rejects an appeal to reverse the High Court’s decision.

August 2008 – Aspergers is diagnosed.

Victims of progressive education are usually diagnosed as having a disability such as dyslexia. This disability is cured by synthetic phonics. Synthetic phonics is a progressive term for the old fashioned traditional education that existed before progressive education. Aspergers is probably some form of mindset superior to the left-wing progressive mindset, so the morons diagnose it as a disability.

        • Richard Pinder says:

We did not evolve the ability to read and write. So the same part of the brain is used to read as is used to speak. So Dyslexia does not exist because it is mostly a form of learned partial illiteracy, only rarely is it associated with speech problems, and therefore a real problem. So yes Dyslexia is Bullshit, and used by the teaching profession to put the blame on the pupil, rather on the progressive teaching methods that produced the illusion that Dyslexia exists.

          • David Preiser (USA) says:

That’s just silly. It’s a real problem with wiring in the brain. There’s even a font designed to help. If dyslexia was a fibromyalgia-type fraud, it wouldn’t work.

I know well-educated, intelligent, quite literate people who have this difficulty to varying degrees. Including a couple who were put in the special ed (read: disabled) classes by progressive teachers who simply thought they were stupid.

They don’t have speech problems. I don’t where that comes from.

John Humphrys pretend-interrogation of Harman this morning on Today was an exemplar of the “interview as propaganda” species. He didn’t lay a glove on her and, as far as I can assess these cod-discussions, never meant to. Her agenda, as usual, was for far reaching enquiries – or one super-enquiry – to confirm that all men are either rapists or bullies and cannot be trusted alone with themselves, let alone anyone “vulnerable”.
Humphrys could, of course, have turned the tables on Harman or put her on the back foot – possibly using the notorious BBC all-purpose allegation/question of “some say” – by bringing up the tangled history of the NCCL’s involvement with the Paedophile Information Exchange while Harriet was NCCL’s general secretary. Humphrys declined the opportunity and this star reporter on his 6-figure salary kept strictly to the BBC/Labour agenda (taught I presume at the BBC College of Churnalism) and asked Harriet boringly predictable questions and, guess what, got boringly predictable answers in return.

in today’s Mailonline concerning a[nother?] paedophile the BBC covered up for up till the late 60’s, according to John Simpson’s 1998 autobiography.

“He had been asked to write an obituary for the presenter and was given the details of the abuse by a female colleague of the star, who he referred to as ‘Auntie Gladys’.

He said she referred to the man as ‘an evil old b******’ and added: ‘I hope he died in agony.”

BBC haters will of course seize on this as another example of the innate corruption of the state owned public broadcaster and how, if it disappeared tomorrow it would not be a day to soon.

Others may point out that, if what Simpson says is true, it occurred while the BBC was an institution deservedly revered as a bastion of truth and integrity.

They will also note that John Simpson is a much maligned figure here at B-BBC, which to this BBC bias hater and BBC lover has always been somewhat perplexing.

According to the Mail Online’s report, Simpson stated that the (alleged) paedophile in question died in 1967. A Google produced . Whether it has any bearing or not on John Simpson’s allegations, only he can say.

I`ll come back and post the links to the resulting chaos ….. A lot of peole have forgotten the BBC employed another DJ … Jonathan King and also didn`t Micheal (Owns a pool but Can`t swim) Barrymore start out originally as a presenter on a BBC Childrens programme??? I think we should compile a complete list of all BBC ex-employees who have been the subject of child sex allegations whilst employed or since they were employed…. Once we have a substantial amount of peodo presenters we can post them all over the BBC media sites….. Hopefully others here will help out by giving names or by posting the listings…… The only criteria is that ALL those named must have been either convicted or died before they were found out…..

What evidence do you have for saying that Michael Barrymore is a pedophile?

      • Justin Casey says:

        `Evidence`??? Okay then…. For a start ….
Following a party in the early hours of 31 March 2001, a 31-year-old man, Stuart Lubbock, died after three witnesses – including Barrymore himself – claimed to have found him motionless in Barrymore’s swimming pool. All charges were dropped when it later came to court, though witnesses could not agree on whether he was found floating on top of the pool or at the bottom of it, Barrymore had said he was top of the pool. The cause of death was found to be drowning. Lubbock, described as a “bubbly partygoer”, had traces of drugs and alcohol in his system. Pathologists discovered severe anal injuries, although not until the post mortem had taken place; which the media said were consistent with a sexual assault.
Soon afterwards he fled to New Zealand via Thailand (hmmm…)
He was employed by the BBC `Mick And Mac` was a children’s sketch series which aired on BBC1 in the United Kingdom. Each week the show had a different theme. (hmm..) In 2001 he appeared as `himself` in `Big Brother’s Little Brother` (I didn`t want to look into the exact details of these appearances, the title alone told me all I needed to know..) He also played the bad guy in Aladdin (nuff said!!) He presented a show titled `Kids Say the Funniest Things` from December 1998 to 1 October 2000. A third series was recorded in 2001, but never aired because of the revelations surrounding Stuart Lubbock’s death at Barrymore’s home….. Look… I could go on… but I think I`ve made my point, obviously a dude who invites people back to his house and then along with his `homies` sexually assaults a fan they lured there with enough ferocity that he asphixiated and induced a full prolapse is still a sexual predator and a deviant.. Why are you even questioning his inclusion in my BBC Nonce list?? Just accept that Barrymore has `form`… I read somewhere that after Lubbuck stopped breathing they spent the next half an hour fighting each other to give him the `Kiss of life` which failed anyway as they couldn`t resist slipping the victim `a bit of tongue` during the process…. What`s the problem are you his P.R. or something???

The latest theory on the cause of homosexuality is exposure to hormones in utero. Research shows there are neurological differences, including a difference in the structure of the hypothalamus, between homosexual and heterosexual males.

There is no evidence of societal causes of homosexuality.

To my mind its patently obvious that a lot of homosexuals are born that way.

At the same time there’s a lot of evidence that ‘environmental influences’ (if we can call them that, I think ‘societal’ is a poor term) are a factor, childhood abuse being a key factor.

It is of course patently absurd to lump Michael Barrymore into the paedophile mix. There is not a trace of evidence. This, I think, is the problem, when someone is motivated more by hatred of the BBC than hatred of BBC bias.

Interesting theory Nicked emus… However, having read your post I immediately used googles` search engine and after some very thorough investigative journalism that would make even the BBCs` Stacey Dooley look sub standard… I also posted various questions on yahoo answers regarding the sexually deviant culture within the BBC. I also asked some of my friends who I know from the BBC Facebook groups I comment on, and they basically told me that one of the main reasons BBC like to overpower and brutally rape those weaker than themselves is becouse they are sexual predators with deviant urges. I accept that there are people who are not employed by the BBC who are homosexuals and do not indulge in raping of anyone…. But i know for a fact that they became homosexual mainly becouse they loved getting thier backdoors kicked in… Or becouse they are rug munchers. This kinda blows your theory about the causes of homosexuality being exposure to hormones in utero. Yes there are neurological differences involved when comparing a homosexuals` mind with heterosexuals… These differences are not in the hypothalmus, most gay men have wider rectums, damaged kidneys and like to go to leather bars to pick up men who want a moustache ride…. Lesbians are different, although some (Sandy Toksvig) also sport a moustache and can also look quite masculine it isn`t usually intentional, she is just ugly and dresses like a man. BTW did you check out the link i posted earlier with the Barrymore Bio on it???

-Ah, but INBBC doesn’t tell us that this JIHAD attempt relates to a MUSLIM’s activities and his ISLAMIC beliefs.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-19985987

‘Jihadwatch’ has this headline on it:-

“New York: Muslim arrested in plot on Fed came from Bangladesh on student visa to launch jihad terror attack and ‘destroy America'”

    [Opening excerpt]:

“There is, of course, no screening whatsoever of young Muslims who come here on student visas. Even to attempt to determine if they have jihadist sympathies, which would be well-nigh impossible in any case, although those with actual ties to jihad groups could at least be kept out, would be ‘Islamophobic.’ And so we will see more people like Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis.”

    Bird MIGRATION, and human IMMIGRATION.

I have been reminded over the past few days, watching thousands of (I think) pink-footed geese flying into England in impressive formations, that these are migrants, which will depart for Greenland and points north next April. There are not immigrants.

In contrast, people who BBC-NUJ describes as ‘migrants’ to Britain from e.g. Asia and Africa, are not migrants who may return from whence they came e,g. next April; they are immigrants, who get here easily in large numbers every year and colonise this land.

To Old Bill and Nicked emus…. I am only posting information I have found elsewhere…. such as at this URL

    http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Michael_Barrymore

Where I found this particular `passage` …… Barrymore was quoted as saying “Well it was a complete accident I’m not a strong swimmer and got into a bit of a panic. On top of this it was dark and I had chlorine in my eyes. He happened to be wearing bright orange trunks and in my confused state I mistook him for an armband. Could of happened to anyone.” soon after he was found guilty.

It also has a section under the subheading `Trivia` … Don`t worry … I`ve copy/pasta`d the stuff that you can pass on to his `briefs` (sorry mybad)

Michael Barrymore’s house doesn’t have a single ashtray in it, because he puts his fags out in the pool.

Barrymore’s chosen weapon is a 3 foot long, black, rubber, double ended dildo named “Mr. Thrashlord”.

In a series of tests it emerged that the Titanic was actually sunk with a right hook from Mr Barrymore. Until then the almighty power of his fist hadn’t been officially confirmed.

See? It clearly states a `disclaimer` on that last one…. Sort of like when although he owned his own swimming pool he was nervous going in it as he couldn`t swim….

Classic comrade mason on newsnight tonight.

Article about new nationalist party of Greece golden dawn.

Apparently according to political commissar Mason a theatre was attacked by fascists for staging a ‘play’

What he didnt say was the play was called corpus Christie and portrayed Jesus and his apostles as gay.
The previous night orthodox bishops tried to close the show because it was blasphemous , this wasn’t mentioned by Mason.

He then had talking heads on prattling on about Greek democracy. What democracy when puppets are imposed by Brussels?

    What a bloody liar.

They kept on showing sympathetic graffiti in English which supported the left. Funny eh?

Consider my piss well an truely boiled.

p.s. imagine if you tried to show a play in tripoli or Cairo which showed Mohamed as a gay

Golden Dawn is a ‘nationalist’ party.

I think its something a lot more than that.

Mason is a commie and he shouldn’t be working for the BBC, but regardless of what the play was about, if a bunch of Nazi thugs launched a violent attack against it, this is what happened.

HP my point here is not whether GD is fascist or not , my point is rather why did mason hold back salient facts

The fact that senior religious had complained. The fact that the play was deliberately trying to provoke by showing Jesus as gay does not permit GD to attack it however it does explain their motives and puts the incident into proper context.
As for the police pandering to the baser instincts of the populous by rounding up illegals , surely at a time of record high unemployment any sensible government should ensure proper immigration controls allowing the maximum jobs for its citizens.

Violence by black shirted thugs should always be condemned but Mason ET al demonising ordinary citizens legitimate views on immigration just drives the dissaffected into the arms of nationalist/fascists. It is just the sought of thoughtless ‘nothing to see here move along” journalism that radicalises and splits the population.

Denying the Paedophilia by Muslim gangs in the northwest only pushes more towards the BNP.

Journalism should try to project the truth so difficult issues can be confronted not brushed under the carpet.

Mason seems unable to understand that by denying any problem with the imposed Brussels puppet government by ignoring the populous you are feeding the extremists.

I accept your broad point and am glad your able to address a criticism without taking offence and becoming abusive as is not uncommon here.

I’ll take your word on the overall coverage of Mason. If the BBC is going to employ communists this is the coverage we’re going to get.

To draw a parallel though to explain why I took issue referring to the patently Nazi GD merely as ‘nationalists’, its rather like saying Mason is ‘centre-left’.

It arouses suspicions if one downplays evil, which you thankfully have largely allayed.

I tend to agree the pertinent sentence is ‘What he didnt say was the play was called corpus Christie and portrayed Jesus and his apostles as gay.’
All things considered, in a ‘report’ on such a ‘story’, rather an extraordinary omission.
Well for any ‘news’ entity that does not operate a force-funded system of propaganda backed by censorship.
This does of course have historical precedent. Not in a good way.

Back from my Barcelona Beano (runner up… but had a hoot anyway), and to see the BBC is up to its old tricks. As are its faithful followers, whose irony bypasses appear now to extend to keeping coming here to a free niche forum to get offended and tease ‘you lots’ (self-excluded, presumably) sharing examples of a £4Bpa, 24/7, multi-platform media monopoly misleading the public compelled to fund it.
You really can’t get better satire, so it is good to return.
And also discover the great British tradition of double standards, as the usual self-appointed thread on-topic moderator suddenly finds himself more than happy to indulge vast tangential diatribes on the apparent specialist subject of genetic based sexual predilictions.
Possibly motivated by a sense that this is an area of safety (if irrelevance, but hey, whatever floats your obsessions) within reach of the bunker should the BBC hand over another gem he and his fellow flockers don’t fancy.
As they say in Spain, ‘plus ca change…’.

Paul Mason’s latest report for Newsnight was a classic out of his bottom lefthand drawer of student politics.

Heavy on symptoms, light on cause.

Just as my early 1980s leftie student mates had an exaggerated interest in the activities of extreme right groups, so Mason focuses on the scary right in Greece.

‘It’s like the conditions in the Wiemar Republic!’

No chance of Mason’s report being spiked by his BBC boses. No need for Georgie Porgie to have a quick side bar with Hugs Boaden.

‘So Helen, what’s in Brer Mason’s report on Greece?’

‘George! You know you don’t ask what’s in Newsnight reports’.

‘Well, so long as he doesn’t say anything that goes against the grain of the rest of our output. So long as he doesn’t question Greece staying in the Euro or question the ineviatbility of immigration’.

‘George! This is Paul Mason we are talking about!’
