NICK CLEGG …VISIONARY

I suppose it is akin to kicking a ball into an open net really. The BBC has been salivating over the “bravery” shown by Clegg as he challenges the drugs laws and suggests that decriminalising some drugs might be a good idea. I wonder WHY the BBC find this such a welcome line of political thought…sniff….

Whilst I work a full time tax paying job, I also work for a charity thats feeds the homeless/ disadvantged. We have a number of heroin users and their lives are miserable, they tell me its the worst thing they ever did take Heroin. Loosening the grip on drugs would only get more people hooked with tax payers footing the bill for the harm that they cause. If you really want to free up drugs then you should legalise the supply , but put very high excise duties on them plus VAT so at least the goverment would get some money in to help pay for the harm

In fairness, it is fairly brave – there’s no telling what you could catch when Evan Davies gives you a tongue bath.

For the full effect you have to remember that we have people on one side of the BBC News office looking forward to the day when you can buy crack over the counter, while on the other side of the office, they’re busy putting together a package hyping new research claiming that salt, soft drinks and everything else in the world should be banned because it causes cancer/obesity/global warming.
