Well here is PressTV and the ‘Islamic Human Rights Commission’ spelling it out for you:
The BBC is independent and impartial…isn’t it?
I imagine the BBC hierarchy will be mortified…after all that appeasement of Iran and Muslims in general this is how they repay that fawning sycophancy.
Mortified? Hardly. This is just fantastic evidence to them that they “get complaints from both sides”, proof positive of the BBC’s balance and impartiality. So they can carry on producing falsehoods, publishing fake photos, keeping someone who holds a personal grudge against Israel as their Middle East editor, and acting as if 1967 is Year Zero, all while feeling fully confident that they “get it about right”.
Blimey – difficult to know what to make of that. The description of the organisation and financing of the BBC is factual, albeit missing out EU finance. But there were no examples of the “corruption and scandals that are tarnishing its reputation”. Political differences aside, I would have thought the Saville business was a scandal that could be quoted, but maybe child molestation is a bit too close to home for some of the people who might like to watch Press TV? The examples about Palestine and Gaza were tedious, nothing more than a dig at all those JOOZE who control everything at the BBC and ensure our TVs give us all that pro-Israeli propaganda 24 hours a day. Not.
And the cost of the World Service is being absorbed by the BBC soon, if the process isn’t already underway. The whole point of this was about pro-Israel bias, which I suppose is somehow supposed to square with UK government interests.
Also, I think there was less moaning about the omnipotence of the Jewish Lobby than we hear from BBC staff themselves.
