BBC reporting a horrendous terrorist attack in Boston. This is breaking news and it will be interesting to see how the BBC covers it as I suspect this is a Jihad attack.
something is not right about the media coverage of this bomb outrage in boston.what odds they will blame it on some imaginary far right group when it has a the hallmarks of an al qaeda attack,i smell a big cover here.
i am listening to boston radio now,,,and they are saying a person of interest is being interviewed by the boston police tonight comrades.,,,.no he is not nick griffin of the bnp,,,.no he is not tommy robinson of the edl,,,,yes he is a saudi national who was seen acting in a suspicious manner near to the bombing and was tackled by a bystander then arrested,,,also,,latest news is the boston police are looking for a dark skinned foreign national who was seen running away after the expolsion….need i say anymore comrades.
Too early to tell. Many signs point in the direction of “men”, of course, but the last few media incidents indicate that it’s all a mess, lots of people reporting and collecting info at cross purposes, and we won’t really know what’s what for at least 36 hours. Mainstream media can’t even agree on how many people were actually killed yet, and they’re all friends and drinking buddies and share info at the end of the day, after each individual intrepid journalist has gotten his or her own report out. So we wait and see.
Plenty of time to bust the Beeboids for bias without giving defenders of the indefensible fodder to copy and paste for later.
By accepting and using the euphemism “men” for folks of an certain “peaceful” religion that originated somewhere east of here, then the fact that there is disingenuous double talk at a particular British Broadcasting Corporation is confirmed.
It so sad that people of any persuasion should resort to such evil is beyond me. My heart goes out to all of the victims in Boston. It is a wonderful city.
Condolences to those who have been affected by this outrage. People will have their ideas on who is responsible but it is still too early to say. On the BBC website, some helpful information about the marathon is offered, including: “A Kenyan or Ethiopian man has won the Boston Marathon 23 times in the last 25 years”. Will that be down to the training facilities in those countries then? Surely there can’t be some racial or evolutionary characteristic that makes East Africans such superb athletes (race is only a social construct, right?). Wasn’t Obama’s father a Kenyan? Does this mean Obama could win the marathon (he can walk on water)? Either way, this event clearly isn’t very diverse if it’s dominated by only one group. A bit like terrorism itself for that matter.
Would the bbc dare to give us information that the Boston Marathon is always held on or around April 19 — Patriots Day. And what is that about? It celebrates the beginning of freedom from the evil British oppressors who wanted to collect taxes without representation, etc. So al-beeb, in the interests of good journalism — tell your audience.
So David Vance knows more than anyone else about the sad cases behind this attack. Most people wait for some confirmation before making accusations. Not bias to be objective.
BBC ….”Which is why it might have tragically been such an attractive target for terror”.
All news channels are using the word terror and terrorism. Had this been in Israel would the T word have been used?
I don’t think so and certainly not from the BBC who would have used a lot of words justifying the terrorist.. whoops militant attack..
The inbbc is currently holding back its lexicon of deceipt until they are forced to use it.
IF the perpetrators turn out to be inspired by the religion of peace, and please note I emphasize IF, only then will the inbbc turn on its use of the terms radical, extreme, and even conservative to deceive their audience.
sorry colditz but its about time you took off your rose tinted glasses and looked around you.
This will only get worse its about time we became more aggressive towards these people and either bring back hanging or prison for life. We in the west are too soft our morals get in the way are they bothered about killing innocent people or putting arms in mosques or in schools.
Mark Mardell pops up on BBC 10 o’Clock News and on Newsnight to tell us not very much. Although he made one reference to ‘Islamists’ it was quite obvious by his tone and emphasis that our Mark’s money was on ‘home grown’ ‘extreme right-wing’ terrorists. This he backed up with a reference to ‘security chatter’. We will wait and see.
I was uncomfortable with his report. To me the mutiple events and targeting has all of the feel of an Islamist attack. If we really don’t know then Mark please don’t speculate at all. But I’m just an amateur not a MSM journo. And I’m not a BBC sponsored Obama propagandist. We will wait and see.
Hours following a pair of blasts at the Boston Marathon that left 2 dead and up to 100 wounded according to reports, a chief doctor at the hospital where many of the patients are being treated credited Israelis with teaching his team how to respond to such disastrous attacks.
“About two years ago in actual fact we asked the Israelis to come across and they helped us set up our disaster team so that we could respond in this kind of manner,” said Alastair Conn, Chief of Emergency Services at Massachusetts General Hospital, responding to a question about the preparedness of his staff to handle trauma on this scale.
Earlier in the interview Conn was asked, “Would you characterize these as almost something you would see in a military setting?”
“Oh absolutely, absolutely this is like a bomb explosion that we hear about in the news in Baghdad, or Israel or some other tragic place in the world,” he responded.
The doctor updated reporters on the horrific nature of the injuries sustained by the victims and the steps his team was taking to treat them.
It is news, and clearly needs reporting.
But until anything concrete is known, speculation serves little save to fill the 24/7 ‘news’ void with whatiffery.
As of this moment, no one has a clue, and beyond sympathies to victims I’m hard pressed to see any value in guesses as to who responsible or why.
Felt sorry for Minister just now forced to guarantee London Marathon will be safe; what else could he say when cornered by the talking head seeking other avenues of ratings anxiety?
almost comical to hear the biased bunch dancing around the possibility it might be a Moslem, one of the laugh out loud funniest I’ve heard was it didn’t seem like an ‘Islamist’ attack as there were no bits of suicide bomber to pick up, therefore it was unlikely to be them !
The last time the bBC invited the US ambassador onto question time they were forced to issue a grovelling apology after stuffing the audience full of hostile loony lefties !
Seconded.
That the thread author has made a leap on culprits I find premature, but no different to as much, or worse across the MSM. For them to justify… on any threads initiated.
And as a matter of precedent, if the notion is no atrocity should see a forum opened to discuss it or aspects of coverage, that appears censorious at best. Along with the logic of contributing to a thread solely decrying its existence (and, one presumes any… others… participating).
So an explanation would help clarify.
There have been a number of inexplicable witness accounts coming out of the USA following incidents like these. In the so called Batman cinema massacre there were witness reports of multiple gunmen, all hushed up until there was just one.
In the case of the Anders Breivik shootings again there were more than one witness reports of multiple shooters the witnesses silenced after a short while.
And now there’s some Saudi suspect (how do they know he’s a Saudi national) who seems to have disappeared from the news and Police radar.
I wonder if we are going to hear about him again?
I hope that right now they are too busy waterboarding the savage to update the press release….
They can testify in court they were just treating his multiple burns and it was the quickest way of doing it…
I don`t think it will be an `actual` Saudi though as they are known to be too lazy to physically do anything that involves getting off thier ar$e$ and doesn`t involve sex…
Well I sincerely enjoyed reading it. This post offered by you is very constructive for accurate planning. .See

Must be him then – nobody in their right mind would do that.
At the moment we know absolutely nothing. If we start ranting about “men” and it turns out to be some lone nutter, we’re no better than the BBC.

There are reports this might be similar with the foiled London Marathon attempt.

Except history somewhat goes against that notion as 99% of terrorist attacks throughout the world are derived from Islamic sources.
Even in the US the vast majority of terrorist attacks have been by Islamists – The Nation of Islam being the prime source.
So, chances are against it being the Republicans don’t you think?

Hey, colditz, it’s a shame you don’t want to hold the BBC to the same standard.

Yes, let’s leave it to censoring, ‘politically correct’ BBC-NUJ to decide what we are allowed to know.
