    There was an interesting interview on our BBC Stoke local radio yesterday. Between your standard BBC interviewer and it might have been Owen Jones or possibly the local Labour MP, I missed the intro.
    Part of the discussion centered around Bet365 and its boss/owner Denise Coates and a forthcoming set of staff redundancies. She is possibly worth £8 Billion which was reason enough for the interviewed man to have a go, “she doesn’t pay enough tax” etc, “she earns too much”.

    The BBC man suggested that Stoke should be grateful for the employment she gives the people of Stoke, our Lefties counters and says, ‘No Denise Coates should be grateful to her employees for making so much money for her.’ An interesting reversal and a great insight into the minds of the Left. Even our BBC man was struggling. What our Leftie fails to comprehend is Denise could set up her operation in tax free Dubai or elsewhere and without her hard work and enterprise there would be no Bet365 at all.

    Although I am defending Denise Coates I absolutely detest betting and am sorry she couldn’t have employed her talents doing something more useful. She has however set up the Denise Coates charitable Foundation which is a major donor to various national and local charities.
