      My first thought.
The similarity in expression is uncanny.
Evidently a happy place to be.

And that will be the closet the Welsh git will ever get to being PM.

Mind you, I think even if he was offered the job, I don’t think he could afford the pay cut, with or with +11% rise.

The other day I wrote that there would not be a nose hair left in place as the assembled statespersonhood of the world ensured they struck the right teary-eyed pose for the probing telephotos the other side of the stadium.
      Boy, was I wrong.
That the merry jape has involved one who can do no wrong in the eyes of the MSM perhaps explaining why coverage has been muted and more explanatory than defamatory.
One just has to wonder if, in the darkest recesses of what remains of their objective, professional integrity, the odd journalist feels a twinge of guilt as to what may explain this.

It has been suggested this image may inspire a classic 3-intersecting circle Venn diagram of BBC outrage.
Any area with the US President included will be devoted to his playful side, even when including the British PM.
However, those involving Mr. Cameron & the Nordic bombshell will crank up the #outrageometer big time, with him alone getting to at least a 13.
Critics would be saying…. for weeks.

Yes that would be why she put her arm out and pulled the PM in on the picture ?? jezzus the guy cannot even find his arse with both hands and a hunting dog and yet he can manipulate world leaders to do his bidding ?

She has both hands on the camera in that pic. She did not pull him in. Has she got a third invisible arm or something?

Seriously? It’s so cool they need to talk about it on Today? There really is no end to their worship of The Obamessiah. And of course they had to find an angle to attack Cameron. From the other side of the political spectrum, some on the Rightosphere were pointing at a later picture as evidence that the First Lady made Him switch seats with her so He couldn’t cuddle up to the blonde. I didn’t see it that way, as it seemed pretty clear that Schmidt and Call Me Dave had moved elsewhere after their no-class act, although it’s unclear why the President switched seats even then. But it shows you how the BBC is – as usual – approaching something so simple and so subjective from the opposite perspective. From the Left.

If Cameron had done this with any Republican President, or just some other less-worshiped leader, the BBC’s tone about the whole incident would be decidedly harsher on him.

As a connysewer of subtle understatement that has to be savoured to be truly appreciated.

    Dopey bird question here!
When did a memorial service ever precede the funeral and committal itself?

    • Buggy says:

It’s a very good question actually.

I ask this: Seeing as we’ve had ‘highlights’ of the lying-in-state this evening on a main channel (BBCs 3 & 4 are showing respectively : a vital repeat of Saturday evening crapfest ‘Atlantis’ and ‘World News Tonight’. Since Auntie is of the opinion that there is presently no news BUT the continuing adventures of ‘Madiba’ why couldn’t it be on one of those ? And you’d have thought they’d want as few people to see ‘Craplantis’ as possible, not give an extra opportunity for accidental viewing to those who ran out of the room with their hands over their ears shouting “La-la-la” as soon as the titles came up somehow missed it the first time).

Anyway: surely that’s what those pricey red button channels are for ? And especially since they’ve now launched HD versions of both with self-regarding fanfares to match.
