I think it was obvious that the BBC giving Miliband a prime time slot on Desert Island Discs was intended to improve his desultory image with the Public….they now seem to have admitted this was the case…..
This was also the year that Ed Miliband appeared on Desert Island Discs and Deborah Mattinson believes that, in general, the Labour leader’s image among the public is improving, albeit from a relatively low base.
Miliband was also given a slot and a free ride on watchdog..
Spoon fed questions by Anne Robinson about his big idea of freezing energy prices!! A new experience for Ms. Robinson who would have normally have torn the those interviewed to shreds . No wonder Miliband was grinning from ear to ear.
I should have complained but what’s the point.?
Obvious comment coming up;

Also, Ed Balls was given a free slot on the BBC website to counter the media response to his red-faced splutterings during the Autumn statement.
Balls just dug himself into a deeper hole it didn’t quite go to plan.
