The Bridge Over The River Kok

'Slope slur': Jeremy Clarkson, pictured during the series finale of Top Gear with costar Richard Hammond, has found himself at the centre of an alleged racism row following a comment he made during their Burma two-part special

Top Gear went to Burma looking for the River Kwai but ended up up the River Kok without a bridge…so they built one….and Clarkson made his comment about the bridge having a slope…and all hell broke loose….well a few determined-to-be-offended liberals mobilised Twitter.

Just as well Clarkson wasn’t in London then….who knows what he would have said about this…..

The English didn't think this through very well.

At least there’s someone with a sense of humour, something that the uptight liberal thought police seem to have mislaid.

It passed me by. I thought the bridge was a considerable feat and looked very dangerous. It did have a tilt to one side or a slope( actually a more precise word here) or what ever you call a surface that is not level.
Who are these people? These liberals? Where do they find them?
Pod central. Broadcasting House. London. Brighton. Liberal Democrat conferences. Any university.
No wonder Putin laughs at us. With people like these liberals Russia could take Europe with a couple of divisions.
Only problem the Russians would not be able to stand the whining moaning liberal intelligentsia.
Might be a good thing though Putin could send them to Siberia.

Where do the left get these Muppets from?…..Hope not Hate of course…..

The Daily Mirror fund these people to patrol the Internet allegedly as “Anti Fascists” stirring up problems where-ever they are able….

Hope Not Hates “leading lights” are convicted wife beater Nick Lowles, former N.F. and C18 neo Nazi Matthew Collins who “grassed up” all of his former Nazi mates to Searchlight/Hope not Hate, and finally, a bloke called Simon Cressey that has to constantly reinvent himself on the Internet because his lies are that of legend in connection with anyone that he opposes…

However, to the BBC these Comrades are stand up citizens, as there has been several occasions over the years that the BBC have employed the wife beating Nick Lowles especially, to oversee Panorama programmes and allege information that usually turns out to be wrong….

The BBC feminist brigade have ben complaining-surprise- that there are not enough women on Top Gear.
So how about they redo this entertaining and clearly dangerous and gruelling series with three female drivers?

Anybody ever seen a woman bin “man”-or operative even?
Maybe somebody`s got one-but, as yet I`ve never seen one.
Or am I being Harmanist here?( no jokes about who looks after the PIEs though)

On something entirely different. I see serial Armed Forces hater and terrorist supporters, Public Interest Lawyers (Phil Shiner Cherie Blairs old partner in crime ) finally admitted there was no evidence of abuse by the British Armed Forces against Iraqi insurgents (terrorists to you and me). It only took these charlatans 5 years to admit it at a cost of £22 Million. They must have finally decided they couldn’t string this pantomime on any further and had to just take the money they had made and cut their losses. I hope the UK Government will now pursue the lawyers for the money.

Phil Shiner: ‘We torture people, yet no one admits it’. Looks like no-one can prove it especially you!

Love this bit from Mirror article:

Top Gear executive producer Andy Wilman commented: “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

I just think these leftie pressure groups are full of deeply unhappy people. They hate their lives and join these ridiculous causes to make themselves feel like they are doing something and spread their misery.

Well, no-one in this household had ever heard of the term “slope” meaning anything other than, well, slope, or incline.

Now our eyes have been opened, and we look for slopes everywhere not that there are many (thankfully) in this part of rural France.

Well done, leftards – I think you’ve shot yourselves in both feet, again.

I was wondering what the insult was myself! I still can’t work it out and as usual it shows the lefties out to be the real bigots as they know all the insults and effectively advertise them

As I pointed out on another thread ‘slope’ is a derogatory word for South East Asians, in the US, armed forces, from the fifties and sixties. No one I know uses this term and I know a number of Korean War veterans.

There is an outside chance that Clarkson said this deliberately but I seriously doubt it.

This comes from sad little lefties trawling the programme for offence in order to get Top Gear off the air. Their right wrists must be very sore today.

Of course Clarkson knew what he said, re the slope. But so what? It’s funny. The PC police would rather we lost our sense of humour completely and humour is often about word play. The sensibilities of others have always been open to amusement – including us. But the lefties have definitely exposed themselves here if Clarkson and co maintain they are unaware of the word slope. Seems to me, the lefties have exposed a bit of a chink in their armour.

I didn’t get it as I didn’t know that use of the word slope. Now, if he’d said there was a tie loose, I’d have got that.

Just learned of another “dodgy” word via the Daily Mail:
    “Jigaboo”

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2586461/Case-racist-Scrabble-board-BBC-forced-apologise-flashing-offensive-word-episode-Jonathan-Creek.html

Never heard of it, but have added it to my vocabulary, for possible use later.
