Pallywood?

Don’t know about you but I’d drop my phone if I’d been shot and fallen to the ground….especially if I’d been shot not once but three times, apparently.  Having said that her indoors probably would cling on to hers hell or high water.

The BBC has remarkably played it cool with this video which claims to be of a Palestinian out looking for his lost family when he was allegedly shot by an Israeli sniper in the hip…he is then shot twice more…apparently in the chest…which would be most likely if he were to be shot again. However there is no sign of any injury to the chest and the hip injury is conveniently on the other side of the camera, a camera fortuitously on hand, provided by the International Solidarity Movement…otherwise known as Palsolidarity.org…..

The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land using nonviolent, direct-action methods and principles.

Wonder if that ‘commitment to resisting the Israeli occupation’ could include a bit of play acting? Remarkably not only does the man cling on to his phone but he is seen checking it immediately after being shot….and he is still moving after the third shot.

The ISM claims the ‘body’ is still out there in the rubble…After Salem was murdered, the rescue team was unable to recover his body, which like so many others, remains among the rubble….so they obviously didn’t check to see if he was still alive…as he was definitely moving…they just left him.  With no body of course there is conveniently no need to show where the bullets hit…much like the vanished ‘body’ of Muhammed al durah.

As for an Israeli sniper…who says it was?  Where’s the proof?  Where are the wounds and where are the soldiers?  The shots sounded very close…have to be a brave sniper team to be infiltrating a Hamas held area to get that close.

Why shoot someone who is obviously with a film crew from some form of activist group in their hi-viz vests?

I’m sure the poor guy really was shot but with no visible sign of injury, no body, the background of the film makers and the unlikelihood that an Israeli ‘sniper’ would target him so openly the authenticity of this video should be questioned.

Finally if even the BBC is reluctant to go with this there must be a high degree of doubt….not something either the Telegraph, Mail or Mirror seem concerned about as they splash it over their websites.

One up for the BBC then.

    Points I picked up:
    1) Why was he targeted with 3 rounds while wearing. Green top, and on the ground , when 3 men wearing bright yellow were stood feet away

    2) Where was the gunman, reason I say that is because the only direct line of sight is behind the men in yellow, or behind the camera man. The rest is blocked off by high buildings.

    3) We hear the audible wang of the working parts of a weapon moving forward, but no bang. So is that meant to represent the sound of a sniper rifle with a silencer . The thing is if a sniper allows you to hear his working parts, he is a very poor sniper

    4) 3 rounds on 1 target. Err I don’t think so. 1 round is all you need, also, by firing more than once you give your postion away.

    5) 3 rounds on 1 target , err I don’t think so, as a dead man is a dead man, a wounded man takes up the time of at least 2 people and will require 4 to move him.

    6) shooting somebody on the ground from a distance is bloody good shooting, far easier to shoot somebody standing up

    7) people who have been shot tend to hold and fiver their wounds not their mobile phones.

Sorry just watched the video again there are three distinct cracks, which could be construed as gun shots, but as somebody who has been firing weapons for donkey’s years ( included getting shot at) I still find that film clip hard to accept, why? No echo. There are high buildings all around, people shouting have an echo, but a gun shot doesn’t .
Also why are people crossing open but broken ground, when only minutes before they are walking in a clear road.

Oops, no complaint, editor, I caught the wrong button so there’s nothing to look into, sorry. Now I’ll type my comment.

Having watched the video in addition to Pounce’s comments I have learned something new. When standing within spitting distance of somebody who is coming under sniper fire whatever else you do, just stand there without bothering to take cover. Further to that, standing in the open and fully exposed if you have a camera keeping filming is far more important then trying to help a person who has been shot especially if that person is somebody on your own side of a battle, just leave him there to get shot again, oh, and then again.
Obviously getting good propaganda pictures is far more important than trying to save somebody’s life so using women and children as human shields for weapons for propaganda purposes is obviously good for business.

It’s obviously a fake. After the final ‘fatal’ shot he’s still waving his arm about and clutching his phone. Maybe it’s the latest model and he doesn’t want to scratch it.

    So, being generous, jury’s out?
Given the entire MSM seems convinced, from the off (Missus showed it to me on the DM site, with the equivocations and caveats on provenance waaaay down, so I told her to proceed to outrage with caution), but a few legitimate concerns have been raised, any chance of those serving propaganda functions getting a smidgen of professional pride and integrity and following up?
Or easier and better to see that one travel the world unchecked too?

    Total garbage / propaganda
    – At 2:00 the green shirt is on the LHS of the camera
    – At 2:30, the sound of a shot and green shirt runs past the camera
    – Footage is cut/edited
    – At 2:24 the guy is lying several yards away, relaxed position, behind some pipes / cables
    – first thing the shot man does is check his phone
    – Throughout, but especially at 2:50 as the guy ‘dies’ there are 3-4 people in fluorescent jackets standing around curiously watching while sniper is allegedly targeting the area

These have the same mindset as the “peaceniks” of CND whose idea of peace was the end of NATO nuclear weapons and subjugation by the USSR with their nuclear weapons intact. Not actually peace but a terror state was their aim.

Only partly. Chamberlain thought he would be able to keep “England” going the same way as it had since 1918. These people actually wanted to change Britain to a vassal of the USSR. These new Israelophobes also want to change their country and the world to a horrible dictatorship.

Funny how they always demonstrated outside the American Embassy but never the French Embassy, who had a fully independent nuclear arsenal.
Of course, they never ever said a thing about their USSR sponsor’s massive Nuclear Arsenal or demonstrated outside that particular embassy.
Not that I would ever suggest that their objections to nuclear weapons were either politically motivated or highly selective.

Solidarity with rocket-firing terrorists? How about Solidarity with democratic Israel’s right to defend itself against a terror organisation hell bent on its destruction?
You know why they site photographers in Pally hospitals don’t you. Because the mainstream lefty media (that’s all of them) lap up the pictures of accidentally injured children and beam them around the world. I don’t blame them for trying it on. I blame our news media for recycling obvious propaganda as actual news.

seemed fishy when I saw this on Ch 4 news the other night and some woman was saying how it was some sort of tipping point in the war when people see the brutality or some such rubbish. They never investigate the PR tricks used by Hamas when it is clear for all to see eg human shields and firing rockets from hospitals but then again the left have never been very smart even though they think they are

It finally seems Israel are ignoring the usual lies spouted by the MSM in the West and are just going for Hamas and I say good luck to them

    • Anat T. says:

Yes, it certainly seems that Israel is ignoring Doucet and her ilk.

This is because the media matter only as far as they influence governments, and this time they don’t.
Europe keeps more or less quiet, Obama has been nicely manoeuvred (well done, Bibi), and, most importantly, almost all Arab countries are against Hamas.

Believe it or not, but at this moment our bestest friend is Egypt. Their ‘peace offer’ is the only one on the table, and they are going to get the US to withdraw its objection to the present regime and renew the aid (well done, Sisi).

      • John Andersn says:

It seems there is far more unity within Israel than on previous occasions ? From here, it is absolutely apparent that there is an existential threat against Israel, Hamas wants the Jews swept away entirely.

This time round, the threat of Hamas rockets is far wider geographically. And the scale of the tunnel-building is now being shown to be fearsome, it was essential to attack this terrorism rats-nest.

Plus – this time round there have been some flashes of sanity among the leaders of the Western world – Canada in particular, but also strong statements against Hamas by the UK, France, Germany, Australia – and even Obama and Kerry. Even the SecGen of the UN has been explicit in criticising Hamas, contradicting the leftie media like the BBC. The media /propaganda war has been less pro-Palestinian this time round.

Fortuitously the Ukraine plane tragedy has pushed Gaza out of the headlines somewhat, so there has not been the usual daily top headlines inciting against Israel.

And finally, there may be a wider realisation that Hamas is imbued with the same level of irrational hatred as other Islamic terrorist groupings which have caused so much carnage in recent years.

Unfortunately no-one told the Biased BBC and lefty MSM that all sensible people understand when being bombarded by 10,000 missiles a country has a right and a duty to defend itself, so the public never hears anything but condemnation. The question is – how can an organisation as Biased as the BBC take £6 Billion of taxpayer funds and pretend to deliver “news”?

My red flag went up when I heard that the International Solidarity Movement was involved. Catron, is not a disinterested observer, but a radical anti-Israel activist and Iranian PressTV regular. The Daily Mail certainly failed in its journalistic duty by not informing the readers that the source is in no way neutral.

However, this is BiasedBBC If al-Beeb did not spread this video either because of doubts about its veracity or laziness, why are we talking about it, here, on Biased BBC?

I agree. We have to restrict ourselves to the BBC and, where necessary, also mention true news that the BBC have omitted.

There is no point in citing the lies of other media. The BBC have enough of their own. Also, the demand for impartial reporting applies only to the BBC, on grounds of its charter.

At this moment, Sky and CNN are actually worse, but this is not the place for it.

Israeli snipers use 7.62 rounds and as anyone who has seen the effect of one of these on the human body will know you fall like a rag doll no grip no control and deff no hanging on to your phone plus IDF snipers like all western snipers are trained to shoot for the head, one round one kill! anything else would be stupid and possibly suicidal to the sniper ! The only other round would be 5.56 and even that would put you down very effectively but you would have to be very close well below 200 mtrs so where are the pictures of IDF infantry that close to these events ? come on all those phones all those observers just itching to out the evil oppressors and not one piccy of the bad man !

Good photo of scene….nobody seems too concerned about taking cover as a man feet from them is repeatedly shot by ‘ruthless’ sniper….they just want to take film and photos.

Signs of injury? Genuine sniper bullet would be heavy calibre and tear victim apart…especially with three shots.

‘Victim’ had originally been standing to left of video man who is behind pile of rubble and metal rods..how did man shot in hip manage to move to his present location?

The shot must have come from the area directly in front of the person taking this still photo…therefore the follow on shots would also have come from there…but that would mean the shots had to dodge over the rubble and would have hit him in the right of his chest…..clearly from the film this wasn’t the case.

Just a couple things here people.

Snipers are trained to hit the centre mass of their target, which is the chest cavity for a soldier. Invariably a hit in this region with a sniper calibre weapon will be terminal!

Secondly the entry wound of a 7.62 caliber weapon is surprisingly small. It’s the exit wound which is large!

Also check out the geezer on the stretcher at the start of the video. He looked surprisingly, well, healthy!

Finally I’m just wondering when green helmet guy will make an appearance? 🙂

      Regards

Can`t think of any other possible reason why all the shite spouting from Gaza-Doucet, Bowen etc-is so ham fisted(can we say that?).
Even a Community College Media Studies course could do a better job of cut and pasting a few minutes of PLO Propaganda than the useless gulled BBC.
Still-Kirsty Wark got put in her place on a few occasions on Newstripe last night…Martin Iryuk (was it) took her facile comments to pieces, and her Blathering Janet PLO rentaquotes got flung back at her repeatedly.
