ROGER HARRABIN

I caught Biased BBC favourite Roger Harrabin on the PM programme on BBC Radio 4 late this afternoon. He was telling us that fracking is the road to nowhere but wind power is the future. Nothing changes…..

A plank is useful, you can do things and makes things with a plank. Mr Harrabin is none of those things.

Meanwhile at 21.13 this evening our wonderful wind farms were only producing 1.17 GW out of a demand of 34.02GW

      Oh Dear.
      How sad.

Thanks for that link, Forester126; it’s really interesting and the perfect illustration about the ineffectiveness of wind power.

They should remove subsidies from both, and see what is the most cost effective for the customer.

But then the correlations and profits from the American experience already prove that Harrabin is as brainless a moron when it comes to fuel policy, as he is when it comes to atmospheric physics or solar astronomy.

I understand that a lot of these Wind Turbines are being destroyed by fire.

I guess by either overworked dynamos, incendiary bullets or the Fred Dibnah method.

What has come about with the BBC’s policy of not using non-scientists to present scientific ideas? i.e. Lord Lawson.

Horror-bin (according to Wiki) “… studied English at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge….”

    Sauce for the goose…..

You are all being too kind. Harrabin is a dangerous idiot. Dangerous because he is in a position to inflict his idiocy on many people at the expense of the licence fee payer.

The problem is that anyone with intelligence such as Johnny Ball or David Bellamy , has or is sacked by the BBC. So there is no one at the BBC with the brains to solve the problem.

The first act in any future solution to the problems at the BBC, would be for someone like Christopher Booker or Andrew Montford to be appointed head of the BBC Trust.

The problem is that only one Labour MP, and about three or four Tory MP,s have the brains to do anything about it, and UKIP MEP’s are as powerless a minority as Mensa members are, when it comes to sorting out the BBC cess pit.

I would like to see Harrabin et al remain at the BBC for some time following the arrival of some fresh, intelligent and objective reporters with a science background. They would then, by direct comparison, be revealed in all their idiocy for the world to see.

Harrabin, in his dotage and dogmatism, still represents Beeboid political policy against global warming scepticism, and against natural gas development.

How long will it be before D.G Hall issues diktat that any defence of fracking will not be broadcast by BBC?
