Hamas’ Tunnel Rugrats

Journal of Palestine Studies still shows report in search engine.

The BBC loves images and heart wrenching tales of children suffering….if caused by Israelis….the guiding principle for any BBC journo is that tears of a child say more than words ever can. Here the BBC examines the suffering of children in Gaza and Syria:  Children in conflict

What they don’t tell us is this remarkable statistic:

‘At least 160 children died digging tunnels for Hamas’

Use of child labor not stopped by police in Gaza, where children’s “nimble bodies” help dig the tunnels that lead into Israel and Egypt.

Hamas used children to help them dig numerous tunnels into Israel and Egypt, a 2012 paper written for the Journal of Palestine Studies reported. The paper, titled Gaza’s Tunnel Phenomenon: The Unintended Dynamics of Israel’s Siege says that little had been done to stop the phenomenon of child labor during the digging of the tunnels by Hamas in Gaza. In December 2011, the paper’s author Nicolas Pelham accompanied a police patrol in Gaza and reported that “nothing was done to impede the use of children in the tunnels, where, much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies.”

The report miraculously vanished from the fervently pro-Palestinian ‘Institute for Palestinian Studies’ site but has since made a reappearance:

Gaza’s Tunnel Phenomenon: The Unintended Dynamics of Israel’s Siege

A similarly cavalier approach to child labor and tunnel fatalities damaged the movement’s standing with human-rights groups, despite government assurances dating back to 2008 that it was considering curbs. During a police patrol that the author was permitted to accompany in December 2011, nothing was done to impede the use of children in the tunnels, where, much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies. At least 160 children have been killed in the tunnels, according to Hamas officials.

My word, it’s almost as if Hamas is a deranged terrorist organisation which could not care less what happens to men, women and children so long as it can continue its futile and disastrous rocket and tunnel campaign against Israel. Can that be true? I had understood from the BBC that it is a sort of Islamic self help organisation, like the Rotary Club. Can I have been misled?

You’ve got it all wrong about the BBC.
Just read this cogent article on the lunatic left Indymedia site, and admire the skills of the ‘artists’

The fact that deranged leftists do not think the BBC is sufficiently deranged and/or leftist proves nothing.

“A 7.30 this morning the BBC’s building in cargo st suffered a graffiti attack by supporters of the Palestinian people. unfortunatley they were interupted by heavy handed security, one of whom was shouting about terrorist.
On arrival of police one the graffiti artists got away, unfortunatley the other was arrested has now on bail charged with criminal damage, harsh bail terms were given this includes not entering cardiff.”

Where are Nat (hope her Dad is recovering well) and Albaman in stout defence when their red pencils are so desperately required?
That security guard shouting ‘Terrorist!’ will also be in for a serious talking to on appropriate use of terminology.
Maybe George Galloway can be brought in to advise on who may or may not enter which cities in the UK now?

    Certainly Today, today.
On their FaceBook feed, with all going on in the world, it appears they feel it best to remain, and focus on…. Gaza.
Seems two thousand souls died. No mention of tunnels. And they are chatting to a UK Doctor (possibly not from Glasgow) about it all.
Seems there remains no other news.
Oh, sorry… Yes there is. Seems there is a trend for intimate gigs in people’s homes in Berlin. Huge.

Yesterday I heard the BBC referring to parts of Iraq occupied by ISIS as the ‘Islamic State’ Just helping in the propaganda war. Perhaps Bradford will be declared part of it soon.

Another method which is being used is to refer to ISIS not as ISIS but simply as The IS thereby intentionally giving their claim to the creation of a de facto new Islamic State a greater appearance of legitimacy.

The BBC are ever willing to be played as fools – the footsoldiers of Islam’s unofficial Useful Idiot Brigade (UK division). I’ve heard quisling news announcers several times using the term ‘Islamic State’ (often qualified with ‘formerly ISIS’).

Why can’t they just tell it how it is: ‘armed, murderous, brutal, criminal gangs of Islamic terrorists’.

Or do the BBC consider they’ve ‘got it about right’?

Soon Cameron will be negotiating with ISIS, seeking their recognition, status in the UN, and who knows one of their ‘moderate’ spokespersons appearing on Question Time cheered by a hand picked audience of Kenneth Loach’s Jew hating Left Unity Party. But so far Left Unity, along with the anarchists and Trots, are united in their claim that the BBC is run by right wing Jews.

    From Indymedia:
The BBC have shown which side they are on when reporting on the Palestinian issue. They do not even have the balls to comfirm that a graffiti happened this morning.

Support for Palestine will continue in many ways, direct action is just one of them.

Defeating Israel one character at a time

There are many egregious omissions in BBC reporting but even Biased BBC will forgive them not mentioning graffiti on a wall.

    This presents a worthy complement:
    http://www.thecommentator.com/article/5154/hamas_tells_truths_about_itself_western_media_won_t
‘The Hamas handbook also teaches Palestinians how to play the Western media. Boy, how it has succeeded – the truth about Hamas sometimes emerges from the hidden tunnels in which the terrorist group has concealed it.’
And, apparently, with near zero persuasion.

Hamas wants to make sure that from now on there’ll be no reports coming out after journalists left Gaza to contradict their agenda. They need journalists they can trust to remain silent, like the BBC, and not go revealing the truth once they’ve gone.
Hamas to foreign journalists: You must hold press cards
      By KHALED ABU TOAMEH
Hamas on Sunday issued new directives requiring foreign journalists who work in the Gaza Strip to hold press cards issued by its press office.

Hamas said that the new directives were aimed at “facilitating and organizing the mission of our foreign colleagues.”

It warned that journalists who fail to comply would be held legally accountable and would not be permitted to work in the Gaza Strip.

“Any journalist who does not carry this card will be held legally accountable and could be prevented from practicing his work,” the press office said.

The journalists are required to provide Hamas’s press office with information about their Palestinian translators and guarantors, as well as the address where they intend to stay during their visit to the Gaza Strip.

Honest Reporting has this report today concerning the tunnel diggers:
According to Israeli media reports, Hamas executed dozens of it own tunnel diggers in recent weeks, “fearing the workers would reveal the site locations to Israel.” Other diggers were executed immediately after the completion of their tunnel.

    Point of Information.
The bird image used to illustrate the Institute for Palestine Studies is a common motif in Philistine art. Some claim it represents the Pleiades constellation.

The Philistines had disappeared from history by the 5th century B.C, There are many theories about their origin, most assuming an Aegean origin, There is zero evidence, other than the similar name that they had anything to do with the modern group calling themselves Palestinians. It is a sign of the level of scholarship of this institute that they have chosen it as their logo.
