WEEKEND OPEN THREAD

I have been away and been very busy so hence lack of activity here! Anyhow, here’s a thread for the weekend. Wonder if the BBC have discovered that it was a Muslim that cut the pensioners head off in London?  They seem more concerned about the CAT.

    BBC.

You can see who’s side they support. Certainly not national security. Calais aspiring immigrants. Why now called migrants?

Isn’t it strange that whenever the BBC cover this, on TV or radio, they:

      1. Always manage to find a ‘migrant’ who is able to justify his lust for life on Treasure Island e.g. (from one broadcast alone this week): ‘Britain was a colonial power in my country so I am owed this’ and ‘I can’t speak French, only English, so why should I stay in France?’

      2. Never ask ‘What are the EU doing about it?’ because, clearly, it is an EU problem. Coverage is always slyly angled towards it being the UK’s problem if not, in fact, the UK’s fault – so it’s always about what the UK border agency is going to do, or what Cameron is going to do.

Yes, I heard this on R4 too. I think the BBC slipped up a bit with this interview. The would- be immigrant initially mentioned “getting a house” and other benefits as his reasons for wanting to come to Britain. He seemed then to realise he was being too honest and began to spout the more BBC-FRIENDLY reasons you mention. The French mayor of Calais simply said GB benefits are better than anywhere in Europe and that is why “asylum seekers” flock there in their thousands. Why she thought it was the British government’s job to control French borders is beyond me.

Does anyone ever listen to the lamentably awful
“Any Questions” on R4? Unwisely, I switched on tonight and quickly switched off again, the emetic effect was so great. Some vacuous woman MP was claiming that “bombing IS would be counterproductive”.
What is that supposed to mean? Of course, on the question of removing passports from Jihadists Dimbleby pipes up presenting himself as the British voice of patrician reasonableness, defending British values etc. claiming that Britain making true-born British Jihadists stateless would encourage the Chinese to make dissidents stateless. It seems to have escaped his notice that the Chinese do this anyway.
Even more hilariously, he claimed that if other states followed the British proposal and made their citizens stateless we would not be able to repatriate undesirables.

Since when has the GB government repatriated anybody stateless or not?

As BBC-NUJ should know, but is silent about-

“POLITICAL CORRECTNESS HAS LET DOWN THOSE MOST VULNERABLE TO ABUSE”

    By Paul Nuttall, UKIP.

    http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/09/05/Political-Correctness-Has-Let-Down-Those-Most-Vulnerable-to-Abuse

    UKIP has rightly said this.

But Tories, Lib Dems, Labour, BBC. Channel 4, Independent, etc, are nowhere to be heard in any self criticism on this.

So the tragic political errors of Rotherham will be repeated.

It had to happen! BBC’s Look North reporting from Rotherham about how the Muslim community fear a “backlash” over the grooming scandal. Their Pakistani “Communities Reporter” interviewing a number of Pakistanis who all profess ignorance that the sexual exploitation of under-age white girls was happening under their very noses. They were “Shocked “- Shocked I tell you -when they discovered what was happening. Usual BBC practice of making the Muslim community into victims. That the practice of grooming young white girls is actively encouraged by the “community” elders – admitted by a number of Pakistani youths I spoke with when they used to hang around Sheffield’s Pond Street Bus Station back in the 1990s – and has been known about around Sheffield for the past thirty or so years, gives the lie to the BBC report. Probably the practice runs in families, being passed from father to son down the generations. It also proves the BBC lie in that sexual grooming by Muslims has occurred in all British cities with a large Pakistani/Kashmiri/Bangladeshi population. For these people to profess ignorance is unbelievable and lacks credibility. Taqqiya is alive and well in the BBC’s Look North studios.

And you can see that it wasn’t talent and being able to speak easily to the camera that fulfilled the Look North Communities reporter’s qualification for employment with the BBC. It seems the only qualification, apart from your political viewpoint, is having a darker skin colour than the majority of Yorkshire born people.

Expect a lot of innocent blood. Me, I wonder how the left and Islamic world will cover this.

Scottish Labour MP woman interviewed today about the independence vote. She claims the ‘Yes’ campaign’s figures for welfare don’t stack up so ‘the Scottish people’ would be much better off ‘social justice’ wise under a UK Labour government.

Somewhere, in an alternative Broadcasting House in an alternative universe far, far away, a ‘News Quiz’ scriptwriter is rubbing his hands with glee, salivating over the prospect of teasing out the irony from that little economic gem with 5 minutes of savage, right-wing satire.

Today’s Jeremy Vine show debated the Barbican ‘art installation’ that has black people shackled inside a cage.

Those defending tell us it’s all about our colonial past and shameful enslavement of the African people.

Those against it scream racism and say we should be more respectful because of our colonial past and shameful enslavement of the African people.

In other words, a nice open door presented by the BBC for two sets of leftie obsessives to push against in the same ideological direction i.e. slave traders and owners were only ever white Europeans/Americans and slaves were only ever black Africans – that is the history of slavery as understood in modern Britain, shamelessly encouraged by the national broadcasting behemoth which seeks to ‘educate and inform’.

I have had the misfortune to watch a recording of Castle in the Sky, well the first hour or so,I couldn’t last the course such was the stupidity and misrepresentation of the programme. I know that with Mr Izzard as the star it was unlikely to be anything notable but I just can’t believe that even the BBC managed to make such a silly programme about such a seminal chapter in British history. To portray Mr Watson Watt as a renegade scientist of poor background at odds with the whole scientific establishment forced to scrimp along with a collection of chicken wire and old batteries is complete rubbish. To further introduce an overwhelming sense of class warfare, ‘its the poor oppressed workers who saved us’, was just ridiculous . What could have been a good story was reduced to leftist propaganda rubbish. My God you can’t trust the BBC to do anything well these days, they simply can’t stop themselves introducing their leftist propaganda into the history of Britain and distorting the truth. Why oh why do I have to pay these idiots to do untold damage to my country year after year. I despise them beyond words.

At least it served to inspire me to read up on what really happened, and it seems to have been more U-571 with fewer laughs and more underpants.

A shame, as the story of the science was pretty interesting, but the attempt to ladle in some feisty drama and personal anguish to perk up the plot came across as a series of afterthoughts. Missus happy. Missus not happy. Missus mopes. Missus leaves letter. No more missus.

I also tend to feel sorry for real people assigned ‘baddie’ roles in such ‘inspired by’ tales. Certainly the a Prof. came across as a tash-twirler to rival Dick Dastardly. Was he really like that? And why the end scene booted out the plotting room? Did that happen? He was knighted by a grateful nation and given a very nifty stipend for his vast contribution. That doesn’t smack of used, abused and discarded.

A fair enough low key tale, but as education and information I told my kids to read elsewhere. But then again, that is SOP with anything the BBC broadcasts.

Anybody seen this bBC video (which has had top spot for a few days now) showing the devastation in Gaza.
Gaza conflict: Drone footage reveals extent of damage
“In Gaza, families are slowing returning to their homes, but for many they will find them razed to the ground. Drone footage reveals the extent of damage to Gaza City caused by the recent conflict with Israeli that lasted 50 days, until a ceasefire was brokered.”

I’m sure a lot of people will have thought: “God how widespread is the damage across Gaza, those Jews are fucking evil”

Now watch it again, Notice something, Its the same area just from different angles. Things to notice, building with 2 green Hamas flags, big white rectangular building , bomb crater with water in it.

Once you work that out, you realise that actually the area isn’t that large and that by looking at the horizon, you notice one thing, they never give you a view looking west with Israel behind you and towards the sea.
Could it be , that , that view would expose the lie that is….Pallywood?

This must fall under the ‘RTs not endorsements; views own’ cloak of deniability the BBC issues its staff to confer immunity from responsibility.

Seems rather a direct claim for a BBC member of staff to stick in print even so.

And playing the BBC game of semantics, is he saying few (unspecified… classic BBC ‘there are those who say’ for ‘no one but me’) have made that claim, or proudly doing so from a position of not many.

Whichever way, he seems to have taken leave of his senses. Hope there are no cats in the neighbourhood.

I agree there is some concern in the distractions that can come from the sofa set, but them’s the breaks when you are obliged to serve all as one.

A bit more interesting is how the more serious ones lower down the totem get treated… and dismissed.

I might also add that the BBC of course controls what the BBC says the BBC gets complained to about. So just about anything could be what they choose to make it, or not.

And even if an independent inquiry asked to see the raw data there’d be a queue of FOI lawyers on overtime around W1A to say why that is not for seeing.

BBC News TV channel a few minutes ago. Reporting on a claim from a political analyst in the region, that a ceasefire had been broken, immediately leapt in to say that the report was from someone associated with the armed forces the BBC was reporting about, that the claim had not been corroborated by other sources, and certainly not by any independent source, etc., etc., obviously inferring that any such information, from any such source, had to be treated as unreliable, and potentially suspect.

The analyst in question happened to be a Ukrainian, who was being associated by the BBC (based on who knows what sources for that information) with the Ukrainian government forces. But it does not matter who this ‘analyst’ was, the question I have is quite simple….

If the BBC can cast all these doubts on this particular source of information, why is it that during all the reports I saw from Gaza earlier this year (and in all previous Israel/Gaza conflicts that I can remember), I never once heard anything like that litany of cautionary caveats concerning information actually being given to the BBC directly by Hamas government representatives.

    BBC = Bias By Concealment.

The comments above re Jon Donnison calling Joan Rivers a racist are particularly amusing today, when the BBC once again indulged its favourite pastime of casual racism.

In the 7am Today headlines, we yet again had race highlighted in one story, but another another, when it might properly have been mentioned in neither or both. Thus, 5 men (4 black, one Hispanic, we are told) are to get loads of compo for being falsely accused of raping a woman (white, we are told) in Central Park [why is this US story even making our news headlines at all????]. Meanwhile a “man” has been charged and will appear in court today accused of the beheading in London. End of story. No mention that the alleged attacker is black. No mention that he is (apparently) a muslim convert. No mention that the victim was white.

Now, this all happens in the same two minute news headlines slot. Why raise race in one case but not another? Why is race only ever raised on the BBC if it portrays black people as victims? Race is totally uni-directional on the BBC and is abused to create and maintain a sense of victim-hood and grievance amongst minority communities, and a sense of guilt and shame amongst the majority white community. If that is not racist, I don’t know what is.

And if anyone needs other examples, look no further than Ferguson – the classic “unarmedblackteenager” shot by “whitepoliceman”, reported at the same time and in the same bulletins as totally colourless beheadings in the Middle East, despite a reversed black perpetrator/white victim.

    The BBC is institutionally racist.

When did the BBC ever give us the story of a ‘white’ woman who was raped by ‘hispanics’ or ‘White’ policeman who was gunned down by a ‘black’ drug addict does this never happen in america?
Or perhaps more pertinently the case of a group of white college students who had their lives ruined by being falsely accused of raping a black woman, which did.

In the case of the Rotherham rape Jihad have they not told repeatedly (ad nauseum in fact) that it is the crime that matters and not race of the offenders or their victims and that it is time to move on?

I had a quick look on the net to see if I could see some details on the beheading atrocity. The BBc web page is running the (not very) informative “A man accused over the suspected beheading of a grandmother in north London has been remanded in custody” So we are still sticking with it’s those men again.
In between F1 which they are actually showing live I had the misfortune to watch the great British bake off an extra slice, Is the over the top canned laughter ironic or what? The usual, well 2 out of 3, special guests who are only there to take the money and I suspect not pass on their baking skills. I say suspect because I turned over. Still another chance for the BBc to put on Shappi as funny as an acid enema Khorsandi. The TV is now on ITV 4 and Aias Smith & Jones (The western not the British comedy) whilst dire, I used to like this when it was first on, is a work of pure genius compared to Bakeoff another slice.

so its not a hate crime then lol. It might be, just like it might be kids doing what kids do, or a targeted attack by ET just before he launches an invasion of planet earth.

Dont the BBC just love making out that muslims are the victims all the time. Judging by past incidents similar to this, there’s also the possibility this may be insurance fraud by the muslim community centre. I wonder why the bbc dont mention that.

When it is done by a “British national” you know he’s from foreign lands given indefinite right to stay (and benefits) by the spineless diversity-trained goons in Theresa May’s Home Office (saves legal costs, you see).

When it appears on “regional news” pages you know the BBC is hiding it.

When they big-up a trivial story you know its a distraction strategy to keep the real stories out of sight.

BBC Radio Manchester News reports that there’s an anti austerity march in Manchester today organised by Unison regarding the 60,000 public sector job losses in the North West since 2010. Kevin Nelson, Unison’s general secretary seriously said this, ‘we need to address this problem because we see the consequences of cuts in Rochdale and earlier this week in Rotherham and the underlying factor in a lot of these social problems … is that the funding is simply not there.’ There was plenty of funding when it was going on and you fuckers turned a blind eye. A blatant, unchallenged, untruth but the message was nevertheless delivered to BBC Manchester’s bovine listeners. See, it woz da cutz that led to Rotherdale. I see a theme developing, just in time for next years general election – Tory cutz led to mosquito rape gangs. 1997-2010 (when most of it was going on) seem to have been consigned down the memory hole.
This was followed by yet more al beeb propagandising on behalf of illegal immigrants in Calais. Taking care to describe them as ‘migrants’ they are subject to French ‘police brutality’. No evidence, naturally. There follows an interview with a Sudanese man whose whole family was ‘murdered’. A rather extraordinary segment if the same I heard.

The intro by the moppet was as predictable a set up as could be imagined, with lots of dour emoting by her, and much anguished vox popping from curiously well-briefed chaps who had come so far to now be surprised at how poorly their demands to be supported were being currently met. BBC on the case pronto!

Humph was deranged. He simply could not envisage any scenario where it was little to do with the British as we had, for once, seen what was coming and not signed up to it. So having dodged the bullet it was up to us to step back in the firing line be unsure, well, the French though we should… to be fair. This logic of shared anguish was redolent of that of Mishal Husain in apparently feeling switching off Iron Dome every other day would provide her with acceptably balanced death tallies. Not too sure what they put in the Today coffee, but it is a bitter and twisted brew.

And had to love Humph’s genius solution…. More civil servants. He seriously suggested further battalions were dispatched to convince these aspiring benefits tourists to simply go home. If a UKIPper had said that it would have been outrage at dawn all week.

Still, one law for the BBC, a whole raft they approve of for the rest of us, eh?

Arsonists set fire to bus at Newton Heath Islamic centre
Arsonists set fire to a minibus belonging to a Muslim community centre in what police believe was a “targeted hate crime”.Officers were called to The Islamic Centre in Newton Heath, Manchester, at about 01:20 BST.Two men dressed in black were seen running from the scene.

And here is how Manchester police report the above:
Appeal for witnesses following arson attack at Islamic Centre
Police are appealing for witnesses after an arson attack at an Islamic Centre in Newton Heath.

At around 11.25pm on Friday 5th September 2014, Police were called to The Islamic Centre, Regent Street, Newton Heath after reports of two men stealing CCTV cameras. Officers attended and found that two CCTV cameras had been ripped from front of the building. The two offenders were described as black men, wearing black clothes and scarves covering their faces…In the early hours of Saturday 6th September, at around 1.20am, Police were again called to the Islamic Centre after reports that a minibus was on fire.

Officers attended to find that the Islamic Centre’s minibus had been set alight deliberately. Two men, again dressed in black clothing, were seen running from the scene. Inspector Chris Hadfield said: “We believe the two incidents are linked and that the theft of the CCTV cameras was meant to help them carry out their arson attack on the minibus without being recorded.

I’m sorry but the fact that this was well planned (removal of TV cameras) tells me, that there is more to this story. Now your average thug doesn’t give a shit about being caught on camera. Add the fact that the guilty men were black . Could it be that these are Islamic idiots wanting to promote the Islamic victimhood angle in which get disfranchised Muslims to fill their ranks.

For the bBBC the most important news this evening was that some trades unionists have walked from Darlington to London because they want a state monopoly in the NHS. Including lots of jobs for their members, of course. They were allowed to peddle their marxist propaganda without any thought of what the NHS is for and what’s best for the patients. Typical public-sector UNISON drones. Typical bBBC.

Walking is a far faster way of getting from Darlington to London than was taking the train in those glory days of BR that no doubt constitute the ‘Back to the 70’s’ wet dreams of these over-publicised fools.

The anti-British Broadcasting Corporation will be ecstatic that Salmond’s promise of a marxist state, funded by fruit from the magic money tree, is proving irresistible and the people living in Scotland may well vote to pull the plug.
Quite why they are being allowed to destroy my country – the United Kingdom – is a key question but at least, without Scotland, we wouldn’t have many Labour governments in future, so there is a bright side.

It is no small satisfaction to me that if Scots make the terrible mistake of voting for an SNP-run Scottish independence they will fully deserve their fate at the hands of The Dear Leader Chairman Salmond and his Comintern of Comrades.

I do hope the Scots see sense before the September 18th. There’s still time to avoid a disaster for Scotland!

Up until this last week I haven’t been seriously worried that there might be a yes vote. That has all changed very suddenly in the last few days with a yes head of steam rapidly building. In my neck of the woods at least all I see are yes posters and campaigners with the no side having apparently given up. Very worrying, frankly.

Roland – everybody seems to be assuming that a ‘yes’ vote would lead to independence, but would it? Negotiations would be long and tedious, presumably the EU would have to be involved (it’s involved in everything else) and I suspect that the whole venture would stall and collapse under the huge weight of the problems arising.

            Just a thought.

I think it’s quite possible, particularly if it was a very close “Yes” vote. I confess that would sit uneasy with me, because it would be blocking a democratic decision, even if I disagree with it. On the other hand 51:49 is no basis to rip up a centuries-old union, and the inevitable practical problems arising may cause people to think again.

It would be the ultimate irony if the EU causes so many problems in negotiations that they forced us to vote again to get the answer I want.

Scotland is about to enter the realm of the unreal. The whole independence issue has that air about it.
I suppose the Scots are no more exempt from fantasy than the rest of us. Very sad to think that the Union could end after so long.
The liberal is by nature well disposed to this. Nurtured in an unreal world Scottish independence is yet another of the liberal’s dreams.
What is of concern is that if a no vote then an element in Scotland will regard the vote as illegitimate and turn to other meansand try to make sure Scotland is ungovernable. There seems to be real anti English feeling there now.
Liberalism is always close to violence despite it’s protestations.

Reminds me of when I lived in South America and was chatting to some guys from Guyana; they were telling me that when British Guiana voted for independence, and got it, everyone was ecstatic and when the actual day arrived they partied for several days. After a few WEEKS when things started to ‘not work’ and after a few months pretty much all institutions were not fit for function they started asking “When di Queen comi’ back?”. In the event of a YES vote I am sure Scotland will survive but they are cutting off their nose to site their face. The main benefit for England is 40 Labour MPs less at a single stroke.

I find it a bit upsetting that all the parties are bending over themselves to give the Scots even more powers if they vote NO. Surely someone should consult the poor English tax payer before deciding on this. I want to keep the union, but we need to tell our cold weather friends that they cant have something for nothing. As for the Scot MPs in Westminster voting on English issues, you can forget that one in future whatever the outcome.

She was introduced as a Palestinian performing artist and a human rights activist . But you can imagine the often repeated slander and lies against Israel on this programme (See BBCwatch .org) as the BBC did not tell you that she works for the PACBI and campaigns for the dismantling of the Jewish State as well as being one of the prominent lunatics BDS (Boycott ,Divestment and Sanctions) activist against Israel . Beware the Tedd Petruna AirTran Flight 297 hoax email which is doing the rounds.

It’s very relevant to us because it’s an allegation that a group of Muslims acting very strangely on a plane were asked to get off after what appears to be a terrorist dry run.
The reports at the time talked about one man only being removed, and then being allowed back on again at which point several other passengers opted not to fly with him.

Do not believe the hoax, even though it is plausible and the kind of thing the media might well do to protect the brown eyed boys.

Are you confused by what is going on in the Middle East?

Are you confused by what is going on in the Middle East? Let me explain. We support the Iraqi government in the fight against ISIS.We don’t like ISIS, but ISIS is supported by Saudi Arabia who we do like. We don’t like Assad in Syria. We support the fight against him, but ISIS is also fighting against him. We don’t like Iran, but Iran supports the Iraqi government in its fight against ISIS. So some of our friends support our enemies, some enemies are now our friends, and some of our enemies are fighting against our other enemies, who we want to lose, but we don’t want our enemies who are fighting our enemies to win. If the people we want to defeat are defeated, they could be replaced by people we like even less. And all this was started by us invading a country to drive out terrorists who were not actually there until we went in to drive them out. It’s quite simple, really.

    Do you understand now? :-\
