START THE WEEK OPEN THREAD

The BBC never fails to disappoint. I caught BBC radio 4 “Today” mocking the Conservative’s claims regarding Labour’s budget busting spending plans should they get back into power; then turned on BBC1 News to hear them give weird Ed Miliband a chance to rubbish the Conservatives. Not a sniff of bias there, no sirree. Anyway here is a NEW Open Thread.

Beeboid mentality ; r 5 running up to 1pm, story about a ‘charity worker’ just back from Liberia telling about coming across a village with loads of very young children, no women and just one man. Story being one man had died of Ebola, the women washed him before burial therefore catching and dying from the disease. And the men where are the men ? ” oh the men are out in the fields or have just left, in their culture it is not seen as a mans role to look after young children, we had to look after them” Note, no follow up on the rights and wrongs of this culture, imagine white men in the UK ” just left” would the beeb be so quiet about their culture then ? No probably not. Black African culture trumps care of babies and young motherless children.
After that, right on to Ched Evans ( cont) running through the twitter abuse that the IT company which is one of the Oldham sponsors has got since it said it would support a man having the right to work ( brave company). And then having a little speech ( read out by an actress ) from the anonymous woman who started the petition against him signing for Oldham, the same woman who started the campaign against him playing for Sheffield Utd.
The woman’s identity had been hidden to ‘protect her from the abuse she has had ‘. Usual anti male hate and bile spewing from her mouth. Headlines at one, including calls for annominity from MP told he would not be charged with rape by police, no comment from beeboids about connection between him and others like him and the women whose identity they ‘protect’ who is running a campaign against a man trying to gain employment.

I sucessfully avoided BBC TV over the Christmas period but I have since learnt that the BBC repeated 62% of its TV programs (BBC one and two) again. A Daily Mail letter writer said that he had made a written complaint to the BBC back in 1993 (direct to Alan Yentob – then controller of BBC 1). Yentob’s reply was one of complete agreement and said ‘… but I can assure you I shall be trying to change this emphasis in future years’. Well since that time – nothing has changed at all. One could rightly assume that the BBC would offer a 38% refund for all those TV repeats that the TV license payer had already ‘paid-for’ since 1993. A ‘pro-rata’ reduction in the license fee is required.

But we know the BBC only too well. We know damn well the TV license fee does not go on any new TV programming but on it’s own corporate news bias and agenda. Proof (as if any were needed is missing from this online article but was in the printed edition) made by the BBC only last month 22nd December – by John Whittingdale (at the same time his step brother was arrested for historic sexual abuses much like the BBC itself. Whittingdales sales pitch to Westminster foreign office (link below) – confirmed that the BBC TV license fee was indeed being used to finance a propaganda war against China and Russia’s ‘propaganda’ wars and they (BBC) need more money to fund it. The BBC ‘Panto-season’ to extract more money from its critics at Westminster and silencing those already investigating where the last lot of money went. The BBC never shy of using every means to promote itself as the international ‘voice of reason’ (eh?), of political impartiality (cough) and value-for-money (joking). Its a BBC repeat of course, we’ve heard it all before… (John Whittingdale panic button pressed). No doubt a future BBC trustee in the making is Whittingdale..

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2884515/World-Service-outgunned-Russians-Chinese-Senior-MP-warns-cuts-mean-Britain-failing-counter-biased-information-superpowers.html

And what happens to the money at the BBC? Has there ever been a time that the BBC had its public accounts in order?, its a notoriously failed public utility/quango (that nobody cares for), its Royal ‘charter’ failures are never highlighted, its lack of patriotic values are bare. Its time to take stock. By next May, the UK will be £1,500 billion in debt.
AND the BBC don’t want any Cuts!

For every £5 the government collects on our UK taxes it spends £4 on servicing that debt. Financially we could be worse off than Greece. We spend £55 billion on interest alone. The BBC peddles World propaganda to third world states that already recieve our UK money as ‘aid’ (Pakistan et al). More ‘immigration’ to England is assured under BBC schemes than anything else.
The cost of massive immigration to the UK (disputed as always by the BBC): ‘Immigrants have cost the tax payer over £140 billion since 1995’ is not propaganda it is the truth of the matter and the BBC hides that fact. Any BBC request for more money should always be NO more! We need our country back from the brink.

The A& E crisis has been all over the BBC today. Whether its Radio 2, Radio 4 or 5Live, its the horror story of the day. Only 92.6% of patients are seen withn 4 hours! Good grief! Oh the humanity! Wait though, doesn’t that mean that more than 9 out of 10 ARE seen within the target time? Not exactly a crisis of epic proportions is it? Yet to judge by the BBC’s take on it, you would think that bus loads of patients are bleeding to death in the waiting area and that people in their droves are expiring in ambulances waiting to be seen to, while armies of drunk roam around the wards wasting nurse’s time. Clearly time for some social engineering. Bring on some doctors and nurses to pin the blame on Coalition cuts and old people refusing to die soon enough. Oh and Andy Burnham of course; can’t do without his input can we? Any mention of 5 million immigrants having some impact is quickly glossed over of course. “Tune in tomorrow for another labour party broadcast – and don’t forget to pay your licence fee”

IS are now becoming the ‘acceptable face’ of terrorism in the Beebs eyes. Why?

          1. They have brought stability to Iraq and Syria where Americkar failed.

          2. Yes, IS have had to make tough choices, but they are self-reliant and not influenced by Americkar.

          3. They do not shoot unarmed and innocent black teenagers. And there is no record of them ever having done so.

          4. Their flag is sooo black and sooo now. Wouldn’t it be rather super to have one of their guys over for wine and you know, an open floor discussion with an input session of outcomes? Oh, yes…

          5. Their ethnicity is sooo vibrant.

In this case, an ill informed inappropriately educated sophist spinning a dehumanising postmodernist yarn (intentional or unintentional sophist, I know not), funded by state enforced public funding. This article exemplifies such a phenomenon, frequently observed on the BBC outlets.

I get both angry and tired of reading BBC, Guardian and Independent reports that associate anti-Islamic protests with the ‘far-right’ and ‘nazis’ … Nazi, like ‘racist’, is becoming almost meaningless because of the left’s gratuitous bandying about of it; the left have hijacked this word to silence those who have opposite views.
Okay, there might be a few hooligans at the protests looking for a fight but what about the swaggering western Muslim who can stand in the middle of the street shouting ‘behead those who insult Islam without so much as a whimper from the left? Muslims can say and do anything they like without any criticism; in fact, they get the red carpet treatment.
Anyone who can’t see what the Marxists are doing here is beyond salvation; they’re wiping out Christianity in order to make way for the Islamic ideology.

Lazy thinking by our commentators in particular. Dresden is the major city of the old east and knows well what it was like to suffer authoritarian rule. Cologne is near the western border and a very different place.
It looks obvious to me that the people of Dresden do not want to follow in the path of the cities of the western part of Germany ( Berlin as always goes it’s own way.)
Maybe the people who suffered under the Stasi and the Communist party just have no interntion of allowing anything like Sharia in their territory. Seems logical to me and I wonder why no BBC/liberal commentatator makes this point. I suppose they are too young to have realised that Germany was once a split nation and not a bit like today’s country..
One further point. I doubt the average BBC/liberal realises that Sharia is a complete sytem and embraces political as well as religious life. The Dresdeners know this and want to stay as they are. The liberal is really dumb sometimes.

The political ‘left’ in Germany (and beyond, including Beeboids), aided and abetted by islamic interests, seem to spot and be prepared to violently oppose what they call their putative crime of ‘ISLAMOPHOBIA,’ with considerable ease.

But, they are never able to detect ‘ISLAMOFASCISM.’

The political ‘left’s line in this is quite tribal, and does not address the demographic, cultural and security trends on the impact of continuing mass immigration on indigenous European people.

Gloucester has its own ‘richness and diversity’, e.g. Tredworth and the famous Barton Street, but it’s less hideously white than, say, nearby Cheltenham. It may just be a coincidence that it is, relatively speaking, a marginal seat between Tory and Labour: Tory since 2010 (majority < 2,500) and 1970-1997, Labour 1945-70 and 1997-2010. In Cheltenham it's Lib-Dem (since 1992) v Tory.

If you were Labour leader and the Tories had managed to steer the debate onto the economy, not exactly your strongest suit, then what subject would you choose?

The problem is that it doesn’t matter what subject important to voters Labour choose, they’ve screwed up on such a colossal scale on all of them that it’s impossible to choose a safe one.

According to UKpolling these are the most important issues for voters in order

      Immigration
      The economy
      NHS
      Unemployment
      Education
      Crime
      Inflation (why???)

So if you were leader having to pick one of these which one would you pick to play to your strongest suit, because faced with a choice like this it’s never going to be easy !

But go and check Channel 4 news “Is A&E in Crisis” clip – 3 mins in – Andy Burnham – Tackled about NHS Wales which has 10% worse A&E waiting times than NHS England – but Burnham tries to brush this off and says this is about NHS England!

Astronomers have, apparently, discovered a planet some 500 light years away, which is remarkably similar to earth – it’s bigger, though, and the sky would be red. Oh, and it’s 40 degrees warmer than earth. Yet they’re still excited about it. If my memory serves me correctly, aren’t the “sceantists” still telling us that a 2 degree rise in global temperatures here on earth, will bring about our untimely destruction? So why on earth (if you’ll pardon the pun), would we want to spend 500 light years travelling to a place which is twenty times more likely to be uninhabitable?

I’ve no idea why so much time and money is spent on deep space exploration, God Particles, or Dark Matter, all of which are nebulous, when there are so many problems here on earth to sort out, first.

One’s first thought is of course for the victims and their families and immediate colleagues.

But then one must turn to broader groups, such as the government, opposition, NGOs and of course the media industries.

Nothing, clearly, can for now be known for certain, so caution before speculation is wise before moving to objective reporting and analysis.

As vehicles were involved it is to be hoped Paris council and police do not feel it is best the whole thing is subject to internal inquiry and left at that.

Meanwhile as it cannot be unlikely that satirical journalism was targeted for simply having a view, it will be interesting which staff of which media assemble in which forecourts to express their dismay.

What symbolism for suppression of free speech who knows, but at least Gaffa tape can be removed to speak another day.

No, if there were a Muslim attack on the BBC, they would immediately claim that Islamophobia, the marginalisation of Muslins in racist Britain and the legacy of British imperialism had driven these poor “lone wolves” to reprehensible, but understandable acts of desparation. They would also take almost orgasmic pleasure in parading their moral superiority by calling for everyone to befriend a Muslim as, afterall, most Muslims are devotees of the ROP and mean noone any harm. Everyone, hears and obeys the wise words of the BBC and peace and bliss reigns forever.

Palestinian jailed for murder of Israeli teenagers

The teenagers’ murders in June set off an escalating cycle of violence and led to a 50-day conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza.

Simply not true. Rockets were being fired from Gaza and Hamas and others were clearly arming and fortifying. Operation Protective Edge was launched in order to restore quiet to the region and stop Hamas terrorism. The single goal of the operation was to stop Hamas’ incessant rocket attacks against Israel’s civilians.

The BBC is implying that it set off an escalation that otherwise wouldn’t have happened.

The BBC will never admit it but the Israeli decision to attack ‘prematurely’ (an intelligence failure if there ever was one) saved Israel tens or even thousands of casualties, hostages and depopulation of the border region. Intelligence acquired during the operation showed that a Mumbai scale massacre was planned for the Jewish New Year using undetected tunnels. However unintentionally the murder of three teens led to saving Israeli lives — and given Hamas tactics no fewer Palestinians would have died.

      Agree totally.

I will however be feeling a little weary if the establishment here jerks its knees too quickly and trots out the platitudes no one believes and the BBC dashes straight to TellMama for their latest stats on inappropriate charcuterie deployment.

At some point these bodies have to accept that nasty tweets, looks in the bus or even idiotic building firebombings, especially if proven self-inflicted, do not equate in ‘community living in fear’ terms to members of the community continually being stabbed, hacked or strafed to death, and at some point even Mishal Husein could grasp the moral equivalences are skewed the other way already closer to home and likely to a point of (unacceptable, inexcusable) breaking.

These perpetrators have ramped it up and up to get a reaction, and all that’s happened is the pressure cooker has been clamped down harder. No honesty, recognition, victim empathy (beyond grief porn) or safety valve measures AT ALL.

And hence the ‘establishment’, more than any other entity, is nearly totally to blame for what will eventually follow. It’s almost as if they have designed it to be this way, which is a real concern. Nihilism and anarchy and vigilantism are just allowing the pendulum to swing too far the other way, and even their gated communities will offer no protection. And I doubt Ian Hislop enters the PI offices via a bomb-proof bunker.

At least there is a journalist worthy of the name at the BBC. A human being does exist beneath the Brillo. He’s old enough not to be scared to express himself freely and the lefties watching ‘The Daily Politics’ will be feeling quietly uncomfortable.

If Andrew Neil leaves the BBC, there will be no-one left.

Nick Robinson has done a very swift 180 ‘U’ turn on his ‘random attack’ comment [on Charlie Hebdo staff and police in Paris] earlier in the program, acknowledging that the attack is far from random.

The truth will be re-written over the coming weeks, but people have been murdered by adherents of Islam in the centre of a european capital. Again. But they are journalists this time.

This event may be a tipping point for the direction of the European Federalisation project and the start of open free discussion on the benefits and merits of Islam, the so called Religion of Peace.

Perhaps it’s early days but the BBC 1 One o’clock news report from Paris seemed rather curtailed considering the usual coverage of such events. It was almost as though BBC editors were keen to cut away from this major breaking news story to their pre-prepared package on the NHS. Just my imagination, I’m sure.

That’s exactly as I read the situation.
The package on health was well prepared to coincide with tne assault staged via PMQ’s.
However, events dear boy have conspired to derail their plan.
The French terrorist issue was dealt with, with undue haste, and shelved as soon as possible to lead into the NHS Labour Party Political Broadcast.

BBC News channel is already attempting to excuse the Paris Islamist murders by asking contributors if the magazine was wrong to publish its satirical views.

Their coverage is very muted too, they are clearly holding back showing what Sky is broadcasting. I suspect they are doing their best to play it down.

Don’t worry everybody; it’s only those ‘Lone Gunmen’ again!

When Christianity was satirised by ‘Life of Brian’, the only danger of a violent Christian backlash was when Malcom Muggeridge was wheeled out for a BBC show debating the film!

Ironically, Life of Brian was filmed in Tunisia !
The Muslims wouldn’t allow it to be filmed there today.

Yes, INBBC, e.g. Radio 5, is already providing politically empathetic, uncritical propaganda to Islamic interests in Britain in relation to the barbaric Islamic jihad massacre in Paris.

Next stage of INBBC propaganda will be on the lines of:-
how bad is ‘Islamophobia’ in Europe?
(Here are twenty five imams to answer our loaded question.)

There will be no INBBC open discussion of opposing the Islamisation of Europe and Britain.
There will be no recognition of Islamofascism.

Will BBC-NUJ organise demos outside BBC HQ in protest against massacre by Islamic jihadists in Paris, and in support of freedom of expression?

Or are BBC-NUJ demos outside BBC confined to supporting Al Jazeera?

‘The tradition combines left-wing radicalism with a provocative scurrility that often borders on the obscene. Its decision to mock the Prophet Muhammad in 2011 was entirely consistent with its historic raison d’etre’.

In other words the BBC is planting the suggestion that they had it coming.

      Cameron says:
“The murders in Paris are sickening. We stand with the French people in the fight against terror and defending the freedom of the press.”

Isn’t it precisely because our politicians, our institutions, our media and the loathsome BBC, in particular, HAVEN’T SUPPORTED FREE SPEECH that we have arrived at this ‘sickening’ point in European history?

Cameron-May-Clegg are dangerous hypocrites who have banned anti-Islamic jihad Americans, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, from Britain.

        And Beeboids are totally disinterested.

I understand that the UK Government are reviewing security. This means that all measures will be taken to prevent a backlash, and you had better watch what you say on Twitter. And don’t attend any demonstrations against Islam. Meanwhile, Cameron’s UAF will very likely be drawn into government legitimacy.
