MID WEEK OPEN THREAD…

Ok, here you go, middle of the week and a new one of these. Hope you enjoyed the BBC pushing out loads of pro-muslim PR this morning. It seems that “only” 27% of UK muslims support Jihadi butchers. That’s around 700,000 by my calculation. Over to you…

Looks like a ‘result’ for the Beeb. UKIP’s best story before May has been neutralised.

Downing Street denied that the Jimmy Savile reports were being published today to distract attention from the immigration figures. As Rowena Mason reports, when the prime minister’s spokeswoman was asked this if this was the case at the lobby briefing, she replied: “It’s clear that both issues are getting prominent coverage.”

Well; she would say that… but she knows it’s a deceit.

Some commenters on a BBC Have your say site refer to a Cardiff University inquiry into BBC bias.

    http://theconversation.com/hard-evidence-how-biased-is-the-bbc-17028

Apologies if this was discussed at the time but commentators on here may like to review and comment on its findings, which appear to be air time equals bias that way.

I wonder if they ever tried the interruption index test that someone on here conducted a few years ago.

I wonder if they checked out the “(Labour) government denies the opposition claim of x”, but do not play the opposition spokesman making the point, whereas it now seems Labour claims, cue soundbite, and then the government denies. Or the “Israel blasts Gaza …. after some rockets were fired” against “Palestinian rockets fired into Israel bring retaliation”.

If they found no anti Israel bias did they ask why the BBC still will not publish the Balen report?

The Cardiff University study was a whitewash (The governing body there, The Council, really need to investigate what rubbish is being produced there and is tarnishing their good name).

Civitas showed the whole report for the BBC Trust was a load of bollocks.

Strangely enough, the BBC did not find time to report the Civitas investigation.

Not content with oppressing the general populace in their day to day lives, the Fascists now want to regulate what goes on in the bedroom, and who you can and can’t be attracted to !

    “Racial Preferences and Dating
If you have a racial preference when dating, is it a matter of sexual attraction or can it ever be considered racist? Jenni speaks to Bim Adewunmi, Culture Editor at Buzzfeed and Head of Dating at Time Out, Charly Lester about whether our dating preferences say something about us. ”

So if you aren’t attracted to obese black women or men then you are not going to be able to filter them out via dating site questionnaires and you’re obviously a waycist. On the other hand if you are attracted to them then you are a vile fetishist and a waycist !

That apologist for Islamic terrorism is Cerie Bullivant who while on a control order did a runner in 2007 and whom the bBC (and the left) went to great lengths to paint as a….victim

This the bBC followed up with an interview where dickless was allowed to tell…his story

Be shocked as the bbC states:
“A man who last year sparked a national manhunt has spoken exclusively to the BBC, saying he is not the man the security services say he is.

            Cry as they report:
“”The last two years of my life have been utterly devastated and controlled,” he told the BBC in his home in Dagenham, Essex.

“It devastates and dismantles every aspect of your life and what makes you a person. Friends would not talk to me anymore. I had only been put on it because of association – and the same thing could happen to them.”

            Rejoice over this:
“The story of Cerie Bullivant begins in 2004. It was a difficult time in his life, drifting through bit jobs and struggling to care for his ill mother. A couple of old Asian schoolmates said Islam offered answers. The Harrogate-born 25-year-old was keen to learn – and he soon converted. “For me it was the best moment of my life,” he says. “I’m not the sort of person who speaks of great white lights – but that was the first time in my life I had felt a lifting. I had made the right decision.”

            Become angry over:
“In January 2006 police officers stopped Bullivant and the Adam brothers from heading to Syria. MI5 assessed the trio were really heading for Iraq. Security service papers suggest “martyrdom operations” – suicide bombings against British or US troops. Bullivant says he was “baffled” and insists his trip was a backpacking adventure. The Home Office placed the brothers under control orders – and months later Bullivant joined them after MI5 expressed concern over his plans to go to Bangladesh.

and finally rejoice as the bBC answers his critics:
“I’m not a threat to national security. I’m British, I was born in this country. I have never been involved in anything that would harm the security of this country or the security of other countries.”

Yet here he is on telly, defending his blood thirsty mate. Nice one bBC.

Telling that because the economy is in better shape now we should expect this increase. It’s normal. No, numbers like this have never been normal. It’s only from the late 1990s that this deluge started. And while your at it BBC, can you ask one of your ‘experts’ why there were still hordes coming here when the economy was, pardon me, down the shithole.

Perhaps the bbc can do one of their ‘countryside’ programmes telling us where we can fit 500,000 houses every year….and the roads…..and the schools… And the hospitals…. And the railways……and, well you get the idea.

Do they think we are fools? These ‘migration’ figures represent additional people since last year. The ‘problem’ won’t start to go away until annual net migration is negative, not just ‘lower’.

It is the same scam we have been given for decades over ‘inflation’. Unless the inflation rate is negative we continue to pay more year-on-year. Last year’s rise in fuel prices, say, magically ‘falls’ out of this year’s rate calculation but we still pay the increased price. Similarly should (hah!) the net immigration rate go down we still have to accommodate the immigrants of previous years.

I honestly think our MPs and our arts-grad ‘journalists’ just don’t understand the basic maths. behind these rate figures.

    Beeboids: Race and Sport.

Beeboids report without demur today that South Africa demands that in future at least 50% of its rugby team must be of the black race.

So Beeboids will equally accept, without demur, that e.g. all England’s Premier football teams should comprise at least 50% white English-born players?

Or, do Beeboids deem racial hard-ball OK for black South Africa, but not for white England?

George, that’s a pointless comparison to make for two reasons.

1 – Premier League teams can choose who they buy, whereas international teams can’t.

2 – There isn’t the same history of race relations in England as there is in South Africa.

This is about cricket, but when you say that the BBC reports “without demur” on racial quotas in South Africa you can see here that that is not true.

There is a paragraph in the article which reads: “SARU chief executive Jurie Roux stressed the move to expand black participation is “not a quota system”.”

To me, that implies that quotas are a bad thing if Roux had to “stress” that this move is not trying to impose one; there is a defensive tone to “stressed”. Unless you disagree with this analysis, this shows that the BBC does “demur” about whether quotas are a good thing.

This is an article about South African rugby, so why would it talk about other nations? What double standards are present in this piece?

Channel 4: 20% of staff will be from ethnically diverse backgrounds by 2020. The launch follows similar initiatives at the BBC, ITV and Sky and comes almost a year after Lenny Henry launched an impassioned attack on broadcasters for failing to represent Britain’s ethnically diverse population.

What is the BME population of the UK? 14%? So what do you call this guarantee to allocate 20% of places to them. Note: I wouldn’t object to giving 30% of places to them on genuine merit, but…..

Now, you can argue that this scheme is not a quota system – go right ahead. As Orwell wrote…

Everything faded into mist. The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became truth.

It doesn’t seem unreasonable to me to aim for equal representation of BMEs.

But I wasn’t arguing that the BBC didn’t believe in quotas, merely pointing out that George was wrong to assert that in that rugby article the BBC reported on it “without demur”.

Undoubtedly it’s the latter. Radio drama is commissioned and the BBC gets exactly what it wants.

I record R4 plays to while away long journeys. Ten years ago I had a small but steady supply from R4. Today I’m lucky if I can find one play a month worth recording, so tediously ‘right on’ is its output.

Like its comedy output, Radio Four’s drama has fallen completely into the hands of the worst sort of Guardianistas for whom the message they want propagandised is of infinitely more importance than the quality of the work.

It has reached the stage where Radio 4 Extra is far better listening – because it broadcasts mostly the OLD stuff. But for some reason it pollutes itself with droning Arfa Smiff as a link man, and repeats of the dreadful Now Show and suchlike rubbish. Surely the BBC knows the demographics of the Radio 4 Extra audience – they love the old comedy programmes no matter how many times they are recycled, and they like genuinely witty new or recent comedy like Down the Line or Claire in the Community which often provide real belly-laughs. They do NOT like the canned laughter of crap like the Now Show.

Usual liberal/Islamist alliance of common cause (aka useful idiots)

Mohammed “J.J.” Emwazi grew up in Queens Park, West London. Some dozy journo photo’d the house he grew up in, looks very much like a North West Council housing. Since “JJ” was six at the time of arrival, he isn’t “English”, he’s a Kuwaiti.

An enquiring journalist might ask who his parents from Kuwait were and how come they were allocated a West London council house? I thought Kuwaitis were all oil billionaires.

But we no longer have journalists with integrity, just greasy pole climbers in a deeply corrupted mainstream activist media. The BBC ‘s near monopoly of news employment has a large element of blame for the political corruption of the mainstream media.

I’m horrified to ‘learn’ from the BBC that ‘controversial’ Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was responsible for the ‘abuse’ of 63 people at Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Apparently she wanted a ‘celebrity’ to lead fund-raising for the NHS so she elevated an unknown dance hall owner from Leeds into an untouchable ‘national treasure’.

“Savile met Margaret Thatcher, then prime minister, to discuss the funding of Stoke Mandeville’s spinal injuries unit in 1980 – and in the same year was appointed to oversee fundraising and rebuilding of the unit.

Lead investigator Dr Johnstone said supervision of Savile at this time was “absent” and – with “statutory functions… in the hands of a celebrity fundraiser” – government and NHS “lost control” of the project.”

In still to be released news, ‘Thatcher’ button-holed the then Director General of the BBC and told him in no uncertain terms that as a reward for Savile’s work as a volunteer she expected the BBC to provide Savile with the opportunity to grope young women and children as part of peak-time entertainment on Thursdays and Saturdays. At no time did the BBC carry out any checks on Savile or question his activities on their premises as he had been given a gold-plated pass by ‘milk-snatcher Thatcher’.

In other news, the Casey report has been buried, even though the ‘guilty’ are still alive and in many cases still holding on to their jobs.

The BBC said, ‘we are just the messenger, we have no agenda or wish to shape the national narrative’.

        From the Daily Record
On one night in the 1970s, a night porter saw Savile wheeling the dead body of a child into the morgue…Evidence from Savile’s victims at Stoke Mandeville suggest his shocking behaviour was an “open secret” as early as 1973 after he started working at the Buckinghamshire hospital as a voluntary porter “with no checks, monitoring or supervision in place”.

Inside Gaza’s tunnels, militants get ready for the next war
In an olive grove close to houses in the southern Gaza Strip, the earth slides open smoothly, revealing a sight to terrify Israel. A deep pit containing a 120mm (4in) mortar tube, and three fighters from the militant group – Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Fully armed and in combat fatigues, the men are all wearing head torches. They move quickly, in well-drilled movements, loading and unloading the tube from a stack of mortars at the back of their position. This is a show of readiness, a show of strength, for the next war with Israel. Viewed as a terrorist group in the West, Islamic Jihad is committed to Israel’s destruction.

There is so much information here that the BBC couldn’t find in July last year. Who knows maybe they might draw some conclusions as Shuja’iyya suffered destruction because of the tunnels build under it OR Israel is correct in demanding supervison to ensure cement for rebuilding homes is not used to rebuild fortifications OR even that if mortars are fired from Gaza then Israel might be pissed off enough to fire back?

      Some ‘minor’ criticisms (video).

What is this site to terrify Israel? (0:45) Does Israel look terrified or simply determined?

The Israeli Commander didn’t want to be identified (1:36). Sommerville up to that point had spoken to and filmed dozens of men in facemasks, without comment. Perhaps the officer had not received permission to identify himself?

The Islamic Jihad fighters look so pretty and distinctive in their neat uniforms yet the BBC didn’t succeed in filming one of them in July. Could that be because they they took them off (BTW a war crime) last war?

What did you achieve apart from more than 2,000 Gazans dead, women and children?(2:41). This could be understood that all the dead were women and children instead of disproportionately younfg men of combat age. Someone who had watched BBC coverage could easily make that mistake because somehow the BBC didn’t film a single military casualty.

The Jihadist was given the last word. He is “still able to say no to the occupation” (3:00). Perhaps Sommerville wasn’t aware that every Israeli, military or civilian had left Gaza in 2005? Or perhaps, in the same way the BBC somehow missed all the activities of the report during the war they see an occupation all around them?

The bbC’s so called defence experts talk shite by bigging up the TU95 Bear.
Russia’s Bear: The old-fashioned plane still thriving

The above is a bBC article on just how right the Russians got it when they built the TU95. Yes this master piece of Russian engineering is something we should all take note of. But here is what the bBC leave out of its pro-Socialist article :
    1) Yes the TU95 first flew in Nov 1952, However the Boeing B52 first flew in April 1952.
    2) The Tu95 has recently undergone an upgrade which will see it flying until 2020, however the B52 will remain flying until 2040.
    3) 500 Tu95 were built, over 700 B52 were
    4) The B52 is combat proven, the TU95 isn’t
    5) The B52 vastly outperforms the TU95, and is older, yet to the bBC, the TU95 is the superior plane.

Even the RAF turned away from propeller bombers (Avro Lincoln was the last) and while the Russians were fielding the TU95 we were fielding the Victor, the Valiant and the Vulcan (The V bombers)

So why do the Russians still use the TU95, because for years they have had nothing else. Yes they had the Backfire, the Blackjack, the blinder. The thing is all of these have been unreliable. The TU95 is like the T34,T55 simple and easy to use. However it is obsolete as a warplane. It has the radar signature of a barn door and is only good for propaganda purposes …enter the bBC

One Typhoon might indeed take out a flight of Bears if they all buzz along together, however I think you will find that obsolete though the Tu-95/Tu-142 is that numbers have a quality of their own. 30 or 40 Bears coming at different angles, with airborne jammers armed with long range cruise missiles would then be a different class of enemy, Hitler found out that the Tiger was bested by the T-34 and the Sherman though it was the better tank, The US were embarrassed by obsolete MiG -17s hacking down Thuds and F-4s .
If I was a betting man Putin might just pull this little trick, putting a large number of Bears around our shores at half hour intervals, I think you and others here might be worried to find that the present day RAF would be very had pressed to shadow all of them before running out of pilots and planes. Putin would have his revenge for sending 75 trainers to the Ukraine. The UK has become a paper tiger.

The main base for TU95 in the west of Russia is Engels , ( they have 20) they fly a leg which takes them up tans over Finland , Norway, Sweden, then they either fly down towards the north sea or head over Iceland. During that leg they are intercepted by Danish, Norwegian and English fighters

There is another leg which takes them across the baltics however as that space is much more contested , they use their Tu 160s .

Whilst as it’s peacetime the Russians play by the rules and fly in international airspace ( note in a war situation all the Nordic countries would find their airspace full of Russian aircraft attacking them and through them to us) and we get plenty of warning as they fly round the North Cape and are greeted by the RNorAF F-16s. Putin could up the ante if he gives us a full effort rehearsal that quickly overwhelms our ability to shadow everything he can send, Cameron would be shown up big time if we had to resort to asking the 48th TFW at Lakenheath to help out guard our own airspace, Putin would enjoy that.

FFS – excuse my French – the BBC NHS News Channel has just broadcast a report from Wyre Davis on how a judge has dismissed the case against President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. They held off reporting the murder of the Jewish prosecutor, the allegations against Fernandez de Kirchner and the protests by 400,000 people; yet we get this puff-piece as soon as they can spin something positive. The TV report was only the positive stuff; very little background.

So much for Mohammed Emwazi’s University of Westminster, as confirmed by ‘Daily Mail’ not INBBC–

      Breeeeathe….!

This story was just a distraction from the immigration figures; 640,000 foreigners in last year – that’s just the ones they know about. Mark Reckless will be on Question Time shortly to cheer you up!

Your constant pro Tory posts are becoming boring, I’m voting for a change from the LabCon monopoly (two cheeks of the same arse) and voting UKIP, tactical voting is so yesterday.

Take note of tonight’s Thanet poll

          UKIP 39%
          Tory 27%

So are all those who think Ukip ,will form the next government , you all seem to want a Millipeed /SNP government , well that won`t benefit Ukip, because in the end the Consevatives will get back in, but after SNP /Labour have totally destroyed everything. Ukip will have between 0 & 3 seats , whatever you say , & no influence .

Who owns copyright to the name ‘Conservative’ is neither here nor there – but my understanding is that the Peter Bone/John Redwood/Owen Patterson faction believe in the same things as Nigel Farage. Aren’t they just staying in the Conservative party for now in the (forlorn) hope that they can take it over in a coup when Cameron fails to get a deal with Merkel?

On QT Reckless seemed to share the general puzzlement about why those “straight A” school girls went to Syria. They were “victims” of some sort. What dark forces could be at work? It’s all beyond my comprehension, he mused. Could it be they were “true believers” in the particular religion they were brought. up in? After all most religionists do believe unconditionally in their sacred texts as transmitted through their prophets from their Sky Fairy. But then we know there are no “true” Muslims in Syria as no “true” Muslim would commit a violent act. It’s all very confusing.

Cameron is a Careerist, he & May are only “On loan” to Politics, they have never been in the fold, but others could return the Tories to the fold if they lose the election, otherwise everyone else will go to UKIP, leaving only the toffee nosed careerists to hang on to a pro-EU Tory party, no different from the LibDems.

Another day, another brutal Islamic killing.

Muslim assailants have hacked to death the noted writer and free thinker Avijit Roy with meat cleavers. His wife was critically injured.
    Details here; http://wp.me/pCXJT-4p6

Roy was a high profile critic of Islamic extremism. Last year Islamists posted on Facebook “Roy lives in America and so, it is not possible to kill him right now. He will be murdered when he comes back to Bangladesh”.

I don’t see it on BBC.

I should imagine Al BBC with all the radio airtime
lavished on Asim Qureshi, John Snow did finally ask this scumbag
a challenging question, then let him spout more weasel words and ignore it.

Kay Burley, more balls than the entire BBC newsroom, when dealing

How thick is Rachel Reeves, who evidently ‘chose’ to be an MP. Arrogant thick leftard c*&t! Labour yobs and yobettes stuffed in QT audience again clapping at inane Reeves comments.

Reckless didn’t seem confident, but didn’t f&^k up, normalizing UKIP. QT is not the arena for in depth debate. Its a populist bun fight. Dimbleby really needs putting out to pasture. He simply doesn’t give a sh!t. And young people think ‘theres plenty of money to go around’. Schools must be teaching about the magic money tree and rights to free stuff in school now. Facepalm.

Dan Hannan on This Week, and Nat Ben re-run. Sure hope it doesn’t piss me off as much as QT.

    Vote UKIP.
