As the BBC recovers from shock and disappointment at its beloved Labour Party being trounced and utterly humiliated in the election there will be an all out effort to discredit the first Conservative Queen’s Speech for 18 years today. Expect “analysis” from the overpaid lefties of the BBC supported by their friendly Labour gobs on sticks and no doubt the ghastly Polly Toynbee and Owen Jones for good measure. I shall watch Sky as usual.
sadly they arent responsible for SKŶ which as you point out is total crap. Living in the US for a number of years has demonstrated just how bad commercial TV is. Wall to wall adverts with the most monumentously bad filler they call programs. If you dont like sky you might like to complain to Allan that runs this site. He is very close to the owners.
Doctor Who had a pro-gay agenda as far back as the early 1980s. One wonders what the original Dr Who, Bill Hartnell would have thought of it. He was notoriously homophobic, apparently.
even the heterosexuals – if you can find any – are as camp as a tent exhibition.
Not remotely true, of course, but then this is Biased BBC, where truth takes a back seat to a nutter with a pseudonym spouting nonsense that perpetuates the bigots’ beliefs.
Enlighten me someone on this site , why do gays have a fetish about Dr Who ? I don`t get the connection, unlike the Eurovision Song Contest . I remember in the 70`s ,Mary Whitehouse complaining it was disgusting ,that the Dr , either Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker, was travelling around time & space with a couple of chicks ,in a small box. Although she didn`t realise it was” bigger” on the inside than on the outside . Plenty of room for “Menage et Trois” though.
“…Who is forced to pay for SKY under threat of loss of their liberty?
Indeed. I know I can cancel my Sky subscription today if I so choose and happily nobody will come calling to try and turn me into a criminal for having done so. The problem with the BBC is that even though it does not speak to me, share my views, reflect my life and values or my politics, I am forced by law to pay for it to stay in business propagating its political/social agenda against my wishes.
The BBC in its current form is A Big Problem – morally and ethically (let alone legally). Trouble is that all the lefty marxist liberals working for it have their snouts rammed so far into the license fee slush fund that not one of them sees any problem with any of that.
The BBC should be forced out onto the open commercial market to take its chances as a digital subscription-only service. You know, just like Sky. Last I heard Sky were doing very nicely.
I wonder how well our ‘national treasure’, dear old Auntie, would fare..?
The problem being is that both the government and conveniently for the bBC is that to go pay to view (encrypted) it would mean that millions of households would need to purchase new viewing equipment to decode the signal, I can’t see another way.
Our broadband system could not take the extra demand for streamed services.
achtung licence fee denier. just because you arent watching the BBC doesnt mean vee cant get our message across to you on zee internet. Celebrate the diversity we at the BBC bring you
Agree. A bit better overall, probably, but very spineless on race. Eamonn Holmes can surprise occasionally, particularly in cutting through NHS bullshit, but I get the impression that he needs to be in the mood.
I suspect that the BBC sets the tone overall but I have no evidence for this. I also suspect that the die has been cast and removal of the BBC would not change matters much.
Just caught the end of ‘Thought for the Day’. Some bird was wittering away about animal rights, nothing unusual there. But then she seemed to be saying that you’ll only eat halal meat if you care about animals. Much talk of Hawam (unfortunate speech defect, I think) and God said this and God said that. (God being Allah, natch)
I might have got the wrong end of the stick but I cant find a transcript/recording of the same. Perhaps, if someone else heard it or can play it back, you could confirm or correct my impression of it. Ta.
Yes Lord. I heard it but wasn’t particularly listening as I assumed that it would be the usual ROP garbage but when she mentioned “cruelty to animals”, my first thought was “how is she going out of this one”. She went on to say that Muslims cared for animals throughout their life and were compassionate in the way that they slaughter animals in comparison to the Western method that could not guarantee that the animal was fully stunned.
If you were a sheep, which of the two methods would you prefer especially in view of the recent hidden filming from a halal slaughterhouse in Yorkshire where the animals were cruelly treated prior to watching the man with knife coming to slit their throats.
Halal?…100,000 Christians butchered every year by Muslims in the name of Islam.
No word about humane killing of these people though…..beheading, throat slitting, crucifying, burning alive, stoning to death etc.
The Farm Animal Welfare Council, RSPCA and other official bodies have repeatedly condemned halal slaughter (death by exsanguination) as a welfare problem, and so far our government has even resisted labelling the products so that people could choose. Stunning before slaughter is a compromise, but leftie politicians have not supported this as they ally themselves with conservative muslims. Article 9 of the EU places religious interests above animal welfare.
As for Islam’s love of animals, the photo from Karachi is revealing. The dogs are killed painfully with an acid injection, but note the muslim practice of displaying the bodies – as they do with their human victims.
I’ve said it before, but owners of British mans best friend will be the next target, they’re going for alcohol right now, next dogs.
We already have in parts of London parks and open spaces where you can’t take dogs and are patrolled by aggressive non British ‘wardens’ and as a dog owner I’m becoming aware of our immigrant friends grabbing their kids and giving me and my well behaved Border Collie a very wide birth.
With a ‘certain’ demographic on the rise, dogs and their owners will become more and more outcast.
Muslims hate dogs. He should never have been employed in that role anyway. The problem is that nowadays most of the people who are employed by Local Authorities are evil vindictive types who come to work every day intent on causing distress top ordinary peace loving people. Of course in ‘Officer'(?) Khan’s country he could have shot her and then maybe raped her, or possibly the other way round.
Even when they are pre-stunned before Halal slaughter, the voltage is reduced so it is just sufficient to make them insensible – they remain sentient throughout the process.
Such nice folk we’ve let into our country, the delightful ways they have.
I am a vegan. You obviously havent visited a slaughterhouse. Whether its religious nutters or licensed abatoirs that now no longer require inspection its all pretty disgusting. Just dont fool yourself.
I am a vegan. You obviously havent visited a slaughterhouse. Whether its religious nutters or licensed abatoirs that now no longer require inspection its all pretty disgusting. Just dont fool yourself.
It’s unusual in Islam to pre-stun, but even when it is done before Halal killing, it isn’t the same as pre-stunning in a conventional British abattoir.
thought you eat dog and cat sharon, though as your probably a leftie lezza im pretty sure you dont know whether cockroaches taste like nuts, or even cock for that matter
(Will be available for another day or so. Scroll down to May 21st – from 40:57 minutes in)
(However, I was amazed that she allowed the Israeli speaker to mention Jibril’s support for Palestinian terrorism without immediately silencing him and even put that point to Jibril, though of course she distanced herself from the dreaded T-word while doing so.)
I think the worst of it was her silence at the vile lie from Ahmed: I sent her the following complaint at chloe.tilley@bbc.co.uk
To Chloe Tilley,
I refer to your clip on WHYS on May 21st re the Palestinian assault on Israeli football. Though you let the Israeli, Emmanuel, have his say, the broadcast would have been balanced by bringing in an Israeli official to counteract the outrageous slurs from terror-supporting Jibril.
Also, contributors such as Ahmed need to be vetted a bit more thoroughly before they come on air to spread lies: “Players are harassed when they come back from training. There was the case of the two kids shot in the feet at a checkpoint.”
I am astounded that you let such a statement go by unchallenged – as if Israeli soldiers are waiting at check points to disable young Palestinian footballers. This is what is known as Pallywood, the best example of which is the Mohammed al Dura fraud – eventually exposed as such by a French court – and rather than giving it the stamp of BBC approval through your silence you should have stopped it in its tracks.
It’s also worth noting that there would be no Israeli checkpoints were it not for Palestinian terrorism and also that there is an Israeli-Arab team in Israel’s top league and Israeli-Arabs play for Israel’s national team.
I sent a formal complaint via the website. When I last looked at the site it was like something out of the 1990s, with green text and seriously unfriendly to use, for example, if you hit the back button to review something you’d lose everything you’d typed. Now the format is far easier on the eye and they warn you not to hit that button, but follow their own method of reviewing the complaint.
However, they still don’t give a reference number for the complaint. Strange.
‘if you hit the back button to review something you’d lose everything you’d typed.’
It’s all designed to ensure maximum inconvenience and frustration. I pre-write the actual less than 1500 complaint as it can crash on moving between pages, losing it all.
Also when following up after a cookie cutter blow off (to which you cannot reply), you need to re-enter reams of redundancy that should be held under the CAS- number.
However….
‘However, they still don’t give a reference number for the complaint. Strange.’
That is odd. These usually come by return after submission (worth capturing the summary page anyway). It could mean it was not received, which may necessitate a re-submission. Wouldn’t put it past them to build-in some of those to keep things irritating.
This has the CAS in the subject and ‘should’ have a copy of what you wrote in the text.
It is best to create a folder for each complaint.
Of course, if you resubmit a complaint they will create a new CAS number, which really messes things up, just as they like it.
As things go down the line and you start talking with a possible human, both sides can get thrown by which complaint is being referred to.
Also, whatever you think the system is, there will be little quirks they can introduce to throw you off at a every stage.
I’ve very seldom used the Complaints website, preferring to contact people directly via the name.surname@bbc.co.uk email. I don’t recall ever getting a reply from them, so I guess that’s why I don’t recall a reference number. Could be because I’m outside the UK.
It sometimes yields results. In this case I simply wrote that the substance of the complaint was in the email to Chloe Tilley and pasted it in.
It will be interesting to speculate how the recent corruption charges against FIFA officials will affect Jibril’s attempt to use that organisation to war against Israel.
And there would be no checkpoints if there was no Israel either. But for the definitive judgement we will have to look to God. According to a leading member of the Iraeli government God has given them the whole of Palestine. Maybe he will also give them the UK too. Time to polish up them Spitfires boys!
Along with Churchill the Spitfire saved this nation to allow us the freedom to vote and speak freely and not be controlled by another nation or nations . Can you support us by voting here. Oh, and please tell your chums – Chocks away …… https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/end-the-bbc-licence-fee
I know of one occasion when the Israeli government refused to cooperate with the BBC – after that 2003 hatchet job of a ‘documentary’ on Israel regarding nuclear weapons called ‘Israel’s Secret Weapon.’
But I think you are mistaken. I believe Netanyahu spokesman Mark Regev has appeared recently on the BBC.
An item about narrow gauge steam locomotives in Leeds on News24, the BBC can’t screw this subject up can they ?
” We got this loco from Sierra Leone,” up pops an African gentleman wearing traditional dress ( curtains and a tea cozy on his head ) in a loud voice he proclaimed ” Leeds people and African people, we’re ONE humanity”, ( promoting NWO agenda, one race, the human race BS) then he along with his assistant, who looked like a witch doctor proceeded to play bongo drums.
You just can’t make this shit up, it was like a Harry Endfield sketch.
Talking of Sierra Leone, I saw a comment on another blog from a British soldier stationed there, he asked the natives what they thought of Britain, they all replied ” That’s the place where the government gives you a free house.” We’re f**ked.
David wrote: “they all replied ” That’s the place where the government gives you a free house.”
I know a number of people who have been out there and they all say that in SL the natives see Britain as the place:
Where Man Utd is
Where they give you money for nothing
Where they give you a house for free.
I watched that piece on Look North the other evening and there was a woman involved in seeking to set up a railway museum in S.L. to display these locos and talking about what a wonderful place the country is to visit, so much to see etc – quite extraordinary.
Linnaean taxonomy, to which you refer, was based on a belief that species were fixed. Additionally evolution does not occur in accordance with the Linnaean heirarchy. An attempt was made, using non-linnaean terms such as tribe and cohort, and discriminating prefixes such as infra to patch up the original model.
Linnaean taxonomy is being slowly abandoned in favour of cladistics, because it is superior.
Break this down. . .
No chance whatsoever, do it yourself.
The only task I perform, without payment, for my enemies, is to assist their passage into the afterlife.
Yes, there were some of the very earliest trains in the world running in Leeds, run and designed by the indigenous and now despised white race.
African railways? Just a little behind, I’m afraid.
Leeds/Middleton railway 1758.
Cairo/Alexandria 1855 constructed by…..Robert Stephenson. Hmmm.
So where did they screw up exactly. GB has been screwing this nation for hundreds of years so they must have something we want. Maybe you could explain?
Nearly fell off my chair when I heard that on the news. Was so amazed that I only half-listened to the rest of the report – on Israeli English news – but I think I also heard strong condemnation of Israel.
From Hamas’ point of view that would be deeply insulting – putting them in the same bracket as the Israelis.
The report comes across as having been done through gritted teeth:
‘It says while “Israeli forces were inflicting destruction and death on the people in Gaza, Hamas forces took the opportunity to ruthlessly settle scores”.‘
‘In the latest report, Amnesty says Hamas forces committed the abuses during Israel’s military offensive…’
In other words, it was Israel’s fault for attacking when Hamas were minding their own business.
And there’s the obligatory body count.
‘The fighting between Israel and the militants left at least 2,189 Palestinians dead, including more than 1,486 civilians, and 11,000 injured, according to the United Nations. On the Israeli side, 67 soldiers and six civilians were killed, with scores more wounded.‘
Next time, Israel should see to it that more rockets are allowed to land, to make things fairer.
Toady Programme droid this morning (may have been a dimbleby, maybe not, who cares) to Lynn Truss.
‘Yes, that sounds very much like a pre-prepared answer’.
Not sure how you can ‘pre-prepare’ anything but that aside, I don’t remember any of their Labour chums being greeted with the ‘pre-prepared answer’ line.
And as for plummy thicko Sara Montague coming out last Friday with,
‘President Obama, there, cool and measured as ever’.
You could almost hear her pants moistening.
(George Bush, of course, was never ‘cool and measured as ever’)
Edit – ‘President Obama, deluded as ever’ would have been a bit nearer the mark.
‘President Obama, there, cool and measured as ever’.
Reminds me of Newsnight’s Laura K, whose main function at vast expense is logging entries and exits through doors or seating on trains, when referring to the special aura that lit up rooms when her Ed appeared. Just before he tripped over.
Version 1:
‘she [Qatar’s Sheikha Moza]… challenged the political culture in Muslim countries that had produced radical militants whose VERSION of Islam is “nothing more than a violent political slogan”.
Version 2 (which deletes the word ‘version’) :
‘she… challenged the political culture in Muslim countries that had produced radical militants whose INTERPRETATION of Islam is “nothing more than a violent political slogan”.
Use of the word ‘interpretation’ qualifies the user for the services of a registered ‘interpreter’, together with the requisite EU and ECHR fees, payable in euros at the standard rate.
Perhaps because there can be only one “version” of Islam, because it is the Word of God, as delivered to a paedophile Arab merchant in a cave (as you do if you’re God), but here can perhaps be different “interpretations” of the one “version”. Anyway, the Beeboids don’t want to get their heads chopped off for saying the wrong thing do they? Give them a break.
The BBC are too busy with crap like this
“A senior member of the Qatar royal family has warned that Muslims are being “dehumanised” by the coverage of violent extremism in the Middle East. “Why do Muslim lives seem to matter less than the lives of others?” asked Sheikha Moza bint Nasser in a speech at Oxford University on Tuesday” http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-32887820
(yep! that s from Qatar! … three words ,,, World Cup workers?).
Anyway the Football International Fiddlers Assoc seem to have a few issues at the moment
… on the bright side….
The non state of Pallybombers are pushing to SUSPEND Israel
“It’s not about suspending the Israel Football Association [IFA] … it’s about our … rights.”? hmmm
Usual cooked up Pallywood B/S http://elderofziyon.blogspot.co.il/2014/03/the-lies-about-palestinian-footballers.html#.VWVspI0w9y0
and Prince Ali Bin al-Hussein of Jordan could soon be in the mix as president, Greg Dyke can t wait to endorse him
so don t expect that to go away anytime soon.
“A senior member of the Qatar royal family has warned that Muslims are being ‘dehumanised’ by the coverage of violent extremism in the Middle East: ‘Why do Muslim lives seem to matter less than the lives of others?’ asked Sheikha Moza bint Nasser in a speech at Oxford University on Tuesday.“
There’s a massive difference in meaning between VERSION and INTERPRETATION. Using ‘version’ means that there are several versions, each equally valid or acceptable. ‘Interpretation’ means that they could/might have misinterpreted the meaning…and therefore has much less validity. Thus, what many people believe, that Islam is a violent supremacist religion, is downgraded and dismissed as merely being an incorrect misunderstanding.
I don’t care what semantic one degree of separation may legally exist between them, but this is the revenue collection arm of the state broadcaster.
Impersonation and false claiming by ‘officers’ (or individuals acting on their behalf… in tats and a cap. Are they serious?) should be a enough for the media world to go ballistic and then see the entire edifice closed down, at least for a root and branch clear out and reorganisation.
Remember the BBC’s reaction when Wonga used dubious legal wording to try and secure payments that were actually due, and dishonestly held for a service engaged voluntarily for personal gain?
This is orders of magnitude worse to entrap to secure a ‘sale’ for a service many have not asked for and neither want, need or value.
Have been hearing all morning about how the Government is backtracking on its commitment to abolish Human Rights Act in favour of a British Bill or Rights, as a result of watered down wording in the Queens speach.
What a load of bow-lox! Fact is that the EU Referendum Bill can be pushed through quite quickly to get to the desired result. The replacement of the Human Rights Act is much more delicate, and a much chunkier piece of legislation requiring much greater time and effort.
Government strategy to split the two out is correct, but you won’t hear anything but criticism from the metro-leftwing media which includes the BBC.
I don’t care anymore. Before the election I was spitting blood at the BBC’s clear bias in favour of Labour. Since the election I have been entertained and highly amused by their convulsions. The hive has been very seriously damaged and they don’t know how to cope. Every piece on the SNP and the Labour leadership shows that they simply don’t get it: the great British public gave the Conservatives a working majority. It is hilarious.
Labour are about to choose another un-electable leader. The government will re-draw constituency boundaries. It is unlikely that I will live to see another Labour government. I just need to see the BBC brought to heel to complete my contentment.
With about 19,990 too many staff and several thousand media platforms to fill every hour, the BBC usually gets quite excited about things that go ‘Boom’.
Frankly someone letting off an errant Roman Candle anywhere will get a full crew dispatched… unless of course it is for cultural reasons when all due sensitivities apply.
I certainly recall when Kim Wrong ‘Un decided to fire a missile at a body of water, which he hit, they went ballistic (see what I did there).
More so when he pointed at a PhotoShop of doing it from beneath the briny.
Thing is, even though he is a globally dangerous megaloon, save a few guppies, these efforts did not target people, and in such a way as to inspire the UN to ask him to stop killing folk in such an obvious way. Even despot dictators have to kick the tyres and test the toys.
Which makes folk actually trying to start wars getting the silent treatment all the more intriguing…
‘We can however ascertain that the BBC was aware of the fact that a missile attack had taken place because on the morning of May 27th a report on the Israeli response to it appeared on the BBC Arabic website under the interestingly phrased headline “Israeli warplanes launched a series of attacks on military positions of the Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip”.
I would dearly love to hear the CECUTT ‘not news’ excuse for this.
Of course, for balance, with the BBC for every story they for some reason go dark upon, there are those they pursue avidly, almost to a level that makes one wonder if maybe a meeting was once held to agree on such things;
Now in the news v.s not news department if a meeting is happening I have no problem with it being reported; but conditioning the public on how to respond does seem a bit in excess of remit.
As luck would have it.
Helen ‘The Importance of Being’ Briggs is a new name to me, but her body of work on matters science inspires already…
‘…according to research. Models also show that at certain times, a large hole would have…’
In just a few words I can see who she believes and what they work around.
A few folks have mentioned the bBC reporting on Amnesty International berating Hamas. I watched it before going out the door this morning and was disgusted by it. Why, well watch the bBC report and tell me why a report on the narfarious nature of the ruling party of Gaza is full of film clips of Gaza getting blown up by the Israel. Is there supposed to be a subliminal message here which tries to say:
Hamas may be bad but not as bad as the Jew.
Hamas had to kill these traitors
It was Israels fault.
Watch it and see where I am coming from. Amnesty International: ‘Hamas killed and tortured Palestinians’
Just noticed that they have updated the film clip. but it still shows Israel fighting back rather than Hamas driving round town with dead bodies in tow.
The bBC, the propaganda arm for Islamic terrorism.
Just when you thought that there was not another British institution to decry, the Guardian comes up with ‘Tea Is a National Disgrace’ the article contains the line ‘tea is shit’. This is probably because our writer realises that ‘it has its roots in colonialism’
Quote ‘liking it is the worst possible English trait, up there with colonialism and the class system and thinking dentistry is bad.’
Just the sort of lefty British hate thing the bBC love, all we have to do now is sit back and wait for Today or The One Show (in morbid shocked tones) to do their version of the piece.
The British Empire wasn’t the only empire through the centuries. If it had not had an empire, this nation would have been swallowed up long ago by France, Spain , Holland and Germany etc . They all had empires and we would be probably speaking a different language now. But the British Empire must have been benevolent overall, as it has the biggest Commonwealth that still maintains connections and a commonwealth that has great respect for this country
The only proper description of the writer in the Guardian is -tosser..
They write rubbish like this to provoke like small children do when they can’t have an icecream.
Not having a labour government is a bit like that for these people.
For much of my life I did hard physical work and a cup of tea really was very welcome.
The average liberal/BBC lefty has never ever really had to do any hard work . Physical work that is. Farming, building, fishing, mining etc.Which is why they write garbage like this and look so weak and useless.
Discount and ignore.
I don’t think that you will ever find a Guardian reader working down a coal mine. Too dirty for their little hands. Better off being a drama queen etc.
The 5th most important story on the West Yorkshire page (some distance from the main home page) is the charging of 15 men for sex offences with an underage girl. No prizes for guessing, etc etc…
The RoP and its votaries – the gift that just keeps giving.
“Islam is toxic to a democratic society due to the possibility of physical attack against anybody who criticizes the Islamic agenda. This destroys the possibility of free public discourse.”
Do the BBC think we are blind or is it their sub-editors? Actually, I would go for the second option given their inability to pick obvious photoshopping in Pallywood fauxtography.
A puff piece with a hint of America is better than BritainThe myth of bad British teeth by Justin Parkinson in BBC News Magazine wouldn’t normally gain my attention. However I am a photographer/photoshopper and I notice things like taking a clearly overexposed photograph to illustrate greater whiteness.
Check out the photograph. I used image processing on the additional photograph of singer Cheryl to match as much as possible eye, hair and skin tones. (It will never be exactly identical as the lighting is different amd she may have been using different make-up as she clearly is with the lipstick).
Her teeth are marginally whiter but not so much as could not be explained by lighting, a whitening toothpaste or even a little bit of photoshopping. Another BBC photo fail.
Ah, it’s from one of their empire-building ‘keep ’em occupied’ employment sub-category platforms, ‘Magazine’, which appears code for ‘slow news day tripe’.
Of course the picture eds have had a field day making whatever point they are after, and Chezza’s evolution in 13 years suggests she will soon be appearing on Defiance as a Castithan if they crank the brightness any more to make a daft point.
“Her teeth are marginally whiter but not so much as could not be explained by lighting, a whitening toothpaste or even a little bit of photoshopping.”
That doesn’t explain why her teeth have changed shape and size! She’s quite obviously had a set of veneers fitted; which perhaps was the whole point of the photograph…
dez u do the nightshift in a fish gutting factory wtf do u know about denistry and besides, im sure an obnxious lefty like you has had all their teeth knocked out anyway
I expect so, dez. She has ‘improved’ her already excellent choppers. Was that the point they were trying to make?
That doesn’t excuse the picture editors playing around with the exposure (other than Michael Jackson few of us become so many shades paler with the passing of the years). Or are you saying no one noticed? So what is it — incompetence or agenda?
This has been happening for years.
What the FOI request should also have asked for is the expenditure on advertising.
A couple of years ago 90% of BBC staff recruitment advertisements were placed in the Guardian.
I expect the figure will be higher after the 2015 election. As we all know the solution to all the horrors and failures of socialism, is, more socialism, and proper socialism too, none of the moderate Pol Pot stuff next time.
“Shock horror, who knew….The BBC spends £2500 a week on buying copies of the Guardian..”
Sounds like a bargain to me. Only £2500 per week to provide scripts for all those hours of “non-fiction” broadcasting. Across all the channels it probably averages out at about £1 per hour of air time. Much cheaper then employing journalists to discover and investigate news stories.
I take it you’ve all noticed the whole meme about the Tories being “unleashed”, as if they are an evil menace across the country. I doubt the BBC would report a Lab/Lib Dem coalition turning into a majority Labour government in quite the same negative manner.
BBC One Show, lightweight Matt asks the two luvvie gay actor guests their view on Europe, surprise, surprise they both want to stay in. Can’t work out why the question was asked, maybe it related to something later in the program, never hung around to find out – Off switch!
They did a piece asking some bloke from Innocent drinks or whatever they are thought about the EU – he could hardly contain himself in his excitement about how wonderful he thought it is. No challenge from the BBC clone. She just let him go on and on, and on. Struck me he may need therapy.
douglas carswell the ukip mp for clacton while waiting by a bus stop tonight was attacked and had to be rescued by the police in london after 300 far left violent thugs on this so called anti austerity march went on the rampage attacking anybody they thought was tory or ukip mp leaving parliament, not a peep on the bbc or radio 5 live about this, douglas carswell said tonight on iain dales show on lbc that he feared for his life from this murderous left wing mob and was thankfull the police got there in time to rescue him from a certain beating, these far left swp thugs was all labour party supporters, what kind of country have we become when a serving mp has to fear for his life just going about his business said douglas carsell, the footage of what happened to day is on douglas carswells twiiter and periscope accounts.
It looks like they are starting to campaign for the next General Election with “Tories Out” placards. But in a very enthusiastically violent manner, even though they have five years to wait, and even then they may not win.
They therefore would need to kill more than just 330 Tory MPs and one UKIP MP, but also 11,300,303 Tory voters and 3,881,129 UKIP voters. That would need a Scottish National Socialist Holocaust with a total of 4 Million people more than Hitler’s National Socialist Holocaust.
So they may be planning to burn down Parliament, blame it on the English. Use that excuse to purge Parliament of the 594 traitors responsible for the fire, which would create a National Socialist majority. Salmond could then become Prime Minister, and then “Leader of the National Socialist Protectorate” when the Queen dies, which would make the Holocaust possible.
tonight’s springwatch was full of shit, literally. the programme covered the peregrinations of boris the badger, filled to the brim with anthropomorphised explanations of the animal’s actions.
they decided that they needed to analyse boris’ shit to learn more about his diet and habits. strangely the analysis didn’t stretch to find out whether boris had TB.
from the a programme clearly aimed at influencing children, the message is that badgers are just like you and me and certainly mustn’t be blamed for disease in other species or, horror of horrors, culled.
Then there was the piece on Seagulls and Pigeons, those rats with wings that so many people can’t stand but are now at the forefront of Springwatch’s favourite birds, as they receive so much bad press.
Shortly after there was a piece on Spanish bluebells outgrowing our own smaller British bluebell and taking over…”this is just one immigrant that we’ll have to learn to accept and love”!! I was detecting a pattern?
Even nature isn’t safe from social engineering…nothing about the disasters of immigrants such as Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed, Grey squirrel, American Crayfish, American Mink, Ash tree dieback and lots more because ALL immigration is gooood.
This latest cowardly attack on UKIP is quite extraordinary. The Beeb have been there all day and have reported that the “anti austerity protesters” (soap dodgers anonymous) have been lively, but that there have been only three arrests. It all sounds rather pleasant and peaceful. Film clips show smiling youngsters with placards. There is absolutely no way that the BBC can’t be fully aware of the dangerous, indeed terrifying attack on a elected member of parliament. Douglas Carswell was set upon by a hard left mob and had to be rescued by the police. Even the bloody newspapers are running the story but our corrupt national broadcaster doesn’t feel the need to tell us about this assault on democracy.
Someone please explain to me why we pay this licence fee…
You pay the tax to keep otherwise unemployable and useless idiots in jobs. The BBC is a make work outfit for the middle classes who think they are above real useful work.
just watched these vids with disgust, if that was the edl the courts would be overflowing tommorow. If carswell is their idea of a fascist racist they really need to get out more and discuss their ideas with a group of bnp supporters.
Absolute shithouse scum, the guy at the end goading someone to react..”Go on, I f****** dare you”. Wind em up whilst hiding behind the rest of the unwashed vermin, very brave.
“Officials in the Pakistani child rape gang scandal town of Rotherham are moving to ban protests against their own incompetence. They have appealed to the home secretary for emergency special powers under the Public Order Act 1986.”
Not on BBC … does have this though
“man has been arrested on suspicion of historical child sexual exploitation (CSE) offences in Rotherham.

“The 32-year-old is being questioned over allegations involving two girls under 16-years-old between 1990 and 2003.”
I haven’t yet read the linked stories but……if the man being questioned is 32 he was born in 1983, so in 1990 he was 7. Just who was abusing whom, and can no one in the BBC count.
Today we’ve seen one of those litmus test moments that helps define the left.
All day Labour have been criticising the Queens Speech and have decided that there line to take is, ‘The Tories never expected to win the election’. An tenuous implication that the Queens Speech has been cobbled together.
But guess what BBC / Newsnight’s Kirsty Wark led with tonight?
‘The Queens speech of a Tory Government that never expect to win the election…’
I’ve been watching the BBc news on and off this evening. Mostly as I was interested in what was in the Queens speech if details was what I was after obviously I was wasting my time. However I note the focus on the SNP continues. The new mantra on politics seems to be how small the conservative majority is.
And I’ve heard a number or reporters and other BBC clones say that the Conservatives are now ‘unfettered’ without the LiBDems. The LibDems were always on about how they kept the Tories in check and without their influence there would be trouble for the people. Clearly the people thought that to be a lie.
The BBC is now taking over where the LibDems left off and is promoting the idea, as do other Left-wing organisations, that there is trouble ahead now that the Conservatives free of their chains.
BBC London tv news this morning and I’m struck by how often it is that there is no actual news headline – once again the bulletin is led by an attack on Boris by some campaigners over an issue dear to the hearts of Labour.
And don’t forget Barroso’s acceptance speech when the EU was so deservedly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize: ‘The EU is the blueprint for a future world government’.
Here on b-BBC we know that, Manuel, as we have joined the dots from Club of Rome through Climate Change all the way along to Agenda 21. We know it despite the BBC’s reluctance to ‘educate and inform’ i.e. when The Narrative might be disrupted.
Oh, and as no one else seems to have questioned it. Could someone kindly inform me under what law and under what jurisdiction does the US arrest non-US residents in foreign countries whilst working for an organisation based in Switzerland.
Why, if the US authorities have evidence, did they simply not tell the Swiss police and leave it to them?
Don’t you find that chilling? That an intelligence branch from the US can simply move in to any sovereign territory, arrest anyone it deems to have ‘broken’ US law (even though they may never have actually set foot in the States) and drag them off to the US ‘Just Us’ system. Oh, and their private ‘penal colony’…but that’s for another thread!
Can you imagine the outcry if the Russian equivalent of the FBI had done the same thing?
I find BBC reporting of the FIFA scandal is oddly restrained.
True sports fans are jumping for joy over this story. The BBC is noticably matter of fact. Our BBC Breakfast sports reporter having covered the story felt the need to ‘lighten the mood’ with a dodgy mobile phone clip of Steven Gerrard dancing.
Lighten the mood!
This is the best news for years.
Strange… football fans I know are doing the dancing and they doing their dancing over Sepp Blatter’s present discomfort.
I wonder what it is about this undemocratic, corrupt, anti-British, supranational organisation that so enamoured FIFA to the BBC ?
Surprisingly, Nuala McGovern on Outside Source on the World Service was most enthusiastic about the breaking FIFA scandal and the programme was full of it yesterday:
Continued strange wording from the Met Office, as reported by the BBC in the weather forecast/bulletins: Wintryness (is there such a word) on the Scottish hills….oh, that would be “Snow” then would it? You know like, Global Warming “snow” at the end of May in Great Britain? I still hear “Chilly”, well that would mean “Frost” would it? And are we going to hear from the Met Office and or the BBC that it now looks like that G.B. have suffered the greatest number of “Frost days” from beginning Oct 2014 to beginning June 2015 for over 100 years? Yeah, “Global Warming” on our doorstep is it? The nights start drawing in, in just three weeks time.
BBC weather forcaster this morning warned us not to expect a ‘heartwave’…. but that is exactly what we were warned to expect with all this global doodah.
“…BBC weather forcaster this morning warned us not to expect a ‘heartwave’…. but that is exactly what we were warned to expect with all this global doodah.”
…Some of us are still waiting for those much-promised ‘Mediterranean temperatures’ here in the UK.
Our local beeboid weather person keeps informing us that the temperatures for the next day will be ‘suppressed’ by cloud cover. It seems the clouds have been messing about with the BBC’s global warming meme. I suppose they must be right wing clouds.
Looking at the accuweather forecast, which shows the last month, here in Yorkshire it has been above the average temperature for 2 days only- every other day has been below, in one case 5 degrees below.
I know, we’re talking climate, and this is weather.. but even so, it’s getting a bit embarrassing for the warmists, surely?
It seems a large chunk of BBC overseas ‘jounalistic’ activity gets devoted to India and Australia. Not in a good way. By coincidence two countries with governments the BBC would like to change in favour of ones with bbc-approved views, as they attempted here in the UK recently.
So it was no surprise this morning to find they are still banging on about the boat people issue there.
BBC World News
Australia is settling its unwanted refugees in Cambodia. But is it telling them what life there is really like?
Not surprisingly, this line of thought is not really going down as well as the editorial may have hoped. Especially with Australians. Or anyone else.
I doubt this will have any impact on the BBC’s relentless daft advocacy, mind.
Breakfast they have an article on a short film about the “Far right” which didn’t win some competition. Wonder why it’s on Seems to be a “Far right” dad telling his daughter to get out of the kitchen where he is having a “Far right” meeting but letting his son stay.
I did also see the promotion for the film Miranda Hart is in which looked like it would be really funny if you were 12. Oh yes and the dancing footballer.
Maybe eventually they’ll show the propaganda film where the classroom kids who dare even question ‘climate change’ suddenly explode in a bloody flesh-rending gore-fest. Forget who made it – some BBC-approved climate change ‘scientists’, I’d guess, as no-one else is allowed to voice an opinion on it.
Certain ironies to be found in the Mirror looking shaky despite much kinder coverage by the bbc, in no small measure thanks to financial settlements from such as the violated Alan Yentob, whose conversations were not deemed worthy of any attention anyway.
I’ll have to take your word for it. I had the temerity to question whether she was blaming victims of the “draw Mohammed” competition in Texas for being shot. Instead of explaining what she meant, or more likely because she couldn’t, I got blocked.
Not bad considering I have tweeted exactly five times in my Twitter career.
‘During news bulletins an extra dressed as a giant rabbit would stand behind the news presenter, and mime actions related to the news. For example, good news would be greeted with an enthusiastic thumbs up, while during bad news the bunny would hang his head and look sad.’
Seen this today. BBC advertising for a new Weather person no experience necessary only should be disabled. As I have HIV so I’m technically disabled I’m was thinking of applying but being hideously white, Anglo Saxon and Male I thought maybe not.
The ever-ubiquitous BBC spokesperson said: ‘We are not advertising for a disabled weather presenter… simply in the first paragraph asking if anyone is, and stating that’s who is being sought’.
BBC spokespersons getting rather good at trying to tell it often enough even when reality utterly at odds with claim.
Bit like their editorial really.
Maybe a lady who has undergone a mastectomy should apply and demand they celebrate her stance like those coffee shop Mums and empowered presenterettes on popular cable shows?
They are actually advertising Weather Presenting Training with no job guarantee at the end of it!!
Why are they bothering to waste money on this.
If you need someone to present the weather then surely its just a question of recruiting the person who has the appropriate qualification, can speak properly and doesn’t wilt in front of the cameras. If they happen to be disabled , BME or ideally both, then its a bonus.
I confess to being seduced by the self-flagellations of W1A, but when ‘real’ life and the period between script to broadcast marry with such perfection that even the Daily Mail makes the connection, I have my suspicions something rotten is afoot in the state medium.
Hang on so the BBC is trying to get people to sign up for unpaid training on the tiny possibility of recruiting one at a later date ? and they have the Gaul to whine about zero hours !
‘We are looking for men and women with a passion for the environment and the weather….’
And, presumably, who can lie through their teeth after attending dodgy meetings with climate change activists.
Honestly, ‘environment and the weather’. What a shameless admission of propagandising – or could it be sloppiness resulting from their Untouchables mentality?
Of course in the wonderful world of CECUTT, overseen by the ever enthusiastic, or comatose (depending) Fraser Steel, or FOI, trying to get a handle on when the BBC feels the need to leave out context, or shovel what it feels is necessary in no matter what to ease the pain of the narrative taking a hit, will doubtless run into either a ‘purposes of’ blow off, or more likely the time cut-off as they face the extent of the discrepancy.
‘reports of extra-judicial killings like those included in this Amnesty International report appeared in the local media and yet – despite having numerous reporters on the ground at the time – the BBC (and most of the other foreign media) chose to ignore them’
No news is BBC News… as it suits. Someone should give them a rocket though, being the BBC, all concerned will claim they neither saw or heard it.
Thank goodness we now have a Government that stands up for honesty, decency and anti-corruption in sport. Particularly football since we are the indigenous home of the worlds most popular game:
Must say that is polar opposite to the way corrupt Labour, when in power, handled another of our indigenous world sports, Formula 1, where they attempted million quid bribe to party funds, changing the law on cigarette advertising, until they got found out: Such behavior tells me a lot about why I never ever could consider voting for them.
The F1 incident was the first time I realised Blair was an unprincipled shit. Later on, I realised I was wrong. He’s an international criminal and traitor.
The BBC and half a story. Palestinians push for Israel football suspension The photo opportunity arrest of Farouk Assi took place on September 16, 2014 but you would never guess from Kevin Connolly’s report that it didn’t happen yesterday. It was stage-managed (Assi was accompanied by at least one film crew) for the purpose of opposing Israel’s hosting of a UEFA tournament. The close up on his FIFA card should have screamed Pallywood to anyone but a BBC journalist.
Another half story is the joint Palestinian Israeli football match. Connelly failed to mention that the PA prohibits using sports as a bridge for peace. On September 6, 2014 Rajoub wrote, “Any activity of normalization in sports with the Zionist enemy is a crime against humanity.” [Kooora.com, Palestinian sports site, and Jibril Rajoub’s official Facebook page, Sept. 6, 2014]
BTW Yossi Benayoun is a little more than just Israeli footballer. He captains the Israeli national team and is the country’s most capped player. British football fans (that doesn’t necessarily include Connolly) would recognise him as a player for West Ham United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. He is as well known a name in Israeli football as Wayne Rooney or Steve Gerrard in England.
There is more than a little unacknowledged hypocrisy in the charge that Israeli teams from over the Green Line are breaching FIFA’ s rules by playing in Israeli leagues. It’s not as if they could play in the local Palestine league. In effect, the Palestinians are saying that if you are Jewish and live on territory that they claim you can’t play anywhere.
Typical of the BBC no Israeli spokesperson is given time to counter Rajoub’s claims. Connolly speaks one sentence on their behalf in the last half minute of the report.
I don’t know if Connolly is aware but the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has called on FIFA: 1. To suspend the PA until it:
A. Publicly commits to stop naming sporting events after terrorist murderers.
B. Publicly commits to stop glorifying the Munich Olympics terror attack and the terrorists.
2- To sever ties with Jibril Rajoub until he retracts his statements calling for terror and “slaughter.”
The “so called” … Palestinians, (yes, BBC there a real made up entity), either pneumatic whining, unwarranted victim mentality, or just infect everything they touch with their Jew hatred,
Its very, very sickening, whether football, or judo, supermarkets
or supposedly schools of rational intellect, every damn thing they touch is poisoned by their warped ideology.
This contrived Islamic terrorist entity, are perpetrators of both hatred and violence, because of the intelligence numbing, moral inverting, hate infested texts and their genocidal figure head.
‘The challenge also takes issue with forces branding Press Gazette FoI questions on this issue as “vexatious”.’
And…
‘No police forces answered these questions, with 29 saying they could not afford to answer under FoI cost restrictions and 16 refusing to confirm or deny whether they held the information. ‘
It’s harder now to obtain information. If the organisation refuses to answer because it would take too much of their time, they can and do refuse.
I requested from a London Borough details of arrests as a result of the vastly expensive CCTV system. (I knew from an insider that there had been no arrests).
The Council refused to divulge any information. They said it would take up too much of their time.

Who is forced to pay for SKY under threat of loss of their liberty? If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Simple. Why complain?
The BBC, now that’s a different ethical issue. A unjustifiable moral crime. The telly tax.

Excellent comment Phil,
The problem being is that both the government and conveniently for the bBC is that to go pay to view (encrypted) it would mean that millions of households would need to purchase new viewing equipment to decode the signal, I can’t see another way.
Our broadband system could not take the extra demand for streamed services.

I suspect that the BBC sets the tone overall but I have no evidence for this. I also suspect that the die has been cast and removal of the BBC would not change matters much.
Don’t have to pay for SKY, of course.

More enthusiastic pumping out of Palestinian propaganda from the campaigners at World Have Our Say:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/whys
Here’s what really happened:
http://elderofziyon.blogspot.co.il/2014/03/the-lies-about-palestinian-footballers.html#.VWVspI0w9y0
It’s also worth noting that there would be no Israeli checkpoints were it not for Palestinian terrorism and also that there is an Israeli-Arab team in Israel’s top league and Israeli-Arabs play for Israel’s national team.
Regards,
I might also tweet her, much as I loathe Twitter.

Will they reply within ten days? Maybe.

It will be interesting to speculate how the recent corruption charges against FIFA officials will affect Jibril’s attempt to use that organisation to war against Israel.

Well, I guess having fewer FIFA crooks available to bribe will reduce the likelihood of an anti-Israel result.

I know a number of people who have been out there and they all say that in SL the natives see Britain as the place:
Where Man Utd is
Where they give you money for nothing
Where they give you a house for free.

Break this down. . .

Amnesty International: ‘Hamas killed and tortured Palestinians’
38 likes
Nearly fell off my chair when I heard that on the news. Was so amazed that I only half-listened to the rest of the report – on Israeli English news – but I think I also heard strong condemnation of Israel.
From Hamas’ point of view that would be deeply insulting – putting them in the same bracket as the Israelis.

There’s now a longer article here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-32894633

Not sure how you can ‘pre-prepare’ anything but that aside, I don’t remember any of their Labour chums being greeted with the ‘pre-prepared answer’ line.
And as for plummy thicko Sara Montague coming out last Friday with,

I say, let’s call the whole thing off
Newsniffer reveals a careful little BBC edit
http://www.newssniffer.co.uk/articles/961622/diff/1/2
Why the need for this edit?

Use of the word ‘interpretation’ qualifies the user for the services of a registered ‘interpreter’, together with the requisite EU and ECHR fees, payable in euros at the standard rate.

Perhaps because there can be only one “version” of Islam, because it is the Word of God, as delivered to a paedophile Arab merchant in a cave (as you do if you’re God), but here can perhaps be different “interpretations” of the one “version”. Anyway, the Beeboids don’t want to get their heads chopped off for saying the wrong thing do they? Give them a break.

‘..they could/might have misinterpreted…’
Agreed. that was my impression. Funny how the BBC is so very sensitive around this particular religion.

Which makes folk actually trying to start wars getting the silent treatment all the more intriguing…
http://bbcwatch.org/2015/05/27/another-gaza-strip-missile-attack-goes-unreported-by-the-bbc-in-english/
Unless, of course, the target reacts…
‘We can however ascertain that the BBC was aware of the fact that a missile attack had taken place because on the morning of May 27th a report on the Israeli response to it appeared on the BBC Arabic website under the interestingly phrased headline “Israeli warplanes launched a series of attacks on military positions of the Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip”.
I would dearly love to hear the CECUTT ‘not news’ excuse for this.

Of course, for balance, with the BBC for every story they for some reason go dark upon, there are those they pursue avidly, almost to a level that makes one wonder if maybe a meeting was once held to agree on such things;

Now in the news v.s not news department if a meeting is happening I have no problem with it being reported; but conditioning the public on how to respond does seem a bit in excess of remit.

Do the BBC think we are blind or is it their sub-editors? Actually, I would go for the second option given their inability to pick obvious photoshopping in Pallywood fauxtography.
A puff piece with a hint of America is better than Britain The myth of bad British teeth by Justin Parkinson in BBC News Magazine wouldn’t normally gain my attention.

This is the BBC: they still employ the journalists, even if all they do is get stories out of the Guardian.

I’ve been thinking about that. The BBC buys dead-tree press? Isn’t that implied by the word ‘copies? Not very Green!
According to the Guardian website a subscription to the paper edition costs ₤43.29 monthly while the digital version costs ₤11.99 ie ₤31.30 less.
In other words, ignoring the bias implied by their choice of media the BBC is wasting a considerable amount of license fee money by not going digital.

The BBC, subversive as always of free thinking.

BBC telling us today that Miranda Hart wants to be known as an actress and not as a gawky six-footer.
Well, excuse me, but her BBC nurtured comedy career is based on her performance as a clown.
And her stand out moment from the movie she is currently plugging – a scene where she bumps into rap artist 50 Cent.
As you might expect the BBC is more than happy to lap up her ludicrous PC double think.

I’ve become struck over the past 48 hours about the similarities in organisations that are;
– Immensely powerful
– rolling in other people’s money
– undemocratic
– corrupt
– lacking in transparency
– unaccountable
– a law unto themselves
So that covers; FIFA, The EU and the BBC

And the UN.

And the IOC. And many major charities.

And the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – UN and EU funded, of course, which means you and I pay for it, whether we want to or not).

There’s a whole bunch of New York Times articles going into depth on the issue. I think they broke the story.

Apparently, even if somebody has used a US ISP, he can be liable for prosecution under US law.
One of those arrested is a US citizen.

Be very, very careful what you wish for.

BBC not keen on the Feds feeling collars?

It seems a large chunk of BBC overseas ‘jounalistic’ activity gets devoted to India and Australia. Not in a good way. By coincidence two countries with governments the BBC would like to change in favour of ones with bbc-approved views, as they attempted here in the UK recently.

I doubt this will have any impact on the BBC’s relentless daft advocacy, mind.

Why are they bothering to waste money on this.
If you need someone to present the weather then surely its just a question of recruiting the person who has the appropriate qualification, can speak properly and doesn’t wilt in front of the cameras. If they happen to be disabled , BME or ideally both, then its a bonus.

The BBC already has ‘news’ vs. ‘not news’ ((c) A. Newsroom Tealady) well established.
Clearly such selectivity also applies to ‘context’.
http://bbcwatch.org/2015/05/28/bbcs-connolly-contextualises-hamas-torture-and-execution-spoiler-its-israels-fault/

I don’t know if Connolly is aware but the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has called on FIFA:
There is much in Palestinian Authority Sports: Glorifying terrorists, prohibiting peace building, celebrating the Munich Olympics massacre of Israeli athletes by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik to counter-balance the BBC assistance to Palestinian propaganda. Somehow I doubt anyone from the BBC has read it.

http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/press-gazette-challenges-police-foi-rejections-over-ripa-public-interest-transparency-issue-can?
Especially this bit, which the BBC uses… a lot…
‘The challenge also takes issue with forces branding Press Gazette FoI questions on this issue as “vexatious”.’
And…
‘No police forces answered these questions, with 29 saying they could not afford to answer under FoI cost restrictions and 16 refusing to confirm or deny whether they held the information. ‘

The Freedom of Information Act is anything but.
The Act was brought in by T. Blair.
